It would have been difficult for any goalkeeper to step into Alison's shoes, but Kelleher has risen to the occasion with great poise and confidence.
the best English sentence ever written on RUclips 🤣
definitely do not sell him, do the same thing chelsea did with courtouis , loaned him to atletico for 2 seasons while cech finished out his chelsea career, this kid is amazing
Liverpool-supporters have known about his skills a long time. He has been our main Cup goalkeeper for a couple of seasons already and this was not his first Cup trophy.
Too good to let go and too good to let him leave.
LFC has a Fantastic Squad
YNWA
He was clutch in the Champions League also, when Alisson was out.
we are worried about how do we keep such an amazing back up.
I'm worried what will happen with the youngsters when Klopp leaves? He did an awesome job to build them in the team
I'm actually more nervous for when Alison returns. I've seriously put so much trust in this guy. I love him and I hope he still has a significant role once Alison is back.
@@DarthVader-xb8gd yeah. Just a natural paranoia of GK's being out for a while. It's probably irrational, but it just goes to show how much CK has made us felt comfortable with him in the sticks.
Yeah, it takes time to re-settle and go back to previous form, but I feel Alisson being one of the best or the best GK (up to personal opinion) goes along a different mentality and he will know when he is ready.
Me I think klopp should not break the momentum kelleher has right now he might be our second option but he is atleast top 3 in the pl right now, bringing Ali in with the title race being this tight and having 10 games left I say we stick with kelleher as much quality as ali is he won't be at 100% when he returns for a game or 2 which may cost us the league, we should use him for the cup games and see how it goes before putting him in the league
Kelleher has done more than enough to retain the jersey, I don’t think Alison should expect to just step in again as soon as he is fit. Maybe play him in the Europa League to get him back to speed..
I’d leave him in until the end of the season!
Consistency is so key and would be great experience especially if we win the league .
I think real Liverpool fans have been aware of the talent he is. Just unfortunate for him that our #1 is the best keeper in the world. I’ve always felt pretty confident for him stepping in for Alison for the past few years. Not surprised at all.
He's making Cork proud.
Kelleher has won us 2 league cups, he has never let us down, this isnt new for Liverpool fans, its not just recently that hes performed well, hes been outstanding for us for years whenever he plays
It is crazy though, that we can loose Ali and Trent and actually hardly notice. Both Caoimhin and Connor have been outstanding stepping in. Only problem is they are standing in for world class players... Considering Alissons injury record I would love for Kelleher to stay with us, but he deserved to play a lot more so I wouldn´t be surprised to see him go somewhere else. To be honest, I was surprised we kept hold of him this season.
Given how Allison had 2 injuries, seemingly out of nothing and the second one taking him out for weeks, I'd love for Kelleher to stay as a backup, but not sure he's willing to do that. One hand, he's playing for 1 of the best teams in the world, but on the other, he can't get regular play time with Ali as #1 keeper.
The way he stepped up is superb though, can't be praised enough.
If i were klopp with 10 games left i wouldn't break the momentum, knowing very well when ali returns he wont be up to par and he might slip up which may cost us big time, so i'd like the team to keep kelleher to avoid sliping up and we all know what happens when alisson is not at his 100% arsenal game is a big example
Unfortunate but I agree
Ya don't play the best GK in the world.
You must be a huge success in this sport.
Agreed. But arsenal game wasn't his fault, Vvd's knee knocks his leg away just before he's supposed to hit the ball.
@@makavelismith you don't get it do you,
I think Brighton would be an awesome loan, what a good shout man! Although, AB has shown himself, probably because he's such a dynamic keeper, to be injury prone. At the same time, even though CK is our "backup" (its at this point a 1a and 1b situation) he's already been able to stack silverware in that position, I dont know if he'd necessarily be keen on leaving that situation. Two league cups as starting keeper in those competitions is pretty damn impressive if you ask me. By far the best "backup" (dont really like using that term for him) I've ever seen play for this club in my almost 20 years of support. Its like he watched Alisson and learned and absorbed his powers. His distribution is incredibly underrated.
Kelleher has definately been in Alisson's class after Christmas, I think, in almost every way, saves, distribution and in the calmness he exudes, but Kelleher has been excellent in those areas since his debut.
It's not just Kelleher either. Bradley at rightback, Quansah at CB and Elliott in midfield. Hell, i'd even put Gomez at LB in that conversation. They were all asked to step up due to injuries, but they've risen to the challenge with very impressive performances. So much so that it will be hard to take gametime away from them when the injured guys return.
Kelleher NEEDS that game time for the rest of the season. He’s pretty much done us a favor by not worrying about the 1# Goalkeeper, THATS HIM!
Liverpool is best team
Keep the kid's rights ?!!! He's special!!!!
My thoughts exactly, mate🤝🏻
Kelleher is a great goal keeper but so is Alisson. I would not want Kelleher to leave but a loan deal could be beneficial if it gives him more playing time
a season loan at Brighton or Brentford would be great
I knew he was class from the day he was introduced to first team action.
But highly impressed with his decision making and playing with feet as the last defender... wow
(Forgot his penalty taking ability too)
LET'S GO
#ChampionsInTheMaking
Sorry but most of us Liverpool fans knew we'd be fine with Kelleher. It's not a surprise he's world class.
What liverpool can do if they sell Kelleher is to try to put a buy-back price in the sale. Allison is 31 now. Has at least another 4 or 5 good years, you would think. OR, I hate to say it. Sell Allison, i can't believe i'm saying this. Make Kelleher your number one keeper. Roll the dice so to speak.
Objectively, this would be the smart choice .
Insane.
It’s like people have forgotten the level that Alison plays at. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills reading these comments.
@@rickys7435 there are other threads with more of these maniacs.
Talking about him being too old etc.... wtf.
So many fans are going around without a brain.
@@rickys7435 there are other threads with more people talking about replacing Alisson because he's too old etc ...
Bunch of morons.
We (Celtic) would absolutely love to take him on loan for a season for two. I'm glad he's getting the credit he deserves. Only helps the Ireland team in the long run
Ireland are so shit, but at least we have top keepers. 😂😭
Kelleher is the reason liverpool are having successful cup runs in recent seasons.once he is gone, we will go back to being knocked by a low tier team who manages to have 1 shot on target(early klopp era). Massive testament to this is the UCL home game against Atheltico Madrid. I don't think we ever lose that game if we had kelleher in goal instead of Adrain.
I think about that same thing as well.
Absolutely loved watching this guy grow into the confident monster that he's become, and he'll only get better. YNWA Caoimhin ❤
Bro said Kelleher, like 💯 times 😂😂
It's because nobody in England can correctly pronounce the name caoimhín
I never thought I said this, but I actually agree with the comment below. I love Ali a lot because he is not only from the South like me but has also helped LFC win trophies. Kelleher has everything that Ali does but is more mature in making the right decisions and has a sense of complete calmness. I think it will be hard for the gaffer when Ali comes back. Ali does make ridiculous errors at times, and I see more concentration with Kelleher. the decision-making in any position in football is what makes the footballer great.
He don‘t must hide behind any other goalkeeper on the world. What he does the last time was outstanding, brilliant. Good to have him at LFC
He was a striker before he went in goal for a team back home in Cork ireland 🇮🇪
Dont forget too that in the Carabao Cup final a few years ago against Chelsea in the penalty shootout Kelleher hit his shot sweetly while Kepa, the worlds most expensive keeper at one time, skyed his shot.
I think it would be utterly unfair to let this guy sit on the bench once Alisson returns from injury. He's incredible, I'm at awe every time while I'm watching him play. Beside his spectacular saves, I also noticed his long balls. He can be so precise with them, it's crazy!
I don't want Kelleher to leave, he's the future. But I'm not sure how it would work, and if either of them would be happy with 50/50 gametime. I'm afraid he'll leave soon to have the opportunity to be a first choice keeper elsewhere, and it would be a sad day at Liverpool when that happens.
Wouldn't be surprised if top clubs line up to buy him this Summer. He's been performing consistently
His positioning and reflexes is just sublime. He hardly gets any game time when Alisson is fit!!
WHAT!?
Liverpool fans worried about Keevin!?
Where!? Keevin has seen us through high-calibre matches before! He's been reserve goalie for 2 years now! He's won cups with Liverpool before- high profile matches, he's been outstanding!
Tell me... who told you we were worried!?
At least have the decency to google his name if you don't know how to spell it. It's Caoimhín.
@@davidk1644 It is PRONOUNCED K-E-E-V-I-N!
My brother is named "Caoimhín". Believe me, I've been spelling it for a looong time.
I don't have to google him. I've known and discussed his progress since his Academy days!
You're a Johnny-come-lately.
@domainmojo2162 living in Cork myself I've never once seen or heard of anyone using "Keevin" as a pronunciation of Caoimhín. Why would anyone not just write his correct name, especially if, as you say, you have a relative with that name. Muppet.
I have been a Liverpool fan my whole life and Alison has scored a comeback goal for us he deserves best in the world
CK though is phenomenal
He’s world class no doubt
Kelleher has been extremely impressive!
This actually pointed out the worry of defensive lines, we need to improve our defenders.
Allison's positioning and 1on1 rushing is the best in the world. Kelleher has watched him and is now replicating at the same level. For a goalie, making saves look easy is the best compliment and the biggest praise is that we haven't totally missed Alli being injured. Both are so comfortable with their feet. The only difference is dealing with crosses but that will come. Playing UEL this season has helped loads. So happy for the lad 🍀
his reflex was amazing
Kelleher has been crazy good
I was so worried when Allison got injured
Obviously with his quality, he will not be content to be a number two. Kelleher by now should already be the undisputed number one keeper at other clubs. All LFC can do is convincing him to sign a new long term contract with significant pay rise to stay put. Allison is off course world class still, but him getting injured more frequent lately is worrying. Hopefully Michael Edwards can convince Kelleher to stay.
i would let him leave with buy back clause because he is UCL quality and it is extremely unfair to make him sit on the bench in his prime years. The only other way is that we sell allison and it is highly unlikely.
Not a surprise for Liverpool fans. He has been very good for a long time
Have known all about him. Over past 3 or 4 years anytime Kelleher has played for Liverpool and Ireland. I can't recall a single mistake by him. So composed and always dose the simple things right.
love the vid keep it up
I am a huge fan of Kelleher and think he is certainly good enough to start for just about any club in the prem, but he doesn't stand a chance against Alisson. Ali is, in my eyes, the greatest goalkeeper the prem has ever seen, ability wise. Like you said, a move to Brighton might suit him best at this stage. It would hurt to lose him, but he deserves regular playing time.
Just started to watch football? Don’t get caught up in the sycophantic Bekker stream. Kellerher is better than Bekker in every aspect of goalkeeping. Before your time probably, but he reminds me of Ray Clemence a true Liverpool hero and IF we keep him, he’ll contribute as much as Clemency did. I’ve been a kopite since 66 and Bekker is certainly not even as good as Grobbelaar who like him made some howlers.
The first game I knew he special was the penalty kicks against Chelsea last season. For that matter all three of our goalkeepers have won us trophies! Adrian too!!
Top GK. I hope he will take over when Allison leaves
Kweev is deffo too good to be a number 2. Plus, he doesn't do stupid shite like Ali does occasionally.
Cool/calm/amazing feet/looks like he has been a number 1 for Donkey years what a back up to Allison.......Sadly Liverpool will almost certainly lose him eventually....He adores Liverpool..
Looks? Wtf
This guy is on top. Let him be, Ali can wait till next season.
I we only count Clubs number 2 goal keepers. Kelleher is in my opinion together with Ulreich the best number 2 goal keeper of the right now
I seriously think if he was between the sticks in the Arsenal game we would not have conceded the 2nd and 3rd goals, that's not to say he keeps his position when Alison recover from his injury and come back.
Everyone agrees that alison is probably the best keeper in the world. I think that with Kelleher being so good Alison knows he has to be on top of his game .
I'm Liverpool fan n I'm delighted Allison got injured I know Kelleher in person this man is great person n player n it's horrible he ain't Ireland 🇮🇪 number 1
Might be controversial, but I'd rather we sell Alisson for good money and keep Keleher, Alisson's 32yr, he might have 2 more good seasons and then down hill while Kelleher probably have 7, it's a way better investment and we can probably get about 50million euros for Alisson
Kelleher is an outstanding keeper. In pretty much ANY other side, he is the number one. And my fear is he knows this - and we will lose him before Alison is ready to quit.
After those Chelsea -finals couple years back, I wasn´t really worried about Kelleher. That being said, only a fool and blind person wouldn´t put fully fit Alisson to the goal.
Kelleher has won more penalty shoot outs than any other lfc keeper
Not surprised as he has performed like this before. A loan deal at another club would be the obvious move as far as Kelleher is concerned as he deserves to be playing week in, week out.
kelleher is too good to be a number 2, he deserve better. Though i hate to see him leave us.
There is very little difference with most goalkeepers around the world, we have been blessed with having the best in the world and a 2nd choice that is comparable to the rest of the league
Which software do u use to edt champ..
Best No. 2 and probably better than most no. 1 keepers in the league. Unsure what we would do if an offer comes in for him in summer
Alisson's injury record warrants a keeper of Kelleher's quality to stay at Liverpool.
Kelleher has been unreal in the last few games. He doesn't dislodge Allison though, I think he needs to leave because he could be first choice nearly anywhere else. I don't want him to leave, but he's way too good to be a back up but just not Allison unfortunately. Although after the amount of awful goalkeeping we had to deal with through the Mignolet and Karius years it's nice to have 2 top quality goalkeepers
Dude, your videos are good, well written, factual… it just, the way they’re narrated. They don’t sound natural. No spaces between the sentences? Like, each sentence is recorded differently, and then spliced together after? I dunno man, maybe the algorithm tells you that’s the way to make videos, but it just sounds really jarring to me. Sorry dude.
Great vid, the effect is awful tho 😕
Kelleher is the 1st goalkeeper for the rest of the season.
Allison will need a few matches before he's back to his normal amazing self, and those matches would be way too risky at this point.
agree. Kelleher is so on form and deserves his place. Alli can slowly get back in by building his fitness in europa league.
Somehow I don’t think Liverpool will let Kelleher leave the club he will take over from Allison Becker when he leaves Liverpool.
Kellehers natural skill + Alisson as a master keeper to learn from
A keeper needs to be analyzed by coaches, not on how they are at their best, but at their worst. Many keepers have been valued at top money, yet can be nearly expected to make a small mistake every game or two. Caoimhin has not put a foot wrong in a good while now. Even if it comes next game, no big deal.
I wish he stays he’s so good but I would understand if he leaves I’ll support him wherever he goes
2 great gk ...😎
He has scored the penalty to win a trophy, after being the keeper for the long shootout.
Cool under pressure.
He has been so good you will just think its Alisson
I have been saying for 3 years now that Kellerher is actually a better keeper than Bekker. Better in the air, better with his feet, better with one on ones’, bosses the six yard box, better at penalties and a better stopper!
If we sell him thatll be a lovely £20m to our budget at the least. Whoever signs him will have a top keeper for 10 years. £20m would be a steal
cut out the Echo, its really hard to listen to. but Liverpool need to talk to Allison and Kelleher and see what everyones plans are. I wouldn't want to stop his progression and ambitions if he or Allison wants to go for a new challenge
Oh I feel there will be some serious offers this summer for khelleher. LFC can loose him bcs he deserves to play every match and not a 2nd choice keeper at all.
A told you!!!! Don't touch the kid!!! Chaomine is special !!!!
The real question is who starts for Ireland
Kelleher or bazunu👀👀
Alison have given up the ghost since Klopps department announcement three howlers against arsenal bribery and been successful replaced
He is far better than Alison, am very optimistic when he starts.
It's unfair to be no. 2
Tragically Liverpool will most likely lose this phenomenal talent possibility by the summer.
Caoimhín adores Liverpool and all the fan's but we must get real here he is too good to be playing number 2.
Would be foolish to let him go. Why sell him high, only to buy another GK. Ali is my #1 but not for that long. Hes in his 30's and should be on the decline. Having Ali mentor Kelleher would be amazing.
This guy is 100% alisson’s replacement, he had a shaky start but I think that was just him not having enough game time but he’s stepped up and ready to be Liverpools no1 imo
Ramsdale and kelleher are just as good as others .
If at all Kelleher needs to be sold, they should insert a buy back clause in the sale.
To be fair difference between Kelleher and Ramsdale, Kelleher isn't crap. Ramsdale is a massively overrated passion merchant
Against man city, with the rain darkening his hair, he actually looked like alisson
Liverpool fans are not surprised. We’ve seen his development
It helps that our CB's are top and legends.
True, but he still has made a LOT of saves. Especially against CITY last weekend
Well they screwed up against Arsenal by making a rookie mistake along with Allison.
Many United
Don't want to be impolite but i wish to say that Kelleher has delivered the goods in a world class standard with a nearly perfect talented style.. open to the tiniest possiblity of mistakes. So i feel and hope that no one is hurt in this way of sharing my opinion. Am done.Ha haha.
You will all cry if Allison was to leave and Keller was to be our main keeper, Keller, has improved his shot stopping, he is not commanding in the box, he likes to stay on his line when he n Ed’s to come for the ball, his decision making when to run out for the ball and when to stay on his line is not great. You would all regret letting Allison go because of this kid, was you all not saying Allison is the best keeper in the world, why does everyone nowadays have recency bias, this kid is no Allison do not fool yourself.
Hey may want to leave for more football, but he is winning titles with Liverpool. You don't get that opportunity with most other clubs.
I doubted him after his 1st two games but since he has been immense. I was actually glad he was in goal for the city game as Allison often makes a mistake in those type of games.
Agree, Ali has been prone to mistakes and I don’t think he’s ever scored a penalty before 🤔
@@lewislee4565Just like Kelleher hasn't scored a headed goal. Stalemate. Alisson oozes class and then some.
Mate "Brian Ortega" is a UFC Featherweight contender
I bet Irish are different and they have great reflexes 🧐
I'm Putting my team 1st ahead of my love for any individual player in this comment!
For some time now I've thought that Kelleher IS the better goalkeeper of our top two keepers. All keepers will make mistakes now and then. Selling Kelleher would be imo a BIG possibly very expensive error by LFC!
As for Allison; brilliant keeper, but on this season's showings, not brilliant enough!
The real test for this academy will be when the new manager arrives.
I'll be honest the match against man city I was actually glad we didn't have Alisson. Alisson Almost always has a goal causing mistake against them. Latest in the first leg when he tries to send a ball for salah to run in normal fashion and mishits it leading to ake assisting Erling.
they’re averaging over 9 expected goals against in the first 30 mins? whatchu talkin bout bro😂
Is gud keeper
