- Damian Lillard sank a stepback three-pointer from just inside the midcourt logo as time expired to lift the Trail Blazers to a 118-115 victory over the Thunder. The Trail Blazers win the series 4-1 and advance to the Western Conference Semifinals where they will face the winner of the Denver Nuggets-San Antonio Spurs series. Lillard finished with a Trail Blazers franchise NBA Playoffs record 50 points (17-33 FG, franchise-record 10-18 3pt FG), 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the victory. Lillard is the only player in NBA Playoffs history to record 50+ points, 5+ rebounds, 5+ assists, and 10+ 3-pointers made in a single NBA Playoffs game.

Having been in clutch situations before, I can relate to what Lillard is feeling. There have been many times in Beer Pong where I’ve sunk the redemption cup and then hit the game winner. Very similar situations from two players at the top of their game.

@@Wuus Yes they get more spotlight but that doesnt mean DL doesnt get a lot. When I think underrated I think guys like Pascal Siakam, Eric Bledsoe, Gordon Hayward because they are overshadowed by the stars on their teams. Lillard is far and away the best player on that team and one of the best players in the conference and the NBA, definitely recognized many times by fans and players alike.

He isn't cluch in the slightest ( at least until now) and hasn't been able to lead a team except for 2017 mvp season ( one of the best mvp seasons ever just for an individual). And as far as I am concerned, the most significant thing in nba is being a leader and winning when it matters. However what bothers me is cancelling whar he has succeed. He is the most explosive pg ever ( for me maybe the most explosive player ever) he is a freak of nature , and even though he is stat padding , there are few players who could average a triple double even via stad padding. That has no impact on teams success but it shows his talent. If he was cluch and had rings and fmvps he could be top 3 pg because he would be both hell of an athlete and generally skillfull player along with being a winner

He always felt underrated and last season people finally noticed him and he was first team all nba but then he had the worst series of his career against the Pelicans. After that series people called him overrated and a choke artist. This season he feels that to really prove his value he needs to do it on the playoffs.
