  • We recieve many letters and questions that specifically address the pain of a woman's heart and the heart healing journey. In response to these questions, Melissa took some time today to share her journey of heart healing through some painful experiences. In a very honest and heart felt expression, we pray that we can encourage your journey as we share what we have been through and what we have learned through some of the deep challenges that have arisen in our journey.

I can't find a significant other that enjoys sitting and talking about various subjects and deep insights. I would love to have that.

It's very hard when you and your SO don't have the same level of depth. But you can start with broader concepts and narrow it down from there and there's lots of ways to connect with someone who doesn't share your niche

you are loved. I know it is so hard for me to believe it too...but know that God sees you and your individual tears and needs and HAS NEVER forgotten about you or your needs or wants. He loves u so much He gave His Son for you, to ransom you and buy you back from captivity.

This was a sign that I am still deflecting to receive God's love. I had bought God Loves Me And I Love Myself and it has been a struggle to finish it as I allow myself to get distracted. Heavenly Father, Your patience and compassion with me is beyond words. Father, help me to sit still and know that You are God and receive Your love for me in its entirety. You are nothing like my late father and he is nothing like You.

God doesn’t need anyone in heaven as excuse to take a child .Saying that God took a kid for that reason is cruel.Heaven has a lot of what we need here more than they do.Losing a child must feel like a huge betrayal. How many parents would bring home a puppy or kitten “for” their children and then kill the animal and toss it in the trash.Losing a child would feel like that scene only worse.Saying it was “meant” to be is defaming God.
Better to say”if I had my way this would not have happened.” Babies who die before birth may have been develop opting abnormally and couldn’t’;t survive. No one knows why.

I’m so sorry I had the same grieving period after for how I wanted my birth to go and my mother in law who is narcissist and horrible pushed her way into the room. I spoke up and said I didn’t want her in there nobody cared and she stayed in there and I felt so violated that this monster was in my first born birth and I was so upset with my husband. My mom said well you let her in there for your husband. She’s not in our lives now but that still bothers me that I had clear boundaries violated just something like that I couldn’t enjoy it.

My difficulties lately have been different than yours. But I have had a whole slew of them within the past year or so. This broadcast was so encouraging. Your openness and exhortation to press through the pain and to turn to the Father once again was so helpful. Your yieldedness and humility in relating to God is so helpful to me. I am finding new strength as my relationship to my Father deepens. You are a blessing to us.

My Mom lost 3 children stillborn after 5 months.Must have felt like being beaten up and robbed. double pain.Others think baby not yet seen not really lost although Mom knows baby is gone.Losing any baby is horrible.it is loss of something precious to parents.when it happens the Mom needs all the love and validation..12 weeks is a need to grieve.it’s knowing a baby was there at any time and now gone.No one can say “i had worse pain” .Pain cant be measured.People can be rude .Loss is loss.
YOUR PAIN WAS AS REAL AS YOURS.MY MOM WOULD UNDERSTAND YOU.SHE’S IN HEAVEN NOW .SHE WOULD COMFORT YOU

So this will probably not be read because it's posted 3 years later. But mark you mentioned and your wife mentioned, balanced many times. I hate when that word is used so often. Why because your balance and others people's balance may be much different. Balance is highly subjective.

I love you both so much. I am praying for you both. I hate sin so much and I am so mad at how it hurts my brothers and sisters. Melissa you are so strong and tough! You inspire me. I was gaslit by doctors for 10 years just to find out I had endometriosis.

Great discussion. I can relate from loosing a baby.
I believe everyone processes pain differently. Someone maybe going through pain and turn on and get inspiration from a word or a testimony or they maybe discouraged by other "happiness ". I definitely believe there needs to be a balance. If social media is a trigger maybe it needs to be put on hold

Honestly i don't think theres any right or wrong way to process loosing a baby ... Its painful and gut wrenching..Only Holy Spirit can bring true comfort...

I appreciate you speaking about this. I had to make the decision to terminate my pregnancy at 23 weeks with my daughter having a genetic disorder and being told she wouldn't live a year after birth. I feeling selfish now couldnt bare to see her die after birth. But I now often wondered if I wasn't believing in God and allowing her to live even though at the time thought I was making the best decision for her. The doctors said she would have to endure heart surgery right after birth and more than likely the insurance wouldn't cover the surgery because of her diagnosed genetic disorder. I am just truly appreciative you have spoken about these experiences. Thank you and God Bless.

I thank you both for your podcasts and videos. They always seem to appear at just the right time on my journey. May I ask: did you mean that for you both to move forward, you needed closure to your loss? The memorial was to allow you to grieve, mourn and honour your baby and to give closure to move forward? Forgive me if I am wrong.

I’m sorry you lost a child. I’ve never been pregnant so I don’t know what that’s like to have that kind of pain.
I can relate to the invalidation from others. Especially from church people. Yes, it’s true…Someone always has it worse than me. 🙄 I hate saying this, but I sometimes wish I could dish it back. But then I’d have to apologize… because I would feel convicted.
A friend of mine and I were just talking about this. People just don’t apologize anymore.

Hello Mark and Melissa. I am going through the sanctification process. And my heart is brokrn. I am so tired of crying. I have two adult children and our relationship is fractured. However, reconciliation is impossible if both parties aren't working on it. I admire your relationship so honest and real. You're a true blessing in my life. God bless you both always.🙏

Wilma, I believe i understand what you are saying. My heart is also broken over my two adult children..and I can turn on tears like flipping a switch..the pain is always there..but I know God doesn't want me to stay there forever..and I do believe it is a process...but in the process..I'm being changed..I hope this helped. Wish we could talk!
