I'm hoping you're the guy that can sort my problem, my oven starting sparking & arcing the other day, scared me to death, I quickly turned it off & gave it a few minutes before turning it back on, the oven still worked but it was only blowing cold air (it's an under-counter fan oven in it's own 600mm base unit). Not being sure if it's just the element that's burned out, I decided to look for a temp replacement until I finally get around to getting a new kitchen fitted, the cooker's been in since the house was built 25 years ago, so I thought it not worth trying to fix. I found one on Ebay that was cheap & local, but when I got it back home I could see that it wouldn't fit into my base unit because of the socket that's housed inside there & the gas pipe for the hob, the old oven had a weird shape to it at the back & missed these obsticles, but not only that, I could also see that they had just fitted a plug to it themselves so they could plug it in & show me that it worked when I picked it up, so that then told me that they must have had it in a larder/housing unit. I could get the oven in the base unit if I take out the shelf that it's supposed to sit on, which means that it would be sat on the bottom of the base unit, would that cause any problems? Does there have to be a space under the actual oven for air to circulate? Also, would I be okay to just carry on using the plug that they fitted themselves? There is also a socket with a big red switch that operates the electic supply to the socket inside the oven base unit, that's at worktop level in the tile work. I don't have a socket on the wall that I can just wire an oven to independently, like you would with a larder/housing unit.

Hi, I would like help with the problem I have with the operation of my "De Dietrich" UMP 404 baking oven (year of manufacture 2000), the point is that when I start baking (for example, normal baking in an upper and lower heating body with a thermostat at 175 degrees Celsius) the heating starts and then after a few minutes (5-8 minutes) The oven is disconnected and stops working (without tripping the automatic circuit breaker in the home electrical panel) and the oven's general clock is flashing (that is, there is no electricity in the oven), and after I adjust the clock and reset it, and return the thermostat and the baking program to what it was before (returns everything again) then it goes back to working normally without interrupting the baking until I stop it. Hi I have an electrolux fan oven which looks the same as the one in your video. My oven and grill keeps going off after 15 or 20 mins. The red light on the left stays on but the heating red light goes off and it won't work again until it cools down. I thought it might be the thermostat but before the oven goes off if I knock the temp down it stops heating and if I turn it back up it starts heating again. So made me doubt myself. Also we have noticed the oven seems to be very hot on the front where the timer is so now I'm wondering if its the cooling fan that has stopped working and the safety thermostat is turning the oven off. I've a fan oven which seems to trip the rcd when switching on the oven, I've checked resistance on the internal and base oven elements which are okay, checked the main board and caps, so a little stumped. I have a standard benchtop oven/toaster and it only goes to 260C I want 300 350C to cook Pizzas it has 2 elements top and 2 on the bottom ..want to fit 2 thermostats and put some insulation around the outside..Can this be done??

I checked the multimeter shows 00.2 reading at the lowest "200" and it does sound beeeeeeeeee . Is it faulty or not the problem with my oven it takes a long time to cook the food then it should be, I checked the grill element and the another element that attached with the fan both work fine so I though my problem with thermostat.

My oven was working fine. Oven said I need it clean it set it to clean itself cleaning completed.now turns on fine but elements will not get hot you can hear fans running timer works. But will not get hot.
Hi, just been watching your youtube videos on repairing single integrated ovens From the video I think I need a Stoves 444410141 Temperature Sensor -The oven takes time to reach a temperaturem (22 minutes to get to 220 degrees) -When I check the temperature its higher than selected e.g. on Fan assisted I selected 220 degrees but when I measured the temperature it was 270 degrees. I have a Thor Kitchen TKG3001U 30inch .This thing will come on and act like its been turned on and run for a min and then turn off .It will do this a few times a day . There is no electric panel switch with buttons, they are all knobs.

Whats the chances of a brand new element being faulty? Have 240V at element, no heat. Replaced element and still no heat. AEG fan oven. Prior to no heat the oven went out of control too hot

Is it possible for the thermostat to be wrong? Let's say you set the oven to 250 degrees but it stops heating at 150. Wouldn't that mean that the thermostat rod would have to be physically wrong? What I mean is, if the oven stops at the temperature you set it to, that means that thats the temperature inside the oven. It can't be "off" since a thermostat is a physical thing and not a program which can be configurated wrong. I'm having an argument with someone claiming their oven is faulty because their pizza takes "twice as long to cook" but all the elements and the fan works and the oven has a thermometer that says it has reached the applied temperature. I would have understood if the thermometer showed the wrong degrees but a thermostat is a thermostat... I don't know how to explain it too him. Can I be wrong?
I would like to remove the digital clock/temp control for my oven on my older Maytag gas range, to a analog or hand control in other words back to 1960 style backing. Please do not say go out and buy a new stove, I'm retired on a very modest income.

Did you try the oven bulb? Remove the bulb and plug the oven and have a look.

Hi I have a whirlpool double oven AKZ 516, its a double oven. main oven not heating up to required temperature maybe 50% Can I repair this myself cheers Donal
I checked the multimeter shows 00.2 reading at the lowest "200" and it does sound beeeeeeeeee . Is it faulty or not the problem with my oven it takes a long time to cook the food then it should be, I checked the grill element and the another element that attached with the fan both work fine so I though my problem with thermostat.
Hi I had a ring element go on an oven. After replacing it there thermostat control stopped working. I then discovered that there was current between the plug to the chassis. Any suggestions?

My oven was working fine. Oven said I need it clean it set it to clean itself cleaning completed.now turns on fine but elements will not get hot you can hear fans running timer works. But will not get hot.

Hi, just been watching your youtube videos on repairing single integrated ovens
From the video I think I need a Stoves 444410141 Temperature Sensor
-The oven takes time to reach a temperaturem (22 minutes to get to 220 degrees)
-When I check the temperature its higher than selected
e.g. on Fan assisted I selected 220 degrees but when I measured the temperature it was 270 degrees.
I've emailed your shop to see if you have the part thanks

I have a Thor Kitchen TKG3001U 30inch .This thing will come on and act like its been turned on and run for a min and then turn off .It will do this a few times a day . There is no electric panel switch with buttons, they are all knobs.
I guess I'm confused if a circuit is open then the electricity shouldn't go through or am I wrong if the circuit is closed and it should pass electricity through it I guess I was confused about your explanation of the points

Is it possible for the thermostat to be wrong? Let's say you set the oven to 250 degrees but it stops heating at 150. Wouldn't that mean that the thermostat rod would have to be physically wrong?
What I mean is, if the oven stops at the temperature you set it to, that means that thats the temperature inside the oven. It can't be "off" since a thermostat is a physical thing and not a program which can be configurated wrong.
I'm having an argument with someone claiming their oven is faulty because their pizza takes "twice as long to cook" but all the elements and the fan works and the oven has a thermometer that says it has reached the applied temperature.
I would have understood if the thermometer showed the wrong degrees but a thermostat is a thermostat... I don't know how to explain it too him. Can I be wrong?
I would like to remove the digital clock/temp control for my oven on my older Maytag gas range, to a analog or hand control in other words back to 1960 style backing. Please do not say go out and buy a new stove, I'm retired on a very modest income.
