because when people do that, they get tired and blow out their cords. all singers can't give it their all ALL the time and especially if they have to sing through a 10+ song set. if a sprinter has to run 10 laps around the track, they're not gonna have the same time for each lap. their times will gradually get slower because they steadily get more and more tired. but, you do have those singers who don't have to give 100% and yet they still sound great
