Thank you! fun to do and then re live editing. LOl Wife maybe not like it so much.. I will figure out how to message everyone following on here and let them know where Im going so we can have meet up days, I did it last year and we had a lot of success making more videos. those episodes will come soon Im starting from the beginning and it was me mostly testing. Look forward to meeting up!
Thanks man. Funny thing is massive people have had the same results and sent me pics or told me personally how well they improved..the feed back has been great and useful..I can tell you this if you mend your line detect the mouthing and just lift to set the hook and a leader set up dialed in you will out fish your buddies 10 to 1..lol..they will not laugh..it's fun watching them rub it in and there buddies come and start asking questions....hope to meet some day...don't hesitate to ask questions or book one on one training.
Fun video Steve !!!! Fish On !!!! This year with the combined runs will definitely provide lots of action in those rivers. Nice tips. Reading the water, casting to the right spots, rigged for the spot, working the gear for the spot, etc.... like you are doing makes such a huge difference. 10 - 90 , 90 - 10. You are definitely in the 10 percent catching 90 percent plus lol.
Thanks bro, I am hoping the runs are good..at least the pinks will be good for people to learn how to catch fish. I. Hoping the kings are stranger this year...thanks again..like your vids too. Hope we can slay some together soon.
I am moving out to the renton area in july and am looking forward to getting into fishing out there. I cant wait to seeing more of your videos when the pinks come in august.
Thanks man, it will be fun, I will be meeting people there a few times for sure, I have started a face book page and forum, still working on it, but I will have dates to book one on one or just meet on group follower's days to just fish and make more media for RUclips.. Stay in touch and maybe meet you there!
Hey Steve this is my first year trying eggs on the green, not looking for your favorite spot but a area to start. I know my cure on my pink eggs are nowhere near good like yours but would love to see a bobber down for the first time. Thanks in advance. 👊💯
No. Indont use fixed weights anymore..the fish will feel it when they mouth it then spit. You won't feel it spit it in time because it lifts the weight before moving your rod tip. With a slider weight you feel the fish and it doesn't feel the weight before moving your rod tip...yes a no 2 hook with 12 Cheater on bad presure days and 12 Cheater with no 4 hook on all other days..switch back and forth depending on the changing presure..I have a video and best time to fish chart. Checkbot out.
Nice videos!! You keep proving it again and again. Your technique works. So basically, your drift fishing philosophy is to keep the hook and corkie floating in their face by mending the rod up? I've honestly never seen it done that way. Everyone just let's their rod swing, and then yanks at the end of drift, usually snagging a fish. I've never thought of making it float more. Correct me if I'm wrong
You got it, a couple things are happening with this, I got my gear to float at different levels and I know which one is doing what. so 2 good base set ups for that are the no. 4 hook and a 12 cheater or a no. 2 hook and a cheater. I'm pretty specific to the hooks weight though, a Brad no 4 hook weighs more than my main go to hook which is No. 4 owner steelhead drift hook, be careful they have a no. 4 mosquito hook and its really light, I will actually make a video with the exact weight so if a guy has a different brand he will know if its sinking lower or the same. So, now say on a good barometric pressure day I use my go to #4 owner steelhead side drift hook and #12 cheater, it will float perfect on those good day when fish travel normal, when it changing(presure) they stay out of faster traveling lanes into slower water areas. and lower to the bottom so switch to a no 2 hook and same cheater and its just enough to get back in their faces. once you have this dialed you can hand this set up to any newbie! and teach them to keep the slack out of the line, mend it, with a slider weight, when they lightly lift to mend there line they will feel the fish trying to spit it or back away from it and just continue lifting fish on! those 2 things have to be in line to really up your odds, I can say its been unreal how well and many times I help people this last 2 years that are not catching and as soon as I give them my leader and explain to mend they stop yanking and start catching... man there have been so many recorded days coming out soon where I am limited drinking a beer and watch an entire row of guys all change from yanking 2 Ot hooks to mending and catching...the other plus is the on/offs I get are because the no. 4 hook is to small to snag so you waste less time dragging in side planning fish snagged in the back tail or belly.. and doesn't hurt the fish with massive rips in the flesh, lots of pro vs cons.
Hey, I started watching your videos last year! Do you have any other preferred cheater colors on the Green River? I can't find that black you're using anywhere!
Ya. It's that time...it's al ready hard to find the gear it's selling out fast. No 4 hooks amd 12 cheaters in black won't be easy to get..call auburn sports marine and order the cheaters..I have a couple hundred. But won't last since I help family fish. I will maybe do a video now on the gear and how I rig everything.
What area are you in..south king north king tacoma?. I going to find a place to meet followers and do just that couple beers and tie gear talk this season and set some group days on puyallup..
@@williamdarden2548 I'm going to Cowlitz tomorrow. Make sure to stalk up on the #4 owner hooks in my video and #12 cheaters. I use black most but redish. Pinkish work good to. Black is most natural. Black yarn..make it look like a fly.
Yes, I eneded up getting a guide license so I can take out subscribers at a low cost, only $50.00, and I either go to your spot and river, and help you figure it out, or I take you to a new spot on a local river I hit.
U really were in actions...love it👍💓👍
@kska1520 haha thanks, yes pink salmon years are crazy off the hook with my drift set up..
@@steveperdueshowtofishingti2172 I really want to catch a Chinook....never one b4....gotta keep trying...👍😁💓👍

Use Google earth and look in tuckwilla area. Fort dent Park is a big park on the river.
Cool thanks I was just at the entrance under the walk bridge. I'll check out the rest of the park thanks bro.
Do you prefer the fixed weighting system or sliding? And I noticed you said you liked the size 2 hook on your technique in this video.

If you don't use black use, redish orangish color's and pinkish then just use eggs smell on it so they don't move and suck it in..
Im from Bremwrton and dont know much about Green river. Where is this at if i may ask. You can IM me if you like. Thank you.

What is a “cheater”
It is a float, that goes on the hook to help it float..they also have floats called corkies..
