  • Jam #3 with the usual setup, with the iPad Animoog recently added to it. This one admittedly sounds a lot like the first one I did. I kept gravitating towards many of the same chord progressions that were present in my first jam, but I added in some different sounds and arp patterns to mix things up a bit. I also found that adding in 1-4(sus2)-5(alt2) on some occasions seemed to tie all the progressions together in a somewhat ethereal way with the particular arp pattern I had going on.
    Behringer Model D on Drone, Moog Sirin on Motif 2. iPad Animoog on Motif 2 with iPad Synth One on Pad.

    Love it. After having recently received my NDLR I can honestly say they are such an inspiring piece of kit.
    Nice use of the strum feature!
    I’m seriously tempted with one of those Model D’s. For their price, why not!

      The Model D has really surprised me. It produces some great bass and pads. It really comes alive when you feed it a hint of reverb. I agree that for the price, it really is a 'why not' kind of purchase!

    Just lookin' at those pocket operators there. It looks like 1 has a midi converter attached? That's neat.

    Another wonderful song. Have you ever done chord sequencing with the Arturia?

    • @chrislandon4629
      @chrislandon4629  4 года назад

      Nope, not yet, but I need to really take a deeper dive with it. I just got the keystop recently so I haven't learned all the features yet. I've seen the sequencing and chord abilities of the Keystep though.

      The NDLR has a built in chord sequencer now, but its easy to sequence chords on NDLR from KeyStep or other sequencer, like Beatstep or Korg SQ-1.

    Just a little question regarding the connection. How do you make your Midi setup? NDLR midi out to a Midi Splitter and from there to the instruments and the iPad?

    • @chrislandon4629
      @chrislandon4629  3 года назад +1

      Yep, exactly. I use a MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru box for that. NDLR > MIDI box > instruments. I use the iRig MIDI 2 to get MIDI into my iPad.

    Hello, great piece and I’m thinking of getting the NDLR. How are you connecting it to the iPad? I’m thinking something like the IK multimedia iRig Midi 2 maybe, is that what you use, or something similar...

      Hi David. The iRig MIDI 2 is exactly what I use.

      You can also plug NDLR directly into an iPad with a camera connection kit. There are some that have a pass thru lightning connector so you can power the iPad while it powers The NDLR.

      @@ConductiveLabs Hello. Interesting... to which NDLR port do you then connect it to? thanks

    • @DarrylMcGee
      @DarrylMcGee 2 года назад

      @@daviddechamps8840 The iPad camera kit is a lighting to USB socket. So you will connect to The NDLR's USB client port with a USB A to B cable, which comes with The NDLR. Most iPads can power the NDLR, but its better to have the 3rd party dongle with a lighting pass-thru for powering the iPad while The NDLR is connected.
