Animal kingdom is consistently my favourite of floridas park. Immaculate vibes, most original theming and attractions, great food, all around just incredible
My husband has not been to Disney since 1994 so when we go to Disney in January he will see Animal Kingdom for the first time. This is super helpful to figure out what he should see and make it special.
Our last visit to Disney was in 2013, so in a way, some rides are going to be “new to my wife and me.” we are going to start our “new” journey on January 10. I hope we are not disappointed. Have a great trip, and stay safe.
Cannot wait to get to animal kingdom and all the parks in early February!! It’s been more than a minute - we used to go a lot (then other travels kicked in ) we are so thankful to AJ and team for the DDP booklet - husband does not want to go- our daughter and I are vegetarian- we went thru the new DDP and it will be so much less $$ for us to pay out of pocket !! THANK YOU DFB team!! You rock 💚❤️🩷💜🐾🎄❄️ Anyone remember the plan in the mid 80’s - mid 90’s where you could pay for everything before you went to WDW ( concierge- food - drinks - snacks & rentals of boats etc )? It was kind of like what we now call all inclusive ??thanks anyone if you do !! I put this in the wrong place - duh - we were working on ADP today - brain tired 😂
@@maryannhelpern9682 I was in the US Coast Guard in the 80s. All military bases had/have a Moral and Welfare unit where you could find all kinds of discounts given to the military. I got a Disney booklet with a detailed list of the privileges. I went to Disneyland, and it was a bargain (I was a Petty Officer Third Class, and when I say it was a bargain, it was; my military pay was not that great. Then I transferred out to Maine in 1986, and I grabbed a copy of the Disney Club and made reservations for a five-day trip to Disney World all-inclusive at the Contemporary Resor; when I said all-inclusive, it was everything, three complete meals (table seating) snacks and nonalcohol drinks. I don't remember how much it cost me, but it was a bargain. We traveled from Presque Isle Maine to Disney (wife and two young kids, picked up my mother in Jacksonville). Now, I will return to Disney in January after a sabbatical from them that lasted ten years. My eight days and 7nights for two in a moderate resort, with just a table seating and a fast food meal, cost me $5600 after applying every discount I could find. Do I miss the Disney Club? Absolutely. Stay safe 🙏
@@dais_e_@Daisyerod I am very sorry for my late reply, but besides coming from my trip to Disney, my wife and I brought COVID with us, and now I feel better to give you a short reply. The weather was brutal in the sense that it fluctuated from the high 30s to the mid-80s. It might be fine for people who are used to low temperatures; we are not used to extreme low temperatures. Besides the temperature, it rained most of the time we were there, and for the first time since 1975, we bought rain ponchos. Crowds, well, I made a huge mistake planning this trip, I missed the MLK holiday, and I have to say that the lines were brutal. There are lots of kids on vacation, and from Brazil, buses are loads. I had to buy the Genie Plus (the multipass) three times and shoot from the hip. It was worth it for my wife and me; we would not stand in line for more than an hour at a time. Last but not least, my wife is a graphic artist, and she had such great hopes for the Festival of the Arts that she was disappointed. The food was good, not great, but the art did not wow us. A few paintings were great, but the prices, well, Disney prices. I am 63 years old, and I don't like changes; I must say that we missed the 2013 Walt Disney World. BTW, I missed the EPCOT Giant Fountain that was replaced by a "flower garden." My God, Disney, where did you put the more than half a billion dollars refurbished???? In Bob Iger's pocket???? The French Quarter resort experience A+, Restaurant meals A, overall cleanness in the parks C+, parks maintenance B. Did we have a good time??? Yes, we did. I hope that your trip is better than ours, Daisy, enjoy.
Up Close with Rhinos - under $50 and you get to pet a rhino. Tougher to snag than Cindy's Royal Table - only 14 places each day. If you find Everest too scary - ask to sit in front for a less scary ride (and in the back for the most thrills).
I wouldn't miss the Gorilla Falls exploration trail. The family troop has two babies born in the last few years, and there is also a second bachelor troop that a lot of people miss. Two of the rambunctious youngsters reached maturity recently and transferred to the bachelor troop, so I want to see if they're still just as silly now that they're with the grown-up gorillas. Also, before heading into the Dino Institute to ride Dinosaur, be sure to check out the replica of Sue, the most complete T-Rex skeleton ever found. The original is in Chicago's Field Museum, but Disney donated to excavation costs and received a replica as a thank-you.
I miss Disney World Animal Kingdom so much! I haven't been there since 2011 and I would like to work for them as a Zookeeper because it is beautiful there. I could also enjoy and spend time at the Swimming pool, Roller Coasters and watching the parade. I additionally want to move to Orlando or Kissimmee Florida because I've been dreaming about this since I was a kid and I'm looking forward to it for the future!
Animal Kingdom is probably my favorite park. Its just more relaxed and my plan for my April trip is to do it my first day in park so relax into the trip and my last park day to wind down from my trip. I also just really want to do the Wild Africa Trex on my Birthday.
Hi AJ, just spent 5 days at the parks and then took a 4 day cruise on the Disney Wish. Thank you so much for all your DFB videos, they really helped us make the most of everything. Appreciate you and your team so so much. Keep up the excellent work! ❤
Same here. I haven’t been to Disney World for 3 years and with Flight of Passage being my favorite ride throughout all the parks but with it being one of the top attractions in the park, I need to know what me and my family can do just in case of it being too long.
28:37 the Merry Menagerie is one of my favorite Disney holiday experiences. Just beautiful! I think the winter is actually the best to visit this park. Anecdotally, I’ve noticed that any time I’ve been there in the winter that the animals are often so much more active then
This is on the food side of thing. What dishes and snack recommendations do you have for the plant based eaters? Can you do a video for these people? Please and thank you.
Rope dropping Flight of Passage really was a bad idea when we went, we joined the line in front of the tree of life and we could not believe that that was really the line! It extended all the way towards Africa behind Festival of the Lion King and then back towards Pandora 😮
Animal Kingdom is the best park and you cannot change my mind! It's a skip for so many people but it's truly such a hidden gem. Expedition Everest is the best! Lion King Show is beautiful! It's Tough to be a Bug is so nostalgic for me as someone who grew up going to Disneyland. My favorite WDW park and I can't recommend it more!
Dinosaur has a nearly identical track layout with the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland. Converting it over would be one of the most cost-effective changes they could make.
We were at AK last June. Rope dropped and got on Flight of Passage, then used our genie plus to get on again. That was all by 10am, from that point on until closing time the wait time was 3hrs long. Just heads up
“If you rope drop and early access, still there will be 1 hour to way to ride Flight of Passage” who is this people in front of you??? Did they teleport into the Park??😂
Dear DBF staff noticed 25 min into your viedo what looks to be a ice cream cookie with a Lion pic onto of the cookie. Where can you get this. Over the last 2 year AK has not been selling the ice cream cookie and we so miss it. Going again in Feb 2024 and would Love to have one of our fav desserts. Thank you.
Question: My friends and I are going to AK on a Tuesday in February. We plan to stay out late Monday night at EPCOTs Extended Evening Hours, so we won't be getting to AK til 11 am - 12 pm. Would it be worth it for us to snag Genie+/ILL since we'll be arriving later in the day? I'm on the fence and haven't found good advice. Thanks!
I would get it. Start stacking LLs at 7am. You can get You'll have 3 or 4 LLs by the time you get there. EarScouts has a really good video for sleeping in at AK.

The safari
Flight of passage
The yeti rollercoaster
The raft ride

Considering we're using the last of our four day Florida resident passes here in two weeks, this couldn't be better timed.
Festival of the Lion King is amazing
Hey with current Disney prices, I'm going to spend as long as possible there!
I love this park so much
So glad I found this. I didn't know about the animal trails in Asia and Discovery Island!
Just checked into Kidani Village… will be there soon
My husbands favorite park ❤
I would be so happy to see tough to be a bug replaced, I HATED that show as a teen and wouldn't do it as an adult. Skeeved me out so bad.
Perfect timing I’ll be there tomorrow.
This place is amazing 🐊🌳👍
Many years ago there was a restaurant IN THE PARKING LOT! IIRC it was a chain restaurant, and maybe a duplicate of one that WAS inside the park.
Lol, the edits sound like they are coming from the throne room!
Divine basically is Te Fiti but small
I hope I get to go back before dinoland shuts down. We’re going to plan for January 2025
U can park hop at any time now
That’s me on the train 😂
Is Animal Kingdom worth it? I think it offers the least comparing to the other three parks in terms of attractions, variety of food options and rides
Can you buy a one day resort pass, if you are staying at another hotel?

There is no way we can scan that code if we’re watching your videos on the same phone.

Hello
Where can I see when Kevin is out there?
I don't understand how Indiana Jones or Encanto are appropriate for ANIMAL kingdom.....
How about both appropriate for Disney animal kingdom.
We're going on February, is there any finale show before the park closes at night? Like fireworks or parade??
I went last December and left before the park closed, but there's only a show that lights up the Tree of Life. No fireworks or parade unfortunately.
How do you get from ak to disney’s Boardwalk?? Thank you
Disney bus, or ride share.
