No better ambassador for the shooting sports than you Dave, in my estimation. What a fantastic series of venues with progressively harder birds (but not your usual sky-scrapers!) and that group was fortunate to have you along with them. You put your stamp on it with that bird at the 4:50 mark and your insightful comments at the end of the video were truly appreciated. Thanks for this one and best regards as always.
So weird seeing my home from your video, the view from the top of goatfell is by far the greatest view. One of the drives on my local estate has one of the greatest views and has that old traditional feel while producing monsters flying at you
What an amazing video!! I can’t explain just how proud it makes me feel to see our sport represented such a way. I think this film really captures the spirit of what Andrew and his team are offering at the Turnberry. It takes a huge amount of professionalism, experience and passion to bring all those elements together and provide incredible hospitality and shooting like that ... Absolutely Fan-bloody-tastic! Well done indeed 👍😉👍
The collaboration between American and Scottish families to preserve rich cultural heritage overwhelms me with pride. I am from south Louisiana with ancestry from Cornwall, and I am a waterfowl hunter with dreams of a pheasant shoot one day in the UK. Thank you for this, Mr. Carrie.
This is a new bucket list item for me. I’ve been wingshooting all my life and now have a new goal ~Golf and bird hunting in the mother land. I pray I live long enough to see it through. Blessings y’all!
Good evening, a high-flying video with superb images, sublime scenery and a very high level shooter. One of the most beautiful video of your channel Mr. Carrie, thank you for this sharing, thank you for making me dream. Thank you
Top job yet again Dave to all of you. My health is on the up I'm nearly upto a walk around my spinney with the. 410 over and under. @@DaveCarrieShooting Many thanks Dave much appreciated. I have to say your looking very well my friend. Long may this continue as we need more stalwarts for our shooting sports. Take care all the best to the Carrie crew regards. Tony
What an amazing video Dave. Thank you! In this video you have taken us to one of the most picturesque locations which i personal can only dream of seeing and Shooting. Your passion for our beloved sport really stands out. I hope we all support you through our comments and likes, encouraging you to make more videos for us to enjoy. All the best and enjoy the new season.
Your comment made me laugh out loud to compare one of my recent videos where I shoot birds in the equivalent of a farm junkyard to the shores of Scotland. One of these days I’ll shoot both, Lord willing. We harvest many birds, but not near the beauty. Cheers from Alabama y’all!
Well done, another great film, well shot, and a great message. As a British Canadian living in the UK, and enjoying shooting people in North American just do not know what they are missing!
Great film from the Highlands with the phantastic game and experiences it as and what a wonderful hotel also you stayed at, its on list to visit one time for sure.
Fantastic film Dave, shot with Andrew many years ago, great host. And good to see Barry Smyth loading and coaching, he's one of the best in the country. Regards Dave and Brogan.

Really enjoy your videos, especially this episode where only 1 guy shooting with a sbs type of gun I shoot with a lot when rough shooting+water fowl on the big loughs.couldnt afford the estate driven shooting would love to in my lifetime over here in rep of ireland maybe if I win the lotto. Keep up the good shooting with the videos coming.
I'd encourage any over sea's viewers watching to come and experience the shooting here in the U.K, truly magnificent and a lot of variety! Can be done at a very reasonable cost
Reasonable cost to one person is not always the same to another. An average driven game day in the UK already costs +/- £1000 for a 200 bird day, which is plenty if paid for out of earned income by an average person. Not being socialist in the slightest, but!!!!! Interesting to read the comment by Whippet below that the cost was £9000. I realise the Trump Hotel will have made up a significant part of that, but well run Estates can provide good days at +/- £1000, and the market enabling rich overseas visitors to pay £9000 will only inflate the expectations of Estates to be able to charge inflated prices to UK shooters.
@@DaveCarrieShooting But you don't pay for any of these shoots that you film, do you Dave? I imagine the deal is that they either let you shoot for free, or pay you so that they can get more exposure. Is this correct?

Loved the way the hotel general manager referred to it as “Turnberry” and didn’t use the “T****” prefix. Millionaire owners come and go and US Presidents come and go but classy, classic hotels usually endure no matter how brash, trashy (or worse!) their transient owners!
Quite right, Dave, the UK and Scotland in particular is indeed God's own country. Dumfries and Galloway is so under-rated and used to be wonderful for grouse, among everything else back in the day, before the huge monocultures of commission sitka spruce were planted.
At the risk of attracting criticism, do you not think that encouraging too many very wealthy overseas shooters to buy game shooting in the UK will increasingly price the cost of driven shooting out of the reach of those on more normal levels of income/wealth in the UK? There are plenty of UK based people who would like to experience game shooting, who simply cannot afford it.
Shooting can never be a cheap sport, the man hours and investment in birds, pens, feed, beaters, hospitality etc comes at a cost. May as well bring as much money from overseas into the local community as we can and make as many people dependant on shooting sports as we can to give the best chance of preserving our sport
