That’s more on the choreographers than anything, but I definitely agree with you. GFriend work with amazing choreographers that help accentuate the members’ skills and the music. The members themselves are incredibly competent and skilled dancers that are able to make the choreos shine.
I'd disgaree with LOONA's footwork. Have you seen the choreos of So What and Why Not? Those are intense. Butterfly is also difficult, but it is a whole other level. But IZ*ONE does seem to focus on complexity of hand gestures and making things aesthetic and drawings. Gfriend's are definitely complex. Their formation changes are hard, and for six members, they have really impressive and widespread formations! And the footwork is done along with hand gestures, so it's much more difficult. I'd also like to add Dreamcatcher. Their choreos are badass and beautiful and amazing. In my opinion, these four girl groups are the Queens of Choreos and Synchronisation :D
yuju actually has the skills to be a lead dancer, but she is slow in learning cheographies, so shes not. but if u see how she dances, she is rlly good!

I'm not a professional dancer but here are my favourite things a kpop group dance should have: 1) New and unique dance moves...paying attention to small details as well 2) Make full use of the stage area...moving around in all corners 3) Captivating resting moments...Gfriend haven't use slow motions right? Hope they can try use it next time 4) Artistic formations of the choreography distributions 5) Eyes illusions of the formations 6) Eyes illusions of the dance moves 7) Fast pace + slow pace = Intense jolted move 8) Frequent transitions from formation to formation 9) Artistic transitions from one formation to another formation 10) Captivating opening and closing formations 11) Energy level of the dancers wrt the song pace 12) In sync and good team work So far, distinct moves that I love in Gfriend are their footworks and twirls/ spinning movements. I don't mind seeing this a lot in their choreography. They should explore more new dance moves, transition moves, transition formations, well distributed formations, eyes illusion moves and transition formations. I hope this makes sense 😅
Miz zu they should sing with dancing( they should have some time to relax ) song have lyrics, choreo should express the feeling of lyrics. they should change formation continuously to shine each of them. ( line distribution ) and choreo must be unique and attractive and charming and entertaining and .... I think it is very difficult to achive all that objectives. sorry for bad eng.

Gfriend is one of the few groups to do all this in every major release! I especially loved MGT with its jumpover and windmill! What great moves they were! I'm so proud and happy to be a Buddy! :)

For me, GFRIEND is the best group that has synchronization. *The group that has the BEST footwork and angle,* (people ignore those small details) they don't lack both dance and vocal.
We're already know 7 years ago girl 🤧 the first day i with them, support them, i know gfriend has something that others group dont have and now they already disbanded and buddy need to accept that fact 😢
The dance moves seems difficult because it was created by BTS’s choreographer. In my opinion, I wouldn't want them to do harder choreography like this coz I saw few of the member get injured during the Love Whisper performance.

This is definitely their hardest choreo, and literally none of them are bad or mediocre dancers. They're all so incredibly talented in so many ways, especially with how much they absolutely slay with dancing.
Really random observation since I’ve always been obsessed with the spin in the chorus and I always wanted to know how they do it. Everyone does it the same except for sinb. When they turn, they rotate their feet once so that they’re now facing backwards, rotate again so they’re diagonal, and then they jump and stomp their feet so that they’re straight again. Sinb does it differently, she manages to rotate 270 degrees the first time and then she immediately rotates back to the initial position on the second time. The other members only rotate their feet 180 degrees the first time. Idk why it’s just so interesting to me. As expected from our main dancer
One thing that I like in GFriend's dance practice videos is that they smile and have facial expressions while doing it. Many other groups just focus on the dance, not having many expressions during the dance. Not that it's wrong of course, but I prefer and respect GFriend more, because it shows that they take every dance perfomance as a real stage

Kesinth Arul I didn’t say that you don’t have the right to tell your opinion but EACH time someone compliment gfriend and say that they’re the best in terms of choreo someone brings DC but I don’t see this kind of comments for gfriend in Dreamcatcher’s videos so that annoys me how insomnias always bring dreamcatcher like « hello your favs are not the only one that are good! » Besides I love the two groups but you can’t compare their choreo this is two different types some would say that love whisper or MGT are harder than You and I or Good Night and others would say the contrary for me they’re at the same level that’s all :)

I'm not a professional dancer but here are my favourite things a kpop group dance should have:
1) New and unique dance moves...paying attention to small details as well
2) Make full use of the stage area...moving around in all corners
3) Captivating resting moments...Gfriend haven't use slow motions right? Hope they can try use it next time
4) Artistic formations of the choreography distributions
5) Eyes illusions of the formations
6) Eyes illusions of the dance moves
7) Fast pace + slow pace = Intense jolted move
8) Frequent transitions from formation to formation
9) Artistic transitions from one formation to another formation
10) Captivating opening and closing formations
11) Energy level of the dancers wrt the song pace
12) In sync and good team work
So far, distinct moves that I love in Gfriend are their footworks and twirls/ spinning movements. I don't mind seeing this a lot in their choreography. They should explore more new dance moves, transition moves, transition formations, well distributed formations, eyes illusion moves and transition formations. I hope this makes sense 😅

Gfriend is one of the few groups to do all this in every major release! I especially loved MGT with its jumpover and windmill! What great moves they were! I'm so proud and happy to be a Buddy! :)

For me, GFRIEND is the best group that has synchronization. *The group that has the BEST footwork and angle,* (people ignore those small details) they don't lack both dance and vocal.

The dance moves seems difficult because it was created by BTS’s choreographer. In my opinion, I wouldn't want them to do harder choreography like this coz I saw few of the member get injured during the Love Whisper performance.
Yeah, and this is the only choreography created by him so you can't really say that all their choreography is different in general.

This is definitely their hardest choreo, and literally none of them are bad or mediocre dancers. They're all so incredibly talented in so many ways, especially with how much they absolutely slay with dancing.
Really random observation since I’ve always been obsessed with the spin in the chorus and I always wanted to know how they do it. Everyone does it the same except for sinb. When they turn, they rotate their feet once so that they’re now facing backwards, rotate again so they’re diagonal, and then they jump and stomp their feet so that they’re straight again. Sinb does it differently, she manages to rotate 270 degrees the first time and then she immediately rotates back to the initial position on the second time. The other members only rotate their feet 180 degrees the first time. Idk why it’s just so interesting to me. As expected from our main dancer

One thing that I like in GFriend's dance practice videos is that they smile and have facial expressions while doing it. Many other groups just focus on the dance, not having many expressions during the dance. Not that it's wrong of course, but I prefer and respect GFriend more, because it shows that they take every dance perfomance as a real stage
