I have bought from them before the Ai overload, I will be honest when I say I won't be buying again due to that. I do not care that they removed it, being an art company, they should know not to do that kind of stuff.
@@NinaQueenathey used ai on their website to “show” how the markers look like. Them being an art supply company it’s kinda hard to look past the use of ai images. :/
I have these. I was afraid that one color I was using was running dry in the midst of my drawing…DIP THE TIP IN WARM WATER FOR A SECOND, PUT THE LIFE ON, SHAKE IT, tadaaaa!
I have the same set as you! I bought it about two weeks ago, and I have a very similar experience. The light colours were VERY sheer and took quite a few layers, and the paint definitely changes its hue/opacity when they dry. 11:47 The exact same blue marker bubbles for me too! None of my other markers bubbles (that I remember.) Must've been how that exact marker was made in factory. I plan on making a review so hearing that you had a similar experience is really insightful 🤔
I’m waiting for a refillable version of acrylic brush pen markers… I figured out how to put India ink in water, brush pens and those are refillable. I figured out how to refill my watercolor markers. I feel this is the only economical way to use these kinds of markers/pens Because they run out so quick and it seems so wasteful. But yeah, the only reason I haven’t bought this particular brand you’re using in this video, because they’re the only option on the market right now they’re probably not for finished works and ultimately if I am using something in a sketchbook, it’s to practice it so I can use it on bigger pieces. It’s a shame because they seem like such an awesome! Tool! Can’t wait for other options :-) nice artwork by the way :-)
Yo. So sad to hear that you have those issues with these markes. Got these too. I dont know of they changed something other than the packaging, but mines are "older" and i never got any issues with them? I draw very much with them and non of them are run out of ink, or dripped to much paint. So im a little bit sad for you. Nice art though. Lover your content❤
Someone suggested I put it in warm water and shake so I'll get back to you on that! I have the speedpaint for the brown paper so I'll look to see if I post em then!
Yeah I am not interested in a company using AI art of any kind, especially an ART company? I am shocked, did no one use their brain for a split second?? Anyways, your art is amazing and I am glad you had them remove the trash but still. Thanks for sharing and lovely to see the process of this piece
I miss more longer form art content 😢🖤 your channel is always delivers that missing itch. Not to mention your comics and art style are lovely. Good work on the review! I needed to watch a video from a non-sponser. I love artists getting that bag, but their reviews seemed biased! Have a good week 🖤🖤
Thank you so much! That means a lot 🖤 This video isn't sponsored! They initially sponsored 2 TikToks but then some people suggested I make a full video with the markers so I took the leftover footage and made this one. They JUST reached out to me to make a sponsored video and their PDF asked I not critique them so I'll only be accepting the collaboration if they revoke that clause 😊
@ARTBYNIPS that's? Very sketchy. I was considering these markers but couldn't find any cons by ANYONEEE. Any company telling others "not to critize it", eyuck!! I'll save up for better paint markers. This company seems odd. Especially the AI bit. You're a sweetheart for making this video :> have a good night
AI art + Markers running out fast = Big no from me. Love the colors and the art you made using them but they should be ashamed as a company that makes products for artists. Also about your videos doing worse: I noticed after AI "art" became a thing lots of people stopped drawing and consuming art content as a result due to it affecting their mental health and self-esteem, myself included. Stay strong, love your art and would love more videos/art with these markers.
Yo the fear of using all of your art supplies even though taste the point is so real xD I honestly thought I was weird for that but not I know we're BOTH weird for that lmao
i have the dual tip set of 64- i know for me it says on the packaging and on the website to store the markers horizontally. i bought them semi-recently, so hoping i don't run into the same 'running out' issue as you! i quite like these markers, personally... though they were kinda pricy (though i got mine on sale for $40usd!) do you think the ink running out may be because of how you've stored them? unsure, i wasn't there, but a thought? haha the only other brand i know other than artxx that has 'good' paint markers are poscas. i'm mainly a digital artist, though- so for me, getting a set of paint markers is my attempt to do traditional art more while still being able to have the same 'undo without repercussions' feeling as digital... anyways, love the drawing you made in this video! your process is insanely cool!
I echo the sentiment of not wanting ro waist your art supplies lol I live in Sout America and some of these things are hard or expensive to find btw, I got inspired and draw something myself while watching your video (I'm trying some cheap acrylic ones I bought to try this medium out)
Hi, love the video, and although I don't intend to buy a set of these, I really like content about traditional art. I just had a little bit of a hard time with the artwork in the background running in a horizontal orientation. But regardless, hope to see more! Subscribed 🌹
Hi! I’m sorry if this was already posted about or mentioned but I’ve been looking all over your page to find out what brand sketchbook is the toned paper from that you swatched all of the markets on? Thank you so much in advance!! (Also your drawing came out so good!!!) 0:52
First time watching your videos and I really like your art style! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on these markers, they seem enjoyable but also kind of wasteful if they contain so little ink :/
Listening to you talk about how you're trying to draw everyday. I have been trying to draw more frequently by doing a little comic based off the Inktober prompts. I have the opposite problem with references--- I feel like I haven't been able to draw anything without them. I'm trying to relax and practice drawing from imagination because I feel like I'm not pushing myself to really internalize how things look / not thinking creatively, does that make sense? I'm trying to use other mediums too, so this video is really making me want to try out paint markers soon. I made an impulse decision to do an oil pastel portrait the other day and I felt a little bit of my soul come back to me lmao. I really like the dark-to-light process when coloring and pain markers seem like a great way to work with that. Though, I'm a bit worried about them running out as you say :,]
Btw the last half of the video if was a bit uncomfortable cause the art was being made sideways. Love the vid, my Arrtx markers get dry a lot so I try to pout water on the nib and store them, if used right away it waters the color down a bit.
A little note on your using a reference tangent. This past year I’ve been in a painting class with artists all at least double/ some triple my age. Idk where this reference =bad or less than era started or originated for online artists but it is such a small echo chamber. Every single person in the class uses a reference for something. They don’t even think twice. Because if isn’t a taboo or wrong. It is part of the process. It is a creative thing to see something and gel with it and have it inspire you. So don’t shame yourself because some random person on probably deviantart years ago started this trend of reference = bad. Do whatever fuels your creativity and makes you make art.
I was impressed with the colors, but not how long they lasted. I'll stick to my tubes of paint. It seems like a real money sink issue, having to keep buying backup sets for your backup sets and all.
Yeah I think that's a valid route! As a gouache/watercolor user, the bang for my buck on a tube a paint vs these is astronomical. These I guess are mostly for "convenience" on mixing, water, brushes etc. Feels nice to be able to just use a marker without much thought haha
