I let four years go by. And like you, decided to get back to doing full hour and a half. The first 20 days back where very painful. You never forget the postures. But getting to do them where you left off is hard work. But worth it.

the intelligence of his series is indisputable. a series based on healing the body. interesting that his answer re heat has everything to do with what students have been taught to want. in early days, heat was max 90 or so. it was nice and warm, but we weren't dripping, had no water in the room except a dixie cup at break. i wish it were true that one can only be trained if one's practiced for a long time and has been recommended by teacher. he taught me so much. changed my life. wonderful what he said about teachers are allowed not to be thin and gorgeous. wonderful.

to Amira Luna. He's absolutely right about what teachers ought to look like. Listen to the humble generous kind respect he has for teachers who've lived their lives. Yoga brings health and that takes various forms. Yoga is not to look good, not for fitness on the outside, it's all inside.

Bikram is an evil man. I happen to have met him in 1971 when I was 17 on Oahu in the Koko Head neighborhood. I went to a gathering at some well-to-do person's house, and we all sat outside by the pool. I was sitting five feet in front of him, and he did the most amazing exercises. He could suck up his guts into his rib cage so tightly that you could see his spine from the front. He could make his stomach muscles roll either left or right. It made a real impression on me, though I wasn't into dedicating myself to yoga at that time. It was just tonight, while watching the "Bikram" film on Netflix, that I realized it was the man I'd met back then, 49 years ago (I'm 66). I was a young hippie musician who was a bit connected while living in Hawaii. I was from the Midwest, but my older brother had settled in Waikiki after his two-year stint in Nam, and I'd gone out to hang with him. I've told the story of meeting a real Indian yogi in Hawaii countless times over the decades, and I am totally freaked out at this movie that has just been released on Netflix.

Boss this is why we love you and will continue to love you! Those who know him closely know what a sweet modest and genuine person he is like in the beginning when the interviewer said "I looked around and see this beautiful face full of light. People who understand astrotheology and esoteric wisdom know what this means.
Bikram knows all that is going around --an orchestrated campaign to destroy his yoga by destroying him and he is still so real and full of joy and excitement.
Most commentators below full of hate and desperation and never experiencing either Bikram or Bikram Yoga, seems to be living their life from their base chakara, they know nothing about ascension and raising your 'christos' , sacred wax through ones spine and raising it to pineal gland where illumination happens. We are coming from the ethereal realms , hexed on this earth to sort out our issues in the skies and we have to return to ethereal realms. But to get there we have to go through water then air then water and then fire before we reach ether.
They cringe when He says "to go to heaven you have to go through hell!" because their world crumbles. Their world is made by CocaCola, McDonalds, R J Reynolds and J P Mogan Chase who actually know the secret of ascension through meditation and breathing that which what Bikram Yoga teaches and hence the effort by them and the establishment to destroy him since if everyone starts and stays practicing Bikram Yoga, nobody would ever go to McDonald..
Yoga is a booming industry and corporate yoga has to has it cut even by by hook or crooks and hence all the orchestrated media, legal and social campaigns against Birkam to find room for themselves in the world where only Bikram works.
Great job of putting this video out. Thank You.

Yoga and money do not go hand in hand. Yoga is spirituality not simple gym in a steamed room. First of all there's no consciousness in what this guy does.
Do you spend a minute to realize the state of spirit that comes after an asana when you finish it? No. Is your mind focus on something while you are doing an asana? No. It wonders with no direction. Do you become aware of the flux of energy flowing thru your body? No. Do you understand and know what your spirit is and how does manifests itself? No. Are you trying to know and develop yourself, to know God? No. Are you developing an emotional intelligence, detachment, pure love, compassion? No. Do you involve studying, devotion, meditation, focus, perseverance, renunciation? No. Have you discover yourself yet? But God? ...
Are you practicing simple gym postures? Yes.
So you should not call it Yoga. Please be kind and call your urge for sex, money and women Bikram Gym. As it is. A yogi does no swear, take drugs and assault students.
Go in India and try to foolish them with this circus. Of course you wont do it.

The core purpose of my interviews are to highlight the positive in a person's life achievements, particularly people that have helped to enlighten & heal others on a massive scale as did Bikram. I call them Super Heroes.
They have diligently worked through their practice and persevered through the years to bring you the best and the most effective of their art.
More importantly is to share a knowledge with the viewer of what he/she may be missing in their lives that could possibly be their life healing remedy.
I am not interested in negative media, there are many out there that do that, and more than enough of it.
At the end of the day all I can say is that none of us were there to witness the rumours or charges against him therefore we cannot lend an opinion and none of us are faultless therefore none of us can judge. And more importantly it takes two to Tango. Aloha & Salam to All~* Peace Be On Earth *~

While it is interesting to hear the story of the mid 20th
century close connection between yoga and traditional healing (which makes good
sense), it is sad to see what has become of the Yoga tradition as it meets the
business opportunities provided by an eager and not-so-well-informed audience.
This is very far from Patañjali, or any other classical yoga
system (including the Buddhist). It is also the complete opposite of any
traditional approach to either ethical training, discipline, or meditation.
Sanskrit texts are written with a touch of courtly refinement, wit, and with
precise argumentative steps. Vikram speaks coarsely, lacks sense of humor, and
does not seem very cogent in his ‘arguments’.
He sells Vedānta? I am sure someone sees the paradox in that
    statement.
‘I sell India to Western world’ is perfectly honest in its
complete dishonesty, and perhaps a good example of his co(s)mic consciousness.
Apart from the disappointment in seeing a handful of shallow
and inaccurate generalizations sold as Indian philosophy, as a Sanskritist I
cannot but feel slightly amused by this odd re-use of Indian thought by such a
clever businessman. If his interest is short term benefit in this life alone,
he has certainly pursued such goal with great efficiency. I agree that Vikram’s
students should consider him a comic mirror of their own proclivities; however,
nowadays it is not so difficult to obtain basic information about the Yoga
traditions, and it is hard to understand how anyone may still take Mr Vikram
    seriously.
    vikramāya mahājñāya namāmi kramasiddhaye |
I bow to Vikrama, who has great knowledge, so that I may
    perfect the method.
    Or:
I bow to this greatly ignorant one, who has no proper way
(vi-krama), so that he may find some proper way.
