I know this a while back but would’ve been awesome to be given the choice to play as the Helgast instead of the IMC killing Rico and the generic really just fighting as a soldier doesn’t matter if he does protagonist.
If Guerrilla Games is going to do a Killzone reboot they should bring Radec back and put him in almost every game he can be in and let him be voiced by Sean Pertwee again
And give him more character development. Because we don't know how he know Templar or heck any of the ISA!? And also how he became part of Helghast to destroy ISA? Like seriously, Killzone has problems with character developments.

Radec didn't kill himself so the ISA wouldn't finish him off. Radec executed himself because he believed he failed his duty to Visari and Helghan when he fell in combat against ISA soldiers. He was a no nonsense man who didn't take any sort of insubordination or failure by any means, and that included himself.
I think this makes Radec one of the best anatgonists in fiction. He is not the kind of harsh "rules for thee but not for me" jackass. That he extends his own expectations to himself makes him stand out.

It's a customary thing for the Helghast elite to do. They look down upon their enemies so they deny the enemy the kill. It's not about bravery, no cowardice. It's just how they choose to do it.
He denied the ISA his live capture, and by extension, whatever knowledge they would have attempted to interrogate from him. He removed himself as a potential liability upon becoming incapacitated.
