- DarkRPG is a Minecraft RPG & Performance based mods modpack for Minecraft Java 1.18.1 created by GamerPotion. This modpack contains Fabric mods and ability to load shaders. With 60+ mods, you will never get bored of Minecraft in this unique experience. This modpack is based on role playing and exploration. With the performance mods like sodium, you will immediately notice a boost when playing (compared to a vanilla game). The FPS counter on the lower left will show you your stats. You can pick a class to play your survival game and do some questing.

First of all fantastic job! Enjoying thoroughly. Have you considered adding chisels n bits or something like it? It would go very well with the race height differences. And perhaps custom doors mod thinking about it. It would add a tonne of build diversity. Think like the minnish in zelda, or the human and giant sized stairs in dark souls

Thinking on it, if chisels and bits doesn't work, tiny blocks or little tiles may be a decent replacement. They all do similar things

How do you increase your magic to use spells?
I know I'm late to the game on this, been looking for a RPG style mod for awhile now. Thought I had a good one going with Medieval Minecraft until it crashed and I couldn't recover my world. Which sucks, I was finally 'almost' to the top of a Zygurate dungeon :(
So my 'very late question' as this video is a year old, is: How is the stability of this mod? I plan on DL'ing it once I am off work and home and giving it a run through on normal, just to test it out.
But I will say, First impressions, it looks absolutely awesome! Really good visuals and I like the quests menu and QOL adjustments. Really excited to try it :)
Hey :) sorry for the late reply! ive worked with some really experienced mc players to make this pack really stable and we have fine-tuned the config for it too. the 1.19+ version might be slightly different to the 1.18 trailer you saw but it has even more weapons and armors, and new biomes too. hope you will enjoy thie pack :)
the server crashes sometimes, but its really fun. Just remember to update it if you can't join.

There's a glitch where you click C to zoom in but even after u toggle off u still get this wavey effect. The only answer I've found is a restart

Hello, This modpack looks really interesting and I want to try it out, but every time I try to launch it up I get an error about java being unable to create a virtual machine. This error does not happen with any other modpacks I play, and I'm sure it's not a too little RAM issue, as I am giving it around 8 MB of RAM. I've looked up other solutions online and tried them, but none have worked so far. Any clue what I can do to try out this pack?
Hi, what launcher are you tring to use? are you using curseforge? if so, when it opens the minecraft launcher, click on installations, then where it says darkrpg, click the 3 dots, click on edit, click on More Options dropdown, then for JVM arguments click on "reset" and change -Xmx2G into -Xmx4G, try running it and see if that works?

Hey :) yeah really sorry about that! the house build mod is on version 2.2, and at 2.3 we had to remove it because it was causing crashes.
if you want to play singleplayer then get 2.2
but if you want multiplayer i would recommend 2.4 but it wont have that mod sorry :(

Hi, thats a good question! I think at the time I wanted a renewable source, so people can always find zombies to kill and get diamonds, also on the server, since it has so many people joining, there will come a time when it may be hard to find materials so this way its easier

Hey, sorry the new update updated the souls mod, so you need to make sure you are using the updated version of the modpack and you wont see that error then

How long will you continue to be updating this modpack? Is there a "final version" you envision?
Hey :) thats a good question! I think it is still early to say about final as there are a few updates I have got planned for it in coming weeks. The next one being the flying wings update. In terms of updating, it will be on-going and eventually I look to take it to version 1.18.2 and then 1.19 when the mods are updated ;)

@@gamerpotion Honestly, the updates are great. Reading the patch notes, you seem to care a lot about the feedback you’re given from others and you want to make your modpack the best it can be. It does update quite frequently though and I was wondering what the reason for that is. Are you just very actively working on it? Maybe trying to balance it or find out what mods feel the best?
Hey thanks! :) ah yeah so there are actually 2 types of updates. Due to some recent changes in the pack Ive had to do some "hotfix" updates which dont really affect the server if people dont update for example. These hotfix updates are labelled like 2.8b1 or 2.8b2 but then the major updates I always try to do on a saturday if there is something major to add or remove, that is when it changes from 2.8b to 2.8c or 2.9 for example.. I think the pack should be more stable now so you wont be seen that many frequent updates in the week like the last couple of weeks! also if you do see anything that doesnt work or something that needs correcting just let me know and I can try to fix! thanks :)
Can you make a video of fps boost mods that works with optifabric cuz Optifabric gives more fps with and without shaders than iris and sodium for some reason , I would highly appreciate it , Btw Good vid as always

The repairing mechanic at an anvil is broken, is there a mod thats causing this?

On the curseforge page there’s an image of a baby ender dragon. How do you get it? Haven’t been able to find any mod for it or seen any quest so far.
hi, sorry that was in 1.18.2 with a mod called AdventureZ. It was later found to create lag on servers so in 1.19 has been taken out. If you still want that you can get the 1.18.2 version of the pack

Hey, if you press the (i) button it should bring the quest menu and if you hover on left side it will show the different categories ;)

Hey I am having a bug with both the forge and fabric versions. Whenever I try to play the modpack it goes to minecraft launcher then when I click play it says could not create the java virtual machine and crashes. Any help would be appreciated! The pack looks really good!

hi, you can either do "/gamerule keepInventory false" everytime you log on as server admin or you can also delete the darkinventory mod from your server files as well

Playing on forge edition. How do we add shaders??
there is a lot of new players getting in but no "real players" they only enter to get the diamond achievement and stay afk for ages in the spawn. making the server always full and i cant play none of these days bc its always full with players that dont play and stay afk in spawn

As an Inchling, I can't climb blocks. I just get glitched, kinda like old EPearl glitching into blocks it feels like

me any my friends have been playing on the server and at first we were playing on a old server, but than randomly we got updated to the newest server. But now everytime we log into the server it wont let us play on the newer version anymore. Any help?

ahh ok, are you using a hosting service like bisect ? if you wait for version 2.6c to be approved it should solve the issue.
they havent approved it yet on curseforge
im playing as red panda race and on first person view the left hand keeps blocking the view. Is there a way to change some settings to fix that or is it a bug? Quite annoying to be honest
Hey, sorry that is a bug yeah, its when the origin mod conflicts with the epic fight mod :( unfortunately we cant do anything. But in the new update 1.0.2 I have removed those origins, I have also added orb of origin to the emergency items in quest screen and added new repeatable quests.

Hi sure you can either drop new mods into the mods folder or in CurseForge app click 3 dots and enable profile edit for it and add new mods that way

Can you change GolfIV config right now it removes Spawn eggs we get from quests and also it wipes enchantments,
AdventureZ got cool hidden feature what allows all enchantments +1 so we can get like unbreaking IV and so on but cause of that GolfIV it wipes them off,
It might also ruin potion extra time from origin job thing but haven't tested that

Spawn eggs cant test don't have any right now XD but sure will test later when modpack gets updated, but if you removed it from banlist in the config it should work

and i did try that forge version sure skill books are cool but i dont see point to switch just for like 2 mods - bunch of other mods,
+ if you add lobbys then might need add all those classic /tpa to player and /home /back (+ iam fine with the current vanilla travel + using one magic mod we can already tp back home and using friends enderpearlstaces we can travel there),
anyway it all depends on what you want your modpack to be and what you want your server to be
hey mr, using your modpack server, and i updated to 2.4b from 2.3c and got teleported 23 thousand blocks away from my base. Is there a mod that is ever around to help with the server?
Hey :) so sorry about that! the server we are using wasnt able to cope with all the players, origins, mods etc, so we had to use a world border mod ;( so maybe your character is not able to go there now. what were the coords of your base?
Can you unclaim portal at end in middle so people can resummon dragon for quests,
You might need to claim end yourself and then in settings you can select "Public" for Block edit and Block Interaction, maybe do same for spawn 2.
Or probably need to add rule to only claim your own actually base not random land (or just regularly look at player play time or last seen and unclaim all of them who got less then 1h of playing or haven't been seen in like months)
sorry misread your comment. I see what you mean now. I will get that permission fixed for the respawn issue. It will ban all claims in The End.
@@gamerpotion You still need to unclaim the claim in end now noone can claim but its still claimed
hi, thanks for the update, sorry didnt check that, I thought it would wipe it off with the permission, guess was wrong. It should now be unclaimed so no one can now make any claims in the End and the Nether also.

How to spawn bosses?
Hey, I'm trying to host a server on my pc, but whenever i try to start start.bat i just get bombarded with errors. All the FAQ says is: "Q. How can I use the serverpack?
A. Use the start.bat file that comes with the serverpack to start it on your machine or upload all the files to a server host." so i have no idea what i'm doing wrong. i've never used fabric before
Hi it should say done at the bottom . What errors are you seeing? It may just be warning messages which is normal, does it stop and at the bottom say something like done or xaeros map?
@@gamerpotion no, it straight up died. But it's ok, i managed to fix it. The problem was that fabric needs java 17 apparently, so i downloaded that and it works now.
EDIT: actually while the server in itself works, i can't connect to it and it's like the port is closed. But the port is actually open and other modpacks servers work fine
hi to test it you can just use 'localhost' as the server ip and it should connect, it should allow you to enter to test things out that way
@@gamerpotion nevermind, i solved it. The firewall didn't like the new java version i got so it blocked it, it should be all good now

Hi, sorry that was one of the main reasons for lag and crashes having extra things that shouldnt be possible normally. I think elytra slot might be possible so will look into re-adding soon

How do I see mobs from a long distance?
go to Config, then Graphics, then increase render distance and simulation distance,
then go to Quality tab on top and increase entity distance
Could you add tiny boats/mounts for inchlings? Or maybe update the existing ones so they're more inchling friendly.

@@ayathados6629 hi, it sounds like something is wrong with the server setup.. please wipe all the files from online, then unzip the serverpack again for 2.7b and then upload the folders again. I have not used pebble before, but if its similar to bisect then it may run the custom.jar file for fabric, so rename the fabric-server-launch.jar file to custom.jar or whatever it looks for, then restart the server.
if you run the start.bat file on your desktop you can see the server works fine as localhost so it is a case of setting it up on the host provider properly
Hi, I'm playing the 1.19 version (I couldn't find a video link for that one, so asking here.. hope that's okay..) - I'm not sure why but it seems like the cave mode of Xaero's minimap is unavailable? Not sure why, but it seems permanently set to being "off" even if I change the settings to being 2x2 or 3x3 ceiling mode.. is there another mod that is conflicting with it turning it off? I'd really like to have it on :) any help would be very appreciated!

Hi, sorry for my late reply. I could not replicate the issue but I think it is due to the fact that the pack comes with Xaero's fair play edition minimap and not the full one. If you like you can get the normal version - www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/xaeros-minimap/files/3970091
then go into the modpack's "mods" folder, delete the fairplay file and place the normal jar file inside there, then run the modpack and see if that helps?
I will also check with the author of the mod and see if this is a bug or is intentional. Hope you are otherwise enjoying the pack! :)

Hi great modpack, just a small issue with the server. In the nether, when a player enters a chunk it has a chance of causing the server to crash. Any idea how to fix?

Switching from the 2.5b to 2.6d screwed my server with the change of xearo's maps to the FTBchunck, we can't even log on. Does anyone know a way to fix this?
hi, just to confirm, is your server now running 2.6d ? or 2.5b?

look inside mods folder of server and delete xaero's map files,
then on your clients download 2.6d and it should work.
alternatively, you can leave xaero's map files inside mods folder and use 2.5b and it should work also.

im wildly upset with the removal of vampire origin and the copious amount of blocks, ruined an entire RP server me and my friends curated and now its unplayable the same way we were all uniquely experiencing it, you have promptly lost 6 players.
hi what do you mean? I dont think there was any blocks that got removed, if there was it go re-added. Vampire origin at the time had to be taken out due to server crashes, I can look into adding it back in as well. What blocks did you find were missing?

ah ok, I think some of those mods were taken out due to server crashes. have you tried the recent version? a lot has changed and we are now moving into the direction of custom recipes, if you stick around you will see some cool additions
@@gamerpotion my main concern is no longer being able to be a vampire as it dismantles our entire playthrough, we can always replace blocks but having to rp an origin doesn't exactly work for such an intuitive game and mod.
@@gamerpotion still returning to this mod and sad to say things have simply been fully removed when previously fully functional and seemingly thought out, and replaced with troublesome origins that me and my friends have had to already go into creative mode in our survival RP specific server to fix, honestly its nice you have built something so full we can start again with new characters and origins but the fact yall released something able to be relied on and then changed it resulting in a mass amount of at least 100 dollars spent on servers of the previous versions for our friends, only to have everything attached to said purchased made unplayable due to un notified removals, sad to have to greive over something like Minecraft. hope yall end up finding yall's way in making a stable and reliable modpack

Does anyone know how to keep a chunk loaded in 1.20.1? It seems kind of useless making automation farms if there's no way to do so. The only mod I know of that can keep chunks loaded is from FTB Utilities which isn't in the pack.

Hey Gamerpotion, I have been using the mod for a little now and we started a multiplayer server through bisect hosting. A bug has been occuring with some of my players and i cant seem to figure it out and it so far has bisecthosting tech support stumped. If you have any ideas im gonna leave a message of the error below. thank you

@@gamerpotion So we figured it out. we are using the fabric version but we added a grave stones mod that was creating that error, we went through mods 1 by 1 till we found out which one it was bugging our server. sorry to bother you i just wasnt sure if it was your mod or not.
Ah ok, good to know. Also if you are using the latest version of the fabric pack, then you may not even need gravestone mod as the pack contains keep-inventory mod and players dont lose items on death. hope you will enjoy the pack :)
