Reminds me of my grandfather, and i, he passed when i was 4 and he was the last full blood in our family, ive always missed him dearly, and this songs reminds me of the sound of his voice when he told me stories, great song Bill.
This video will always remind me of the rez, and of my family, and the stories that my Mother and my grandmother would tell the kids. Bill Miller is just truly an amazing artist.

I,think, Bill Miller is a amazing singing and entertainer! I never knew he even existed until I heard one of his songs on Facebook...now I cannot get enough of him! I lived beside the Eel Ground Reservation, on the Miramichi, N.B., Canada. My best friends were Native American..and their was a road that divided our home from the Barnaby home...It was called The Reservation Road...I still am best friends with all of those people to this day!
wow, how are things? I love Bill Miller too...saw him in NH, NM, and Nevada....He wrote a song I don't see here. about a little girl who had a disability and was picked on, but was free at the end of the song. Nita was her name I think. I will look it up.
I had the privilege of talking to Bill a year or two ago after he played a few tunes at a local campus in Tennessee. We talked about how I really connected with him on both of us having had resented our fathers who were no longer with us. I told him he inspired me to finally forgive him. Bill seemed glad and understood.
We need more people in the world like Bill Miller.

I have VERY white skin, but am a half-blood of Cherokee, Choctaw and Chickamauga ancestry and I am a tribal member as well. Skin color has nothing to do with it, if precious Indian blood has been diluted over time with white blood, then you will "appear" to be "white, but you are not. Embrace your heritage.
