A rather silly movie, partly due to the problems in making it, but also the idea of holding people hostage on a cable car seems a tad thoughtless when you consider the lack of escape routes. However, Stallone here looks marvellous, quite dishy with his beard, although he needs to smarten up if he wants to have a relationship with the criminally underused Lindsay Wagner. I also have a quirk where I enjoy seeing men drag up for a movie (Stallone does it twice in this movie, he also stars opposite Kurt Russell who drags up and looks fabulous in Tango and Cash). Rutger Hauer (a man I was fortunate enough to meet) and Persis Khambatta shine, Billy Dee Williams is a delight, although once again he doesn't receive enough screen time, and Nigel Davenport stars too! Oh my goodness, a great disco scene, with the restored Rolling Stones and Emerson tracks making this a nostalgic delight.
Vladislav Starikov Actually , this is one of Sly’s best movies Lots of action , suspense, and good performances from Billy Dee Williams and Rutger Hauer

Horrific, even for 1981 when disco was thankfully dying out at last!
