- There are countries very small that managed to play in a FIFA World Cup! So in this video we'll see the 10 smallest countries in area that ever played in the football/soccer biggest stage!
Some national teams comes from countries smaller than most US states, smaller than regions in England and almost the size of cities! And we're also gonna see how well these national teams played!

Of course the greatest achievement for Northern Ireland is during George Best era
Except it isn't George Best never played at a World Cup nor even in the qualifiers for 82 he last played for them in 1977. he was only 12 in 1958 so wasn't involved there either. Northern Ireland should have qualified for 66 but conceded a late equaliser to Albania where the win would have put them in a neutral playoff v Switzerland, In 70 the Soviet Union beat them while in 74 Bulgaria and Portugal both finished ahead.

El Salvador both World Cup were marred by War/Civil War and corruption. The 1982 World they showed up just a few days before the first game, so they couldn't train nor acclimate to the climate. They also didn't even have a full squad. So it is a bit unfair.

Trinidad🇹🇹 Qualified to World cup by beating Bahrein in the intercontinental playoff . Bahrein 🇧🇭 is 6 times smaller than Trinidad 😂 (760 km°)
Big up Trinidad also we were supposed to play in the 1974 world cup as well but we were cheated 5 goals vs Haiti hence allowing Haiti to qualify

@@joules_sw In Haitian football media its said that our dictator at the time Baby Doc bribed the match officials to disallow any goals Trinidad scored. Trinidad scored 5 goals but only one of them was allowed, had the goals been allowed Trinidad would've won 5-2 and finish first in the group, sending them to the World Cup

Yorke was one of the stars of the treble winning Manchester United in '99, he was just at the end of his career at 2006, thats why he played in Australia.
It's funny how England managed to be in the same team as most of these mini-states, and qualify for the next round fairly easy... Lucky bastards.

As someone who’s family is Jamaican 🇯🇲. Jamaica is in the Caribbean which counts as being in the continent of North America
@AviationGeekeditz U are misguided. The Caribbean isn't "counted" as part of North America, but as part of the "Americas", not to any specific part of either North, South or Central America
If you find a map of north America a lot of the Caribbean countries are in the map including Jamaica 🇯🇲
Welsh players have access to the UK leagues in developing players so I feel like they have a huge advantage over a country like T&T making the world cup
