• A Weekend with Chopper...
Eric Bana spends a weekend with Mark Brandon Chopper Read to prepare for his role as Chopper in the movie of the same name. - Игры
The fact Bana didn't get the Oscar for his performance shows how completely invalid the Oscars really are
It was cheapo Indie movie
@@__-wm9lu Is your fav Godzilla king of the monsters?

People only like sad sob stories these days
The academy had no idea just how on point his portrayal of Chopper was

You realize just how good a job eric bana did when you see chopper in the interviews!

Yeah, I knew he was gonna make it big when I saw Bana for the first time in this movie. His copying of this guys manners (f.e his constant way repeating his own sentences which are seen in this clip) down to him nailing his way of speaking perfect was amazing! (Yeeeh! Yeeeh! Fukin' Kin' Kon' roooigh heee!!) This movie is a classic!

Not a truer word said
Yeah he was awesome
Yep Banner did a bang up job

For one second, I thought he might strangle the chicken. But the chicken wasn’t a drug dealer so it was completely safe.
That was a good one.
I fast-forward the chicken bit, as I thourght he was going to kill it
Wait he only killed drug dealers? Idk much
That was fucking great. Thanks. X
Well done ya got me.
Watching this makes me appreciate Eric Bana's performance even more.
well most of it is acting like an Australian and nailing the accent. It helps that Eric Bana is actually an Australian.

Gotta give him credit for that. Say what you like about him he had some principles. Any other cunt would have taken that liver & then ran a shitload of booze through it. The fucking tumour he had was a monster! He shows it off in the last interview 16 days before he died. My livers fucked through heavy drink everyday for the past 27 years. Nearly killed me 2 years ago so I stopped drinking for 5 months then back on it everyday since! I'll be out of here soon. My body is getting its revenge on me & its called a mutiny! Im fucking falling apart at age 43. Lost a few uncles to booze too. The booze will kill you faster than anything. I wonder if his drinking played a part as drank a lot but he was in jail a fucking lot so wasn't drinking then. Aussies fucking love a bevvy though. Aussies are sound. If I lived in that heat I'd be swigging ice cold beer all day too!
Eric bana did a great job being chopper, so many parts of this are recognisable in the movie , he got it so right
I'd love if he played him again in a tv series
“never let the truth get in the way of a good yarn" This from the man himself...
nailed it john.
An Irish saying. Chopper had Irish blood.
Heavyweight champion of sh#t talkers... Total f#ckwit
Apparently the entire Overcoat war in H division started because the screws armed up the local crazy person in the wing (Chopper) and mad him go after the Dockers who hated the screws and governor. The system used Chopper as a tool to fight against other criminals and later the Melbourne police use him the same way when he was on the streets. He was such an important informant and pasty for the police that they even gave him a bullet proof vest to protect himself (which Chopper was wearing on the night he shot the Turk). Chopper talks like hes his own man but he was just a government bootlicker and a yes man.
What a film it was, Eric Bana played him brilliantly and chopper got to see it many times.

The appeal with Chopper was that he had unarguable charisma and charm. He embellished a lot of his stories, but was most definitely still a dangerous psychopath. The man really is engaging and has a wicked sense of humour which does mask the fact he was a bad guy. I could listen to him all day. But I wouldn’t want him round my house.

I met him in a shop in Collingwood years ago. He walked in just before me. I was a youth worker then and we chatted about a few things. He said he became a bit frustrated trying to educate the kids and steer them the right way, and in the end, they just did what they wanted to do. I found him very open and friendly.
