Tomorrow is Canada Day and July 4th is right after... So let's have cake!! 🇨🇦🇺🇸 How are you all celebrating? OR if you're not in Canada or the US, where are you and what day do you celebrate??
I'm from Brazil and we have an Independence Day (7 of September)... But it is barely celebrated. We have many other holidays through the year that receive much more attention. For example: during June we have 3 religious holidays that compose our "Junine Party", so basically we celebrate an entire month with carnivals fulfilled with the most delicious sweets for this season!!! 😂😂😂
I'm from Trinidad,a Caribbean island, and we have Independence day on August 31st and Republic day on September 24th!
I'm a West Indian from Dominica and we celebrate Independence Day on November 3rd :)
In Australia we celebrate Australia Day on the 26th of January
I am from the Phillipines! Yeah that's way far from US... Anyways we celebrate our Independence Day every 12th of June and yeah it's we celebrate every year hehe💖
i feel like Yo is the friend that knows when you’re having a bad day and brings you a giant cake to make you feel better😂
❤❤❤❤
Mia Pace I wish I had that friend but all of my are lazy.
@@acornstar2254 become this friend yourself then :)
Mia Pace, most definitely!😋☺️❤️🤍💙
Your having a bad day...here’s a cake Nervous for the job interview...here’s a cake Your car broke down...here’s a cake You should be doing your homework, but you aren’t...here’s a cake
The blue portion of the American flag is referred to as a “union.”
THANK YOU!! I knew there had to be a name!!
How To Cake It Yeah... They like to make a name and give some sort of symbolism for everything. Haha.
That shows what I know I thought it was just the blue field of stars
@Cerebro.crash I did too 🥺
Cerebro.crash The only reason I even knew what the name was is that being in the military, those names and symbolisms are drilled into your brain.
Me: omg I wonder if she actually cut out all 50 stars?
Also me: it’s Yolanda of course she cut out 50 tiny stars...
And all 13 stripes, I love her attention to detail
I had to be accurate!!
I know that I'm not the only one who's wants to see her pantry
I like how history is entirely different based on what country you live.
Isn't that so cool!?
"The border between is is closed, just look up."
That honestly killed me and I don't know why 😂
@Quinn Lzd I thought that was really funny too! 😂
I'm in New Zealand, and we have Waitangi Day on February 6. In our Southern Hemisphere summer!
I live on the beautiful island of Anguilla in the Caribbean. We celebrate Anguilla on May 30th. This day represents when we got independence from St. Kitts in 1967. You should come visit Anguilla sometime. I would love to meet you.😁😁😁🙃❤
I’m from st kitts 😊
I'm from St Catharines Canada and its nickname is St Kitts for some reason and so I was confused when you got independence from our city 😂
Love how she celebrates both days!
Hi👋
🇨🇦🇺🇸
It bothers me how she overpraises the States even more than her own country.
Everybody's talking about that but you know that cake looks delicious girl
This cake is amazing 🤤
In Germany, we celebrate the „Day of German unity“ on october 3rd. We celebrate the completion of reunification of east- an west Germany 🤗🇩🇪(sorry for the bad spelling, I‘m obviously german😂)
Your spelling is perfect!
Omg german day is the same as mean girls day😼
Danke:)) and ur spelling is perfect 😂
Thats cool i had no idea

So fun to watch Yo how she caking her cakes.. Really make my day...😊💙😘
Love the unity of the two countries in a cake, how sweet
Next Canada day you should do smaller cakes for each province/territory! You could even make special flavours for each of them!
Have you thought about a t shirt that says "it's my kitchen, you're just caking in it" 🎂
That's funny!!!
Does she have one saying ”it’s my kitchen and I'll cake if I want to”
"The blue part" of Old Glory is known as the field (in my experience), but it is more formally called the canton or the union. :) Thanks for celebrating with us Americans! Happy Canada Day to you!
Thank you!! I knew their had to be a name for it

In South Africa, the closest celebration we have is called Freedom Day on 27 April but we don't really shoot fireworks we just celebrate
That's still fun!
We muslims celebrate “eid al adha” in about a month from now.. can you do a sheep shaped cake for us ?
Edi al adha is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year (the other being Eid al-Fitr), and considered the holier of the two. It honours the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God's command. But, before Ibrahim could sacrifice his son, God provided a lamb to sacrifice instead. In commemoration of this intervention, an animal, usually a sheep, is sacrificed ritually and divided into three parts. One share is given to the poor and needy, another is kept for home, and the third is given to relatives. This year Eid al adha is going to be on july 31
Hey I am too muslim
Sounds very cool! 🐑
I love how she always does something for Canada day and 4th of July ❤🤍💙🇨🇦🇺🇲
Yo: Reading this would be a pain
Also Yo: Continues reading the diagram
My 3 yo thoroughly enjoyed the “squeaky” part and made me replay it 3 times. He also said “Woooow that’s a coooool cake!”
😂 Oh he would love Alvin and the Chipmunks!!
How To Cake It you’d think so! But nope. Full grown woman talking like a chipmunk is much funnier!
Just want to say I love your humour and you are VERY INTELLIGENT AND SMART!!!
I'm from Chile 🇨🇱❤ and we celebrate the18th september, is a huuge celebration with a lot of traditions.
How ironic would it be if she decorated the flags on the wrong side of the cake 🤣
😂 Imagine!
11:46 was the cutest Canadian “OH” you’ve ever said Yo ! 🥳 you’ve inspired me to start back into cake decorating! I used to do it all the time I have so many supplies that have been neglected , after my grandma passed (she’s the woman who got me started into everything I do craft wise and baking/cake decorating wise ) i had no desire to decorate a single cake or cookie or make a single brownie or pie etc. I’m ready to jump back in full heartedly all with grandma in my mind and heart ❤️ thank you you so much for the re-inspiration🙏🏻 HAPPY 4th OF JULY ♥️ 🤍 💙 🇺🇸 🧨💥
HAPPY CANADA DAY 🇨🇦 🍁 ♥️ 🤍
Oh my goodness the cake looks SO GOOD. I love the cakes that you make!
Yo, I just want to thank you for continuing to bring us amazing and creative content through all of this! My 8 year old son and I have been watching your videos before bed since he was about 4/5 years old. It’s a “treat” for him 😊 He always says “How does she make everything SO PERFECT Mommy!” I tell him it’s because she works so hard to be the best in her field! During quarantine and our city’s (Chicago, Il) unrest you have helped me as a black mom keep some normalcy and giving my little guy some sweet dreams every night
😉🥰🤗. He’s also going to be mad when he sees I watched this without him! 🤣
I really wanna know if shes ever dropped a cake on the way to the fridge
Oh noo 😂😂
Probably sometime in her life but I wanna say no because......... ummmmmm..... she’s Yolanda?! 😂
Maybe in her earlier years as a baker. And maybe only one or two times.

In Sweden we have "Sveriges nationaldag" witch is the 6th of July🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪 btw love u Yo❤️❤️

Alright, this is my first time watching a RUclips vid that just been uploaded few seconds ago
Edit : this happens only bcs quarantine

I'm from the UK (the union flag- 🇬🇧) and we celebrate St. Georges Day. It falls on the 23rd April next year. Love your videos Yolanda. Xxxxxx
Love it...finally got my crumb coat & chill bundle along with a sprinkle subscription for my birthday, from my daughter. So love it....❤.
I say when you made this cake, you brought your "eh" game!! You know your A game!!! I mean you rocked this cake!!! I love it!!
I’m from the uk so we don’t actually have a ‘day’ to celebrate so I watch this instead 😂😂😂
Nope, at least not yet, although 50% of us wont be celebrating that. We dont really celebrate the queens bday and its not really the same thing.
Faenum true and she has two anyway
Probably because everyone is celebrating spliting from the uk😂😂
If in not wrong then countries celebrating their Day because they got independence from the Britishers . So obviously UK will not have any day like it
I need that tool she uses to scrape the mixer, so cool! ALSO, I love your videos Yolanda! You are so talented!
Loved it....decorated it sooo beautifully
I’m from Denmark, and we celebrate “constitution day” or grundlovsdag in Danish on June 5th.
" who did the math?! Me..."
"Oh there is leftover" 😂
😂 no one to blame but me!
😂😂😂
I just love you. You're so much fun to watch, and your cakes are phenomenal!
23rd April St. George's Day in England. I watch every time with my 2 girls Esmé 7 (Es-may) and Amélie 5 (Am-a-lee). Keep up the great work 😊
The rectangle part of a flag is known as the "Canton"
Interesting!! I knew there had to be a name for it
Fun Fact: The blue part of the American flag is called the Canton or the Union, and the red and white stripes are called the field. Granted, I could be totally wrong but that is what I found
American here. Some references to the blue portion with the stars call it the Field of Stars.
Yolanda Gampp never fails to make me laugh, while teaching me how to be creative!!! This video ROCKS!!!
Happy Canada Day!!! 🇨🇦 I’m Canadian currently in Alberta & it’s raining on this celebratory day! Still going to enjoy my day though. Love that cake 😍😍😍
Yolanda the American flag has 13 strips indicating that there where first 13 colonies and 50 stars for 50 states
Italy: June 2nd, it’s called Festa della Repubblica, we celebrate June the 2nd 1946 when our country voted and became a Democratic Republic (before we were a Monarchy)🇮🇹💕
That’s the date of my birthday! Wow!!
One of my favorite cakes!!!
Major kudos to you for keeping track of which side is which when it's all iced and you can't see the layers anymore. That would do my head in.
OMG im actually here early usually i get here like 7 hours after it airs

Haha in Australia we have “Australia Day” I know very creative but it’s on January 26
I love finding out people are Canadian! ♥️ 🇨🇦
Such a festive cake💙 I can’t believe it’s already July
In the UK we don’t have any sort of “day” like this! Sad times 😂
Guy fawkes day??
Naomi Marshall we don’t have that as a bank holiday. I think maybe Boxing Day is the closest thing the uk has but there is no events attach to it anymore.
It’s because we went to all the other countries and ‘discovered’ them long after they’d been inhabited and subsequently we as a country we responsible for many murders in many different countries during the time of discovery. The deeper you long into British history the sadder it becomes.
PS this was a module in my A level History course so that’s why I know this🤣😂x
I would say guy fawkes day as it’s the day someone tried to blow up parliament but you’re right, it’s not a bank holiday like every other country has
same
This is the first tome ive been early
My birthday is the 5th of November which is Bonfire Night with lots and lots of fireworks!! Everyone here in the UK Celebrates it 🎆🎇✨
