If I recall, it's based on the ladder point difference of the two competing bots. For example, in the rare event One takes down Eris, One gets like 7 or 8 points while Eris would only win 1 or 2 points because Eris has gathered so many ladder points from wins. Hope this helps.
Bot only ladder, competing against other bots. As far as I know, these bots are only capable of playing on the AI edition maps, which aren't on the main ladder
