Senegal has many tribes but almost everyone speaks Wolof as lingua franca (the language of the former Jollof empire). Therefore people easily understand each other culturally. French is still the official language due to colonial mindsets of old presidents (associating European languages with elitism) but this would change to Wolof soon.

If they build anything, it would be a small factory or a high rise building to rent as offices and apartments. They invest in their villages by supporting agriculture and they build modern but simple homes for their extended families
