- In This Genshin Impact video I Read and briefly discuss the idea presented in the text of Treasured Tales of the Chouken Shinkageuchi. It implies that Raiden Ei sacrificed herself to help her sister Raiden Makoto ascend to the heavenly citadel in celestia and claim her role as one of the seven Archons.

Maybe it was restricted because Ei and Makoto were supposed to be the same person? (In the eyes of the people - Ei couldn’t even mourn Makoto publicly.)
That’s likely the exact reason it was restricted
Seems like the most logical reason indeed
If the book is legit...
Then that would mean that in the cut scene where "Ei" is holding the dead body of "Makoto" would be reversed into Makoto holding Ei's dead body
And that it wasn't the cataclysm but the archon war that caused her demise just so her twin sister, Makoto can ascend to becoming an archon
So the reason why Ei is relying on puppets to live is because she's just a soul now?
i think the only error with yours is the cutscene part, the cutscene belongs to the cataclysm (500 years before the present of teyvat) showing makoto's death and khanri'as destruction, wherein Ei passed away/loss her physical form roughly 2000 years ago near the end of the archon war where only (probably) 7 gods are allowed to wield their respective domains/rule-guide humans by celestia's plans, though i don't know how Makoto manage to hold/keep Ei's divine will/soul in Teyvat (maybe it had to do with Yae teaching the twin gods on how to place (i forgot the word)will? onto objects..don't know...don't mind me-got invested with the lore and read the archives puhahaha but yea truth and lies are transcribe in most legends and history-books so we don't know what to say but speculate
So is the potential turn of events:
-Ei Sacrfices herself so Makoto can become an Archon and THEN
-Makoto uses her power to bring back Ei's physical form?
If this is true this brings up so many questions. Was this physical form that was created a real body? A Homunculus like Albedo? A Puppet like Scaramouche? Or perhaps they are all the same.
Also, if Ei sacrificed herself, how is it possible that Makoto brought back her "soul" and gave it a physical form? Is it possible to extract someone's soul from the leylines? So many questions.
I think the word " sacrifice " here doesn't mean death.....maybe it's Ei's sacrifice of her personality or as a different individual which would caused conflicts about who could have been the next electro archon ( just my speculation)
Keep in mind that with the info we got about Guoba, 'gods' don't really die in the same sense as humans. It also explains why a lot of god-like entities are sealed away instead of killed. They seem to be able to reconstitute themselves and sort of 'recharge' over time.
I mean, we have seen similar thing happen with Andrius, the God of Blizzards and Barbatos
"At some point during the Archon War, Andrius decided that he was unworthy of becoming the Anemo Archon due to his perceived lack of love for humanity that an Archon ought to have.[8] Realizing his blizzards could only take lives and not nourish them, he chose to pass on, letting his power flow into the land to nurture it and its people.[9] It is unclear when exactly this occurred relative to Decarabian's death, but it was likely around the same time or right beforehand.
Upon the death of his physical body, part of Andrius' spirit and power took on its current icy form. However, this form is incapable of harnessing his full abilities."

I think the puppet is made by alchemy...
When albedo explained why he have a star symbol in his neck is because it's the mark/trademark of the creator
This "trademark" is also found behind the Raiden shogun's neck although it has a different symbol, but the symbol is a trademark and trademarks are like a signature of the creator so that would make since considering from the fact that the symbol is often connected to Ei (idk what's the name of that symbol but it has 3 commas so yeah lmao)
The same way Venti and Zhongli create their physical form using their newfound Gnosis power
on the seventh day of wintoria , teyvat gave to me, seven windwheel asters, six shooting ruin hunters, five godroll artifacts, four shieldwall mitachurls, 3 of draff's dead pigeons, 2 of timmie's birds and a qiqi at 89 pity.
I love you
Gods can change their form, maybe Ei turned herself as a weapon for Makoto to use. Gods can also let another god be the archon (or support them), like in Mondstadt and Liyue.
Liyue?
like andrius is to venti/barbatos?

Well we did learn that in Gouba's quest that God's don't truly die in the same way that humans do.
It's possible that they could be revived under certain conditions. Which might explain why Zhongli chose to seal most of them away instead.
I still believe that it's possible to kill them, but only under specific conditions. Otherwise, it makes no sense why Ei could be revived while Makoto couldn't.
Edit: Off course this is speculation, and Makoto might be an exception.
Make sense
You can kill gods
Only in physical form not spirit
This is kinda interesting topic, if we go by the texts, it's not impossible for Ei to sacrifice herself for Makoto (sacrifice doesn't mean death or sorts, more like to sacrificing her body and transformed into a sword Makoto wielded for some time being) and later when Makoto died during the cataclysm, Ei took her true form again to destroy everything but didn't able to save her older sister 🥺 Makoto.
The sword that BAAL/MAKOTO used was formed by her divine might, when it belonged to her it was unsharpened after she died she left it in Ei's care and now ei uses whenever she does the musou no hitotachi. So it's unlikely ei turned herself into a weapon when that sword was made from makoto's divine might and power.
Wassup fellow teyvatains
Damn, here i was questioning what was happening on the Archon quests and the answer was already in my bag...
🌸❤️It would be quite moving were the title to prove factual! Oof time to watch (apologies, I always prefer to comment prior so that my opinion is not tainted)!❤️🌸
Fair enough. Time will tell whether this ends up being the truth. For now I wanted to present the text, and the facts of the matter, and allow calmer minds to prevail…. My concern with this topic is that the community seems to be considering Ei’s body sacrifice as objective fact when atm it is not.
I suspect that Raiden’s voice line referring to this book is referencing a later volume that we do not have access to, as the events described all take place before the Watatsumi rebellion.
