- In this video im going to FIX a BLACK SCREEN on ACER NITRO 5. Today Ive experienced this error and panic.
But Ive searched for solution and hope it works on your laptop too.
Heres the step:
1st TURN ON YOUR LAPTOP
(then the power light will turn ON’ but no image)
2nd HOLD POWER BUTTON FOR 20SECONDS
(Your laptop will TURN OFF. Keep pressing it)
3rd POWER ON again your ACER NITRO 5
(Then it will back to normal and have image again)
Hope it works also on your laptop

@sandy__katara I promise you it doesn't lol. If it worked for you then you didn't even have an issue to begin with, just a hiccup. An ISSUE actually needs to be fixed, like my screen. It's already off, I cannot simply turn it back on again.

It doesn't work for me the rebooting part work and I can hear windows 11 start up but my screen still doesn't turn on it stays like that but my Bluetooth keyboard connects and usb cable connects too to my Android phone. I wonder what could be the problem, It's so frustrating. Before that my screen suddenly turned black while watching on Tubi tv😢 and my warranty just ended 3 days ago what a lucky person I am😅

Maybe the connection of your lcd is not plugged all the way in.

This actually worked. I was pissed off bc I tried everything I can to make it work. After all this time, I just had to hold down the power button. If I didn't find this video sooner, I probably would've assumed my laptop was broken. Thank you sm for this

Yes, open the back of your laptop, remove the CMOS battery and the laptop battery. This is the correct way of doing this. However, quite dangerous. Remove the battery first and then the CMOS battery. If you can, use a rubber glove. It is a quite rare problem, but release of static energy is a problem in some rare cases.

it's a recurring problem, I've experience it twice tonight and once last night. I'm being paranoid. I also replaced its LCD a few days prior because of flickering lights but not this issue. This issue just happened after the tech replaced the LCD. What shall I do?
Bought the AN515-55 back in November, no issues until today where I turned it on to do some music work (3 albums worth of finished music, and countless demos already on the device) and got this black screen about 3 minutes into the session, never panicked so much over a piece of equipment - this video saved my day! So thankyou! I tried the method before seeing this video, but didn't hold it for 20 seconds until I saw this, as soon as that green Acer came up, the sigh of relief was deep! Cheers!

My acer nitro 5 screen is complete broken so I was using a hdmi to my tv and now when I plug in the hdmi nothing shows up the laptop turns on but it displays nothing to the tv

Hey tried force shutdown , still not fixed , this happened immediately when I was closing lid of my laptop, I put it on sleep then I was going to close lid then laptop woke up before the lid was closing at 30 degree angle and then boom black screen

Hey guys I found another method!
DISCONNECT ANY USB DEVICE AND UNPLUG CHARGER!!! INCLUDING MOUSE KEYBOARD COOLER AND OTHERS
1) Turn your laptop
2) When you hear the windows 11 welcome sound turn off laptop by holding power button then release power button
3) Close the laptop lid and wait 10 seconds
4) Open laptop lid
5) Hold power button for 30 seconds with everything plugged OFF including charger, mouse,keyboard,cooler!
6) Leave it sit for 1 minute
7) Turn on your laptop and enjoy!
8) Repeat this process until you see diagnosing your PC or the Acer Logo!
Just tried this on my HP after watching countless videos on how to fix it from their own channel, and this worked after nothing else

I turn it on but when the screen doesnt display anything i hold the power button for 20-30 seconds but the laptop just turns off

All holding the power button for 20 seconds does is completely cut power. So basically turn your laptop off then back on again........

How this was figured out here. Customer took machine apart as fan stopped working due to dust and hair in ports. She got worried and put it back together then brought it to me to change the fans. When I took it apart I noticed the black wire on the wireless card was unplugged. I plugged it up after replacing the fans, booted the system to determine the fans worked and shut it back down without booting up to video. Sent it home and there was no video post. I racked my brain trying to figure it out with these videos on the phone. She swore she didn't unplug the wireless card. She finally tested it by unplugging the black cable and it worked. Still not sure why a wireless cable has anything to do with video, just hoping this helps someone else with this problem.

This is a one time solution, right? I have updated my drivers as well but still dark screen appear everytime I've plugged in the power before starting the laptop
Turn off your laptop completely.
Disconnect any USB device
Disconnect charger
Press and hold power button while laptop is off for 30 seconds
Turn on laptop and wait to see if Acer Logo appears.
Repeat until Acer Logo appears
Enter safe mode with networking and download DDU. Then uninstall GPU drivers and reinstall them back, it's a driver conflict.
It didn’t work.

Had the same problem. The reason was the short circuit on the RAM modules. The RAM bar needed to changed

If it turns on but is still black, your have to get a tv or monitor and get a hdmi cord and hook it up to the tv/ monitor and then your be able to see your screen on the tv
