@psvrcade I'm going to buy a PSVR2 soon and for me it's costing a lot of money and I can probably get only 2 or 3 games maximum. Honest reviews like this really help me to choose wisely🤍 whenever you have the time, I'll be glad to hear your personal opinion on getting psvr2 and what games you think is the best to try. I only had the chance to try it somewhere at a game shop, in which I took a look at the main menu of the resident evil village in VR. I liked it, but the texts that were in black were like glowing white. (I didn't have the time to adjust the brightness or eye tracking or appropriately adjusting the headset on my head )

Psvr2 is my first experience in vr. And I love survival games. And I have been waiting for a proper survival vr game. I like this game. I don't love it, but it definitely needs a little cleanup on the janky controls

I believe this game has the potential to be incredible…but like you said the janky controls do stick out! Have you ever played ‘Song in the Smoke’? If not, I highly recommend you get it (excellent Survival game…one of my favourites). l haven’t played the PS VR2 version yet (I’m assuming it’s better than the PSVR1 version) cause I beat it already a couple years ago. I’m definitely gonna try to continue with Green Hell, I but really hope they patch it sooner than later. ✌️😀

There’s something special about ‘Song in the Smoke’…from the aesthetics, sound, control, pacing, prehistoric theme…and I only played the PS VR1 version but remember it fondly. I’ll have to check out the PS VR2 version as I haven’t got the Platinum Trophy for the original! ✌️😎
@@ampinghard111 I have never heard of ‘Into the Radius’! 😯 I’m so down for getting more survival games, that’s for sure! This reminds me when I read reviews of ‘Cosmodread’. I bought it and then was immediately disappointed with how they ported it. I’d rather one awesome solid polished game, than many ‘ok Quest’ ports. Pavlov is THE example of a great game!! Let’s hope the team at Creepy Jar (Green Hell) can pull themselves back up and redeem this! I’m ok to see the rest of this Quest version, but it needs a good patch to make it more fun, like turning to see my watch without cranking my wrist lol ✌️😂

Im massively dissapointed with this game. It plays like a psvr1 game and nowhere near the level of standard it should be at. Wasted opportunity to showcase the psvr2
@chillymonkeys7772 That is EXACTLY how I feel!!! Hopefully others can save their money and get a better game…like ‘Pavlov’! Once people get a taste of a game in Unreal Engine 5 (like Pavlov), they will know what they should expect from PS VR2. Even though ‘Horizon’ is UE5, it still doesn’t feel as good as Pavlov, it’s crazy!! A ‘AAA’ studio didn’t pull it off as well as Vankrupt Games, an independent studio!! Seriously, those who haven’t got Pavlov yet, just get it!! At least you will know what the bar looks like in terms of awesomeness!! ✌️😎
@@psvrcade havn't played Pavlov yet as was holding off for this month Crossfire or Firewall, Pavlov does sound good though 👍🏻. Yes when we see how good the graphics can be like GT7 or Kayak Mirage it makes it so frustrating to get games like Green Hell who must just not care at all.

I had to play this without vr as my Legs Literally kept thinking I’m in a jungle and even just 1 hour made me start going crazy any other game I can play for hours but this …… this is a game 😂

I do think it’s salvageable and I did have fun in some points, but I was pulled out of the immersion too much to fully appreciate it. The night time at the end of the video REALLY makes me want to play this out, but I want to wait at least afew days to see if they update it. I’m not giving up, but not holding my breathe either✌️😂

I know they’re different games…but just general, the controls, graphics, haptics, environment, audio…everything really stands out in Pavlov and this should really be setting the bar for what all PS VR2 users should expect from their games✌️😀

Its funny how a load of creators are slagging off the very game they all loved when it came out simply because its not making full use of the hardware ... a good game is a good game or is it just because pcvr & psvr snobs hate the quest and how dare a port that resembles the quest version run on my superior tethered hardware 😂😂😂
@carlbode666 It’s funny cause I didn’t even know there was a Quest version (I had only heard of and seen the PC version) until after I played this and then researched online why this game felt so off. After such huge success it makes sense the developers made a Quest version since the original on PC was so well received. What doesn’t make sense is that they released the Quest version on PSVR2 when it could easily handled the PC version. This does feel like it could be awesome, trust me I want it to be, but right now I need to be able to look at my watch without spraining my wrist while the audio cuts out in the middle of the jungle. It’s that weird shit that shouldn’t exist. I will still play this if they fix the bugs, even if the graphics aren’t altered. Those anomalies in my video really take you out of the immersion, which is the opposite of what VR should be. So yes…it hurts when you KNOW it should be better than it currently is. Trust me, I can’t wait to shit my pants in the middle of the dark while a jungle cat is stalking me lol ✌️😂

@gogreengameon2146 I know, right?! 😂 There is also the ‘sprint’ speed when you click the left stick, but yeah…On/Off switch for sure. Actually…even the sprint…I gotta rant for a sec and should’ve said this in the video. When you choose ‘Toggle’ for sprinting (the default is Hold), after sprinting and bringing your character to a complete stop…the speed doesn’t reset back to walking. Meaning that…you are always in ‘Sprint Mode’ until you click the left stick AGAIN. Sooo unnatural and weird when all games EVER have you default to walking speed AFTER you stop moving so you only have click the left stick when you want to sprint, not having to click it again to revert back to walking speed. I hope I’m making sense 😄 Thanks for reminding me about that when you mentioned on/off switch cause it’s even weirder than what I said earlier in the video 😂 I wish I spoke to that part in the video✌️😄
@@psvrcade Thanks for the insight man. I love VR and had PS VR1 and had a load of games. It's so disappointing all these miss-hits of late. I also find the reprojection used in many games nauseating. Wish more games had performance options to select higher native refresh rates.
Compare it to call the mountain It's not fair This half of the price and If you want beautiful graphics it's too late for green hill two v r 60 vs 30 or 26 dollars if Playstation It's awesome because it's different and you can make stuff They some make They should make Son of the forest vr but they have come out ps5 but it might be a wait you should play so you could get a better out look
@cory2016 I totally want ‘Son of the Forest’ on PS VR2!! I’d play it in a heartbeat 😃 !! I think Pavlov truly (and surprisingly) spoiled me cause that game is only $32 and I feel it is waaaay better than both Call of the Mountain & Green Hell. It uses Unreal Engine 5 like Call of the Mountain, but it plays like an extension of your body (please check out my other video ‘Pavlov PSVR2: Roomscale VR is insanely epic’ so I can show you its awesomeness). If you haven’t bought it already, I highly recommend you get it while it’s on sale (in Canada at least). I think I might’ve compared it to Call of the Mountain cause of the jungle theme. Green Hell actually appeals more to me as a survival game…just currently not in this state lol ✌️😂

If you haven’t played it already, ‘Song in the Smoke’ is an excellent PS VR title (I haven’t even played the PS VR2 version yet). That game felt completely polished and had its own prehistoric survival feel that is quite awesome!!! I really do hope they fix Green Hell for VR cause I am really into itchin’ to get back in the jungle!! ✌️😄

A survival mode in Pavlov would truly be awesome! I so want a ‘Terminator’ mode where it’s 9vs1 and the Terminator is obviously a tank, but everyone has to collect scraps and craft weak guns building up to crafting explosives. I personally prefer that everyone is on an even playing field at all times when it comes to access to every weapon, but I would totally play the shit out of it still if they went ranked! From previews on PC, I did see gameplay of Green Hell years ago and expected this to be lot better lol. 😂 I had never seen or heard of Pavlov until I saw that it was the only online FPS at the time and had no idea it would be one of my all-time favourite games!! Resident Evil 7 and 8 were so something special for me as I totally avoided the flat screen games and same with Resident Evil 4…which review scores are insane!!! Can’t wait for that one ✌️😎

@vrgamer5045 It does look awesome most of the time!! What you saw in the video looks a bit sharper than it does in VR unfortunately. The initial camp scene where I was talking about the rain was incredible!! Most realistic rain yet for me!! On a sunny day with so many trees in the foreground, I saw a lot of flickering in the sunlit leaves (but no flickering on a cloudy day which looked great!!) It’s too bad the technical issues keep pulling me out of the immersion though. I’m really hoping they fix this cause I really want to experience this game the way it was meant to be! ✌️😎

Also, I hate playing PS VR games where you are forced to have your head direct your body in game. Green Hell needs to the de-couple option so I can walk in one direction and look all around without affecting where I’m moving my avatar. I am hopeful that they will patch it soon, here’s hoping they fix the raining lasers on your end✌️😎
@malikiking3682 Lol that’s horrible if I missed this, not interesting!! 😂 I hope you’re correct because I did go through the options for a good 20 mins when I bought it, but I didn’t show that on film (was worried about engagement dropping). I actually just turned on the game right now after reading your comment cause I was excited, went through the entire menu system and could not find where I can de-couple my head from my hands so that I can turn my head while walking forward. PLEASE tell me where you saw this (step by step what menu you selected) as I was hugely disappointed that the game does not have this by default. Just to be clear, are you sure it’s there in PS VR2, or are you playing this on PC or Quest? If the option is there on PS VR2 (and you can direct me to it), I will make another video and credit you so others know about this option. Thanks so much and no problem if it was on a different system cause I’m goin crazy trying to find this essential option✌️😃
I've played Green Hell like a madman for the past two years. I absolutely love it. And I've completed the story on this version with the PSVR2 as well. While there are a number of bugs and yes, the graphics could be better, I still really like it. It would seem logical that the dev team will continue to update it as time goes on and we'll get even more fun things to do.

Its funny how a load of creators are slagging off the very game they all loved when it came out simply because its not making full use of the hardware ... a good game is a good game or is it just because pcvr & psvr snobs hate the quest and how dare a port that resembles the quest version run on my superior tethered hardware 😂😂😂
@carlbode666 It’s funny cause I didn’t even know there was a Quest version (I had only heard of and seen the PC version) until after I played this and then researched online why this game felt so off. After such huge success it makes sense the developers made a Quest version since the original on PC was so well received. What doesn’t make sense is that they released the Quest version on PSVR2 when it could easily handled the PC version. This does feel like it could be awesome, trust me I want it to be, but right now I need to be able to look at my watch without spraining my wrist while the audio cuts out in the middle of the jungle. It’s that weird shit that shouldn’t exist. I will still play this if they fix the bugs, even if the graphics aren’t altered. Those anomalies in my video really take you out of the immersion, which is the opposite of what VR should be. So yes…it hurts when you KNOW it should be better than it currently is. Trust me, I can’t wait to shit my pants in the middle of the dark while a jungle cat is stalking me lol ✌️😂

I think the art direction and aesthetics must work really well in VR. Man, I hope ALL good PC VR games make their way to PS VR2 with the proper port treatment like Pavlov demonstrated ✌️😎

Joystick movement reminds me of one of those cheap RC toy cars 😂🙈 Can't believe it's just ON/OFF.
@gogreengameon2146 I know, right?! 😂 There is also the ‘sprint’ speed when you click the left stick, but yeah…On/Off switch for sure. Actually…even the sprint…I gotta rant for a sec and should’ve said this in the video. When you choose ‘Toggle’ for sprinting (the default is Hold), after sprinting and bringing your character to a complete stop…the speed doesn’t reset back to walking. Meaning that…you are always in ‘Sprint Mode’ until you click the left stick AGAIN. Sooo unnatural and weird when all games EVER have you default to walking speed AFTER you stop moving so you only have click the left stick when you want to sprint, not having to click it again to revert back to walking speed. I hope I’m making sense 😄 Thanks for reminding me about that when you mentioned on/off switch cause it’s even weirder than what I said earlier in the video 😂 I wish I spoke to that part in the video✌️😄
@@psvrcade Thanks for the insight man. I love VR and had PS VR1 and had a load of games. It's so disappointing all these miss-hits of late. I also find the reprojection used in many games nauseating. Wish more games had performance options to select higher native refresh rates.
Compare it to call the mountain It's not fair This half of the price and If you want beautiful graphics it's too late for green hill two v r 60 vs 30 or 26 dollars if Playstation It's awesome because it's different and you can make stuff They some make They should make Son of the forest vr but they have come out ps5 but it might be a wait you should play so you could get a better out look
@cory2016 I totally want ‘Son of the Forest’ on PS VR2!! I’d play it in a heartbeat 😃 !! I think Pavlov truly (and surprisingly) spoiled me cause that game is only $32 and I feel it is waaaay better than both Call of the Mountain & Green Hell. It uses Unreal Engine 5 like Call of the Mountain, but it plays like an extension of your body (please check out my other video ‘Pavlov PSVR2: Roomscale VR is insanely epic’ so I can show you its awesomeness). If you haven’t bought it already, I highly recommend you get it while it’s on sale (in Canada at least). I think I might’ve compared it to Call of the Mountain cause of the jungle theme. Green Hell actually appeals more to me as a survival game…just currently not in this state lol ✌️😂
Saw a good couple vids like this. I ended up getting the flatscreen version for 15$. I'll get it eventually if they fix it. Game is fun
@robertlawton9836 Nice! I totally think this game has the potential to rock!! If you haven’t played it already, ‘Song in the Smoke’ is an excellent PS VR title (I haven’t even played the PS VR2 version yet). That game felt completely polished and had its own prehistoric survival feel that is quite awesome!!! I really do hope they fix Green Hell for VR cause I am really into itchin’ to get back in the jungle!! ✌️😄

A survival mode in Pavlov would truly be awesome! I so want a ‘Terminator’ mode where it’s 9vs1 and the Terminator is obviously a tank, but everyone has to collect scraps and craft weak guns building up to crafting explosives. I personally prefer that everyone is on an even playing field at all times when it comes to access to every weapon, but I would totally play the shit out of it still if they went ranked! I was expecting having to go all slow and stealthy to avoid predators. I can deal with the ‘older game look’ too if the controls are solid and audio doesn’t disappear randomly. @dreday6320 Right on!! I truly believe that is the best way to experience games 😎 I feel I get more excited this way when I have no clue what to expect. From previews on PC, I did see gameplay of Green Hell years ago and expected this to be lot better lol. 😂 I had never seen or heard of Pavlov until I saw that it was the only online FPS at the time and had no idea it would be one of my all-time favourite games!! Resident Evil 7 and 8 were so something special for me as I totally avoided the flat screen games and same with Resident Evil 4…which review scores are insane!!! Can’t wait for that one ✌️😎
Kinda disappointed, was excited for this but was wanting a nice upgrade and the coop mode. Guess I’ll wait and pick it up later
@Devilisdue1 It’s too funny cause after playing it I had to see if I was missing something, only to discover this is more like the Quest version than the PC version…which really surprised and disappointed me as well. Co-op mode would be soooo awesome!! I’ll try to keep everyone posted if they rectify this! ✌️😀

@vrgamer5045 It does look awesome most of the time!! What you saw in the video looks a bit sharper than it does in VR unfortunately. The initial camp scene where I was talking about the rain was incredible!! Most realistic rain yet for me!! On a sunny day with so many trees in the foreground, I saw a lot of flickering in the sunlit leaves (but no flickering on a cloudy day which looked great!!) It’s too bad the technical issues keep pulling me out of the immersion though. I’m really hoping they fix this cause I really want to experience this game the way it was meant to be! ✌️😎

I’m hoping the little things at least get fixed soon, like the audio randomly cutting out and the watch on my wrist needs to be easy to look at without spraining it. Also, I hate playing PS VR games where you are forced to have your head direct your body in game. Green Hell needs to the de-couple option so I can walk in one direction and look all around without affecting where I’m moving my avatar. I am hopeful that they will patch it soon, here’s hoping they fix the raining lasers on your end✌️😎
Interesting you didn't explore your options to change the Holster/chest locations, as well as other options like turning with or without head!
@malikiking3682 Lol that’s horrible if I missed this, not interesting!! 😂 I hope you’re correct because I did go through the options for a good 20 mins when I bought it, but I didn’t show that on film (was worried about engagement dropping). I actually just turned on the game right now after reading your comment cause I was excited, went through the entire menu system and could not find where I can de-couple my head from my hands so that I can turn my head while walking forward. PLEASE tell me where you saw this (step by step what menu you selected) as I was hugely disappointed that the game does not have this by default. Just to be clear, are you sure it’s there in PS VR2, or are you playing this on PC or Quest? If the option is there on PS VR2 (and you can direct me to it), I will make another video and credit you so others know about this option. Thanks so much and no problem if it was on a different system cause I’m goin crazy trying to find this essential option✌️😃
I've played Green Hell like a madman for the past two years. I absolutely love it. And I've completed the story on this version with the PSVR2 as well. While there are a number of bugs and yes, the graphics could be better, I still really like it. It would seem logical that the dev team will continue to update it as time goes on and we'll get even more fun things to do.
