Dogs are so wonderful!! I recently lost my wife after a thirty-four day illness and many decades too young. Three years before her death, we rescued a "pit-mix" who was one day before she was scheduled to be euthanized. We both loved, and I still love, Lola like the daughter we weren't fortunate enough to have. Losing my wife has caused me pain, grief, confusion, anger etc. on levels I've never come close to experiencing. After Lisa's death, Lola wouldn't eat, didn't wag her tail and hid for about a week. In my grief, I've lost touch with a lot but NEVER caring for Lola. Dogs are incredibly smart and resilient. After about a week, Lola returned to her normal self but I didn't and I'm not sure I ever will. My mother died two months before Lisa did and I lost my 15 year incredible business to a ridiculous legislative change one week after my wife's death. My small family are now only my father, sister and Lola. Dad is half of himself and unhappy since my mother died and my sister and I love each other but aren't that close. I have no doubt that Lola is saving my life. Ironically, my wife and I saved hers and now she's saving mine. We do a lot of stupid things in this world and I know I've made my contributions. One of the dumbest and most selfish things one can do, in my opinion, is buy a dog bred for breed type. Breeding dogs, for money, is cruel because for each dog bred, one that needs a home doesn't have one. Sharing life with a dog is not meant to be a unilateral choice/experience. That's the point....it's a mutual relationship. We have a big problem with birth control and the overpopulation of dogs. I dream of a celebrity, and those with influence, making adopting a dog "cool." I love all dogs...purebred and mixed...the purely bred aren't at fault for being here. If you think about getting a dog, think about which is more important...getting the perfect bred for your selfish choice and saving a precious life?!! There's no higher calling in the world that saving lives. Put dog-breeders out of business. They're the lowest form of scum on earth. Their actions promote suffering and the needless waste of life.
Dogs go to heaven, even if they cant read the bible. A "christian" told me you cant go to heaven if you dont read and believe in the bible. even though he was probably some lying, thieving, sexual deviant. My dog is being put to sleep tomorrow. I KNOW anything he did wrong was never intentional all he ever wanted to do was please me. theres no more pure a soul than my boy Scott. Ill miss you boy every day with an aching heart. RIP Good Boy. This is pain beyond ive known. I love you so much. Now im going to be surrounded by nothing but uglyness on two legs. Fuck this.
This is the best version of this on RUclips. I share it to anyone who has lost a dog or pet.
