Me too! Just watching your McFamily posting today (Good Friday April 10th) and was desperate to comment. I feel like crying that anyone EVER accuses you of favouring one daughter over another. TOTAL RUBBISH (that’s the polite way of saying it). You guys are totally brilliant (not perfect thank goodness) but such wonderful, loving parents. Your girls are obviously so loved and all I can say is ignore such ignorance and embrace the love sincerely sent your way 💗. Please keep your updates coming as they are so appreciated = LOVED (Three)

I m playing catch up and just watched the video where the girls made dinner. OMG brought back memories! Miss those days. Then I watched the Easter egg hunt and laughed watching those two! So gosh darn cute to watch!

Could y’all give me advice? Our 16 year old son just came out this past weekend and we were not expecting it, but we assured him that all we want, is him to be happy and healthy and we are totally fine with it. We are Christians and I think it’s sad that some Christians don’t accept gay people! I want to protect him from people who might be mean. Is there anything we as parents can do, to support him better? I would love to help him connect with other gay Christians so he could find a Christian boyfriend. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
Hey Lynn! Massive props to your son for knowing himself and living his true self at such a young age! I think as parents we can build our kids up as much as possible so that no outside voices can break them. What I mean by that is... there’s going to be stupid, mean people out there that will be rude and try to tear our kids down and we can’t make them all go away. But what we can do is help build up their self confidence and self love so that whenever they are faced with those stupid, mean people, they will be more or less indestructible. As long as he’s living his life and focused on his happiness, those that are uncomfortable about him... that’s on them and not your son. As far as finding him a Christian boyfriend, I would say that we as young gay men grow so much in our self identity at that age that I would just let that happen naturally.
