Great review! When you consider this is the same price as a Citizen Automaric Promaster, it's so much superior in every respect. The watch, bezel, design, strap and clasp, finishing and QC completely wipe the floor with the Promaster. San Martin have completely changed the game in the £200-£300 watch range and if that's your maximum budget you'd be mad to go for a Citizen, Seiko or Orient in that £200-£300 price range.
Yeah, I noticed from a similar pricepoint Seiko only offers the Seiko 5 and they are truly crap. Terrible bracelets and clasps and quite often terrible QC issues. Also only 100m of water resistance, so not sure why they bother putting divers bezels on them. At least the SKX were genuine divers.@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR
Great review as usual. Someone else mentioned it also but interesting how just a small set of changes can make such a big difference. And God bless SM finishing…Thanks!
Great comparison review, I think these new designs would have been much better if they had used the miyota 8315 with the 60 hour power reserve with Hacking and the much quieter rotor,it would have been a better comparison against the original with the upgraded miyota 8315, but I do like the newer case design with the crown protectors, not so keen on the new colours
just got my GB, it's so gorgeous. Fits my 7" wrist perfectly, and, if anything, could be a few mm bigger. Not sure why people keep asking for under 40mm watches, this wears great on a average 7 inch wrist
I like the new version but I'd like to see an 8315 in it because i have that movement in a couple of watches and it definitely is an upgrade over the the 8215 but you can't go wrong with the NH35. The only i would change on SN0GB would be the dial color. Whether you get the older or the newer version. Both are still a great watches. Cheers!
I do like the idea of the increased power reserve of the 8315. But does it suffer from the same rotor noise and wobble that the 8215 does though? They do have the new one with different dial colours other than this one I have. Or are you not keen on the gradient dial and would prefer a solid colour instead?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR No, I ordered the watch right before I watched your video. Your discount was better than what I got from San Martin though. Next time. Keep up the good work 👍
The more I see this watch, the more I like it. At first, I thought it was a little too big for my wrist but it doesn't look big at all on your wrist. And it's not a hommage, right?
I was worried a little bit about the size when I first got the older version. But like you say, it does wear really nicely and doesn't look as big as you'd think. No, it's not a direct homage to any particular watch. But it does take inspiration from a few though.
I'm currently in work at the moment, so I can't double-check it right now. But, I don't just copy the dimensions from the listings. I always measure them myself.
Pues no excelente precio con tanto que da, buen canal amigo. Una duda más cuál crees que sería mejor compra este o el GMT SN0116 @@HonestWatchReviewsHWR
I love this one, especially the blue one. Have it on my wishlist, actually have several SMs on there but could never pull the trigger. Im sorry, not using the appropriate movement is very annoying. Other Chinese manufacturers do it for much less and the old excuses of SM are boring. Too bad, i know lots of others like me think this brand is being disrespectful to us as consumers, we are not stupid! I do like the new gmt, original SM design. Great finishings and a good price but unfortunately i dont need a gmt. Hopefully SM will wake up! So i can add some to the collection..

Cheers. I completely agree. The specs and quality you're getting for money is really good. Especially when compared to the bigger brands, as you say.

Cheers mate. Yeah it's the little things that make a big difference isn't it?
Great comparison and brilliant outdoor shots. Just ordered the brown/orange now for my birthday!
Thanks very much. Happy Birthday 🎉
Thank you, hopefully it arrives in time 😂
I’ve seen a comment saying the dial looks almost more grey in person, do you think that’s true?

Thanks. Yeah the 8315 would have been nice. I still haven't actually checked one out myself... But I've heard good things though.
Small changes, big improvement.

Still making great watches, my fave brand. Great work as per.
Is that your favourite brand full spot, or your favourite AliExpress brand? Cheers.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR l think AE favourite, I have a fondness for Orient and Squale and the Aqua Terra is my grail.
@@gorillasinthewrist I thought that might be the case. They are definitely the best in AliExpress.
I picked up this bad boy in blue in the 11/11 sale on now. I'm so looking forward to it. I just hope the alignment is good - that's my only fear.
You should be alright on that front. San Martin tend to pay attention to the little details like that.
Did you happen to use my link at all?
@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I had it bookmarked from months ago so don't know if it was an affiliate link - hope so!
@@thegorn Oh ok. Fair enough. Anyway I hope you enjoy the watch when it arrives mate. You'll have to let me know what you think of it.
The newer one with the gradient dial definitely give me Seiko vibes.
Any model in particular?
Would be perfect with lumed bezel and jubilee bracelet…other than that it looks outstanding!
That would be nice. But it's still a great watch though.
I just ordered the green dial one, I hope is just as impressive.
I'm sure it will be. Did you use my affiliate link by any chance?

Homage to omega ultra deep but about 7 differences, I just ordered the orange one.
I think you wrote the case diameter wrong. In the new model description, it appears as '42.5mm(without crown)'

Realmente trae la válvula de hielo??? O solo es adorno como algunos modelos que existen, si es asi gran precio por tantas prestaciones
Sí, por lo que puedo decir y por el listado, es genuino.

Using the NH38 would have been nice, but for me personally, it having the NH35 isn't a deal breaker though.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR i even thought of replacing it to an nh38 myself. But when there are so many other options out there, why bother.. 🤷♂️
I didn't like the hand set at first. But it growing on me.
I'm guessing it's the skeletonised bit you weren't keen on at first?
I don't think the hand set looks bad, but I would have preferred it if the hands were lume-filled instead of skeletonized.
Very nice watch. But that brown dial doesn't work. This needed a white dial, it would be a cracking watch!
They do have blue and green dial options as well, if you aren't keen on this one.
Yes. Whispering Watch Reviews.
Or ASMR Watch Reviews maybe 😆
So, is the bezel on your GB red or orange? I can't tell.
I'd say it's a light red.
This is shocking that new one does not have Blue AR coating which would make it far more beautiful. Strange.
You prefer blue AR to clear?
Case back!
Whats the case size and lug to lug
I talk about and show all of the dimensions in the video. I think it's in the first minute as well.
Another homage. When will they start making their own watches
They already did and still are doing originals, doesn't mean they'll stop making homages. Why stop making money from things that sell?
This isn't strictly an homage.
