Well yes!!! There was a time children... long ago, when singers from European countries gathered in peace and sang one song each, and the best of these songs was picked up as the best and was given a prize called Eurovision Grand Prix. That gathering itself was called Eurovision Song Contest and many of its songs, that is to say its Grand Prix one and not only, were sung and loved all over Europe. Just like this sweet song which reperesented Ireland in the E.S.C of the year 1970. O TEMPORA O MORES my children...
Snowdrops and daffodils Butterflies and bees Sailboats and fishermen Things of the sea Wishing-wells Wedding bells Early morning dew All kinds of everything remind me of you Seagulls and aeroplanes Things of the sky Winds that go howlin' Breezes that sigh City sights Neon lights Grey skies or blue All kinds of everything remind me of you Summertime Wintertime Spring and autumn too Monday Tuesday every day I think of you. Dances Romances Things of the night Sunshine and holidays Postcards to write Budding trees Autumn leaves A snowflake or two All kinds of everything remind me of you. Summertime Wintertime Spring and autumn too Seasons will never change The way that I love you. Dances Romances Things of the night Sunshine and holidays Postcards to write Budding trees Autumn leaves A snowflake or two All kinds of everything remind me of you. All kinds of everything remind me of you.
The world is still cruel but there is a beacon of light, of innocence that gives hope that there is belief in the guteness of mankind, of humanity that sets our moral compass in a world so immorally cruel.
I am watching the Chase 21.2.2018 and this song was the answer to the question so I thought I would play it...when I listen to this I think what has happened to the world?
So here there was, Dana Scallon won the Eurovision Song Contest at the age of 20. she was so naturally beautiful and seems to be very young♥ more than beautiful singer Ireland ever had.. just sing with heart and smile...
I remember this song well. I was only 11 when she won the Eurovision Song Contest. Dana beat the British singer Mary Hopkin [Knock, Knock, Who's There] into second place twice, first time in the contest, second time in the record charts. If I have done my sums right she must now be 72 years old [comment posted March 2024].
And there's really no need to glorify besting a fellow competitor as "beating" isn't it? They both were impressive young ladies with the awesome talent of singing. But yes, I too am very very pleased the audience voted for her. That angelic voice of Derry, Northern Ireland, will forever stay in the hearts of those who hear her singing, then, now and into the humanity of time.
2024, also here because of _Magic Jewelry_ game from the NES, just found it tonight again and brought me back to childhood ❤
Wow. Can't stop watching this. She was beautiful.
She was attractive, and still is.
...from the heart, this song will always be forever embedded in my memories

@@SuperCatman I think what he means is that esc used to be an innocent, well, song contest. Not the political beamoth of modern day.

Sweet song, cute and endearing girl. Makes me believe the world is not entirely cruel.
The world is still cruel but there is a beacon of light, of innocence that gives hope that there is belief in the guteness of mankind, of humanity that sets our moral compass in a world so immorally cruel.

Your comment carries even more weight now.
What indeed has happened to the world?
