    Breast cancer, been looking at prevention, found book Cancer as Metabolic disease, funny I’ve been craving sugar, like an addict. I’m just starting the keto journey, wonderful to see your store because I woke this morning thinking how do I get electrolytes, I can’t drink Gatorade 😊 so glad I woke this morning turned on my phone to see what time it was to go on my walk and this presentation popped up. Devine intervention I’d say!!

    I do have a sister with cancer but cancer is something new to our family. I have learned so much through her diagnosis that I know what my decision would be if it was me but I had no clue how cancer treatments worked. She does what her doctor and dietitians tell her to do and only what they tell her. With how rampant cancer is being people need to really look into cancer treatments. Thank god there are doctors and researchers putting info out there for those of us who don’t follow traditional cancer treatments alone.

      A diet change for sure but I have already done that because nutritional info given to cancer patients leaves a lot to be desired. I do believe that good nutrition with low to no carbs benefits the body when it has cancer but also can help prevent cancer. Other than that would depend on finances and what natural treatments would be available. I am not willing to put toxic treatments in my body as well as doing a ton of toxic testing. I will take each day god gives me how ever long that is. I am more at peace with this now than I was 9 months ago. I don’t take what a doctor tells me now as truth I fact check it and find they stretch the truth maybe it’s to give hope but I do think some people would make different decisions if they were told the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

    1. When you mean a keto diet, what about dairy products? Totally prohibited or product only products with high fat percentages. 2. I've been on a keto diet for a long time and I can't lower my sugar levels and raise my ketones. What is the solution? 3. There is a lot of glutamine in the meat, how does this work with cancer cells? 4. When you start a water fast, do you also stop with the supplements?

    • @mericummings7817
      @mericummings7817 2 месяца назад

      Yes, skip supplements when you water fast, but add electrolytes to the water (such as unflavored LMNT). Work up to fasting slowly. Search Mindy Pelz on RUclips for lots of info on different types of fasting (intermittent, 24-hr, 36-hr, 48 hr, 72-hr, longer). Grassfed butter (e.g. Kerry Gold and other Irish butters) are good dairy sources. Stop eating bread, cereal, and other processed foods. Keto and carnivore diets are helping so many people. Best wishes!!! 😊

      I found I was eating too much meat. I was never in ketosis even though I was eating ZERO carbs??? Gluconeogenesis is real… Anyway, I haven’t done it yet but the solution is to lower the protein and increase the fat.
      Dairy is probably not recommended because it does have carbs but it’s probably something you can play around with because I think it varies from person to person.

    Totally geeked out on this (CardioPulmonary background). A question worth pondering…. What happens when high Dew Points (>70degF) lowers (via water vapor/displacement) atmospheric oxygen? Seeing this a lot in areas subjected to weather geoengineering… (Dew points ~ 80degF = FIO2 ~ 16%, hence why it feels so exhausting). IMO they are doing this for targeted flooding (part of the Building Back Better agenda), but I’ve wondered how this would affect us on a metabolic/mitochondrial level? Not sure if this has been studied? (Perhaps by DARPA, but they wouldn’t share if they did know). (P.S. Sorry that so many are being affected by this demonic BBB agenda. Hoping it will soon be exposed enough to put a stop, or at least regulate it.)

    August 27 2024 Columbia University science study of keto diet triggers tumor metastasis. Keto has been the go to for so many years for weight loss and now cancer. There are benefits of course but one should work very carefully with their physician who is knowledgeable with these new studies. From my reading, ketosis triggers a reaction of certain genes to trigger formation of cancer tumors that metastasis. Yes, cancer survives on sugar so keto eliminates sugar but mother nature always has a way to go down another path - and science studies are beginning to share this information. Once we understand specific cancer with specific gene that is targeted to mutate into cancer - then once that gene is neutralized (no longer effective) the keto diet can continue but again, one should work very closely with a physician who has knowledge in this area.

I need to fast more to lose weight, and exercise more. I also removed many toxins from my environment. I am now able to control inflammation, and careful with my blood sugar monitoring. My cancer recurrence risk is only 3%, and my Oncologist tells me that cancer is not coming back. She also said she prays that what she tells me will always be true. I feel very fortunate to have her as my doctor, and grateful that she saved my life, after being misdiagnosed twice by others. Radiation has caused permanent damage, that is less than pleasant and also required treatment.

      Most oncologists have the mindset that their only job is to briefly, temporarily extend a cancer patient's life for a few months or maybe if they're lucky a few years. They know that once a cancer has reached the point of metastasis then it is no longer curable and none of their treatments will kill all the cancer cells, so the cancer will come back and eventually kill the patient. Their job is to keep the patient still hopeful, still thinking they will beat their cancer, and to keep them busy in the months leading up to their death with lots and lots of medical appointments for surgeries, chemo, radiation, etc. They want to keep them so busy that they don't have much time to think about their impending doom.

      @@koreyb Wouldn't that depend upon the kind of cancer a person has? I had Endometrial Cancer, and my Oncolgist told me I am cancer free, and that she does NOT expect it to recur. I have changed my diet from Vegetarian to Plant based whole foods, organic where possible. Granted, I need to exercise more and lose weight, but it is now almost three years since surgery, and I am doing well. It is cerainly possible to live the rest of my life without cancer. Prior to my last appointment, I had gone more than a year without seeing her,, because I was more than tired of having my 'undercarriage' prodded and probed. I believe what she told me, and she says she prays that what she tells me will always be correct. My risk of recurrence is only 3%, which is less than that of most women walking down he street!

      @mkkmusika, please do more research. Dr Campbell ytube channel and Merogenomics, for example. It increases antibodies that make your body's immune system much less capable against cancer and negatively affects tumor suppressor genes. It strongly enables very aggressive, rapid, untreatable cancer. Research Britain's top oncologist, Dr Angus DALGLIESH, who is adamant about the horrific cases he now has in patients who were doing well until the injection. He says to stop its use immediately. And that is only the tip of the iceberg of harm. Also, some batches are proven more harmful than others. It is Russian roulette at best. Best wishes. ❤

Apparently the theory is that my sympathetic nervous system and autonamic nervous system aren't working well, and I'm stuck in the "fight or flight" mode. My HRV scores ranges from 8-13. My blood sugar is always elevated. 120-130 regardless of time of day (I make liberal use of a home glucometer). Nothing would durably lower it. Went keto, low carb, fasted 48 hrs etc. Recently had my insulin tested: it was under 3. I also have an IQ of 140. I think my brain insists on lots of sugar. Causing high adrenaline and cortisol and a highly strung personality. It’s not insulin resistance; it’s the body’s set point.

      3 years into keto lifestyle my ave glucose by meter is still near 108...a bit high too. Recently, I am simplifying my diet to drive more towards keto. For the first 2 years my brain was doing poorly...when I stopped loosing weight and increased nutrition and fat I did much better. I keep doing better slowly, but doing much better than the average person on the street and metabolic damage receding. I find exercise important for me. For me anyway, no plant oils and limited carbs works.

      I too tried to fast and it seemed like I was dropping a pound every min. I had to stop after loosing 20% of my total weight which was not that high to begin with. Subsequently, I tracked my blood sugar on a very low carb and higher fat diet (lost of healthy fats and low carb vegies to keep from losing any more weight) with a CGM for a month and it my blood sugar hovered around 108 average, not too many spikes over 140 after eating. Not sure, if like you my body is making the extra glucose as a result of excess cortisol and epinephrine. I am making ketones that were in my blood and urine.

    For me we need to do all the whole package of preventing or reverse cancer and that is not a healthy diet because cancer does not only occur because of bad diet. There are still things we need to accomlish like toxicity in the environment, how we cook the foods because if we dont know, our own food and coockware, microwave, cell, tv , computer, stress, commercial product we used personally,lack of sleep, insidentary life style, exercise, etc will still produce toxicity that produce cancer cell production. The best way listen to the reaction of your body and devise a lifestyle that you learn from your research and apply as a trial and error and keep adjusting until you reach a diet, exercise etc you feel comfortable and work for you

  • @Hydr0matic
    @Hydr0matic 2 месяца назад +49

    Dr. Boz, I believe it's important to mention that, when you're in ketosis your liver does the beta-oxidation of fatty acids instead of peripheral tissue. This shifts the demand for oxygen FROM peripheral tissue to the liver (which is highly oxygen-perfused). The result is that less oxygen is needed for respiration and more oxygen will be available to perfuse deeper into tissue and reduce the demand for anaerobic metabolism and glucose. This is KEY both for T2DM and cancer.

    This is in line with my thinking (that low-carb/ketogenic diets are 'anti-cancer'), and yet my mom just sent me this long post by a 70-something-old doctor (heart surgeon) who put his cancer into remission by (according to him) 'avoiding ALL animal foods, and especially fat' and eating plant-based (vegetables and fruit) and keeping protein low. Of course, he also deliberately lowered stress and moved to the countryside and made other lifestyle changes... I just had to shake my head when I read 'fat is dangerous (and don't even eat fish)'. Anyway, I'm confused and curious: why are there people who claim to have put their cancer into remission by juicing/detoxing and cutting out animal foods and meats (because they believe protein feeds cancer)? Are they misattributing cause and effect? Or is it that plant-based initially provides positive effects but then eventually depletes the body (being more medicinal as opposed to nutritional; medicinal implying that it's meant as a short-term strategy only)? And plant-based can't help but be on the high-carb side, so wouldn't that raise blood glucose and help fuel cancer cells?
