A row is a basic way to structure data, from mathematics to twelve notes of the chromatic scale in music. The rows of data floating in the air every second being converted into messages and voices. Bits of information become symbols that can be combined in words, words add up to sentences and sentences translate our ideas and thoughts. It's about the perception of information, language, and dialogue.
We’ve been challenged to experiment with this technology and see if it can somehow be used in an interesting way to create an audiovisual experience. The result is a raw concept of a scalable data-driven installation.
Row is a modular and scalable array of screens that can form various length line of any desired shape. Translating raw visuals driven by generative sound, the content itself is being echoed with a slight delay which creates various moving patterns that highlight and reflect the spatial characteristics of space where it is installed.
For this project, we’ve teamed up with technical partner HOLO ONE who kindly provided holographic led displays.
Special thanks to Андрей Прокудин, Ivan Shapen, and Alexandr Padalko.

Absolutely beautiful. So much depth and richness in the audio and lighting. Reminds me of transmissions from a numbers station although from extraterrestrials.

You guys should drive an audio load with the stereographic signal. All those perfect circles and curved lines would sound great parameterized to L/R speaker channels with X/Y axes being the channels of the display.

Can this truly reflect how sounds / each frequency shapes look like, the way cymatics do, but in 3D form?? Genuinely curios.

I don't think it's projected. It looks like each display is a high-speed spinning strip of LEDs that switch on an off when in the correct positions to produce the images.
