Im going to order some of the alpine to use in one of my vintage stereo speaker restorations. In the 90s i did pro car audo installs and always ran alpine head units / 11 band eqs but i hated the alpine tweeters because they were weak and would blow easily. I went with mb-quart and stuck with them the rest of that era. Now days mb-quart isnt the same company and the guys that made the original mb-quart speakers in germany have a new brand thats the same quality as the 90s mb-quart but they cost like 2-3k for a set of 3 way components so i dont use them hahahah. If funds are not an issue i highly recommend them though. They are called GermanMAESTRO.
*PRO TIP* The Alpine "Crossovers" SHOULD BE REPLACED BY ANYTHING ELSE! Not only to they operate below the tweeters Fs, but if you look at the Capacitor, it's not even Bi-Polar on the set that I got anyways. If you want to use these, AND you want them to sound good? Make the cut off at 5K at 12dB MINIMUM. These work great active when crossed over with a MUCH steeper slope of 24dB; BUT then you really need to use some kind of Midrange or Wide band driver, and then blend them in with the mid-bass. Out of the box, they work great with factory upgrades, or replacing OEM drivers for sure. I have yet to make a distortion measurement on these, but they will be fine for 99% of the people who buy these. FOR the MONEY? (on on sale for less then $5.00 on black friday sales) They are great. Buy a few and use them in projects or anywhere you need to put a tweeter or replace a blown tweet. But for My money and time I spend doing an Install, I tend to go with anything above $100 pair raw drivers from SB Acoustics on up. If you like it loud? They WORK.... Just have a few pairs of them around when they blow out as they are cheap to replace. I can't really give SQ advice anymore as I had something happen to my ears. Only data and Measurements.
Hello friend, I bought Alpine DDT s 30 series treble. Is it suitable for SQL? What are the middle and upper frequencies? What do you recommend for SQL? Is it the right choice?
Hi car audio is mostly up to personal taste and choice. Generally any aftermarket speaker will be better than Factory speakers. Your budget generally gets you the quality of sound. So cheaper speakers might be a great start point.
Does the base model BA falcon XT come with tweeters, to my ears it sounds like they don't, but Ford did put a decent system in those cars..20 years later still plays CD's through original speakers, which still sound half decent.
In my experience the high pass filter is used so that only the high frequencies can pass through the Tweeter speaker and all the lower frequencies will be filtered out so that they don't blow the speaker which is only capable of higher frequencies
Hi mate great suggestion. Unfortunately it's a big undertaking. It has been done, I read on falcon Facebook pages that some people have worked out how to do it.
If that ""Pcinener"" was free, I still would not put it in my car..... Unless, I polished the name off... Idk about y'all's friends but mine would never let me live that down 😂😂
Hey bro just had a question to take the windscreen wiper arms off my ba falcon can i just unscrew the bolt then it should come off ? I only want to paint them thats all cheers @FordMercGuy
Sorry for the tragic news! but the left Channel and the right channel do not have the same musical instrument sources. the sound Engineers will pan bass guitars on one side and drum symbols on the other so when you try to evaluate these tweeters you're getting a completely biased output!!.. .
Many of the electronic music producers i know will put the same mid and highs on both channels but will split the mid to low bass sounds between left and right channels so that the subs arent trying to play low and high bass at the same time. This is why allot of electronic music sounds so clean on even a stock stereo. This is also why i always run my subs in stereo and have divided sub boxes so my left and right subs can play different sounds at the same time.

No tweeters mate in the XT, especially being a base model. Yeah not bad for a people mover model from 20 years ago indeed.
Put some new speakers in the doors and parcel shelf and the sound is even crisper again.
i have a ford escape 2012 (usa version not ford kuga) and i want tweeters would you recommend a dash mount or a door flush mount
Door mount options might be easier since wiring will stay inside the door trim instead of bringing it inside the grommet to feed to dash
If you are installing them in a factory stereo do not use the reducer, you won't hear anything if you do
In my experience the high pass filter is used so that only the high frequencies can pass through the Tweeter speaker and all the lower frequencies will be filtered out so that they don't blow the speaker which is only capable of higher frequencies
Can you do a video on how to install rear power windows on a ba/bf falcon with original manual winders.

Cool I'll do some searching and see if it's worth it otherwise might just leave them haha. Thank for replying quickly. @@FordMercGuy
No dramas legend. I'd say it's a big project. If you have lots of time to spare would be a satisfying upgrade but I wouldn't say a simple upgrade.

Hahaha I feel you mate!!
I was looking at the thumbnail…. decided to click because I wasn’t sure if it was glare or china knockoff 😂
Hahahah mate 😂👌
It sounds booty too
low pass or u mean high pass filters?
Hi mate, actually unsure of correct terminology here.
@@FordMercGuy High pass, because they let the high frequency pass ;-)
Thank you and here I went thinking the low was filtered from passing through. Low pass filter hahaha

Awesome info mate!!
I think those Alpines are fake. Alpine never made them I believe
I think fake too. Alpine pricing would be more, surely!
@@SAD1911SAD Alpines? Ive seen the $15 Power Acoustik tweeters at Walmart. Maybe its those?
That's pretty cool that a humble Walmart keeps this type of thing on the shelf I didn't know
Pceinnner is duplicate of pioneer
Oh yeah? Nice!!
Kind of like how Coby is a knock-off of Sony. Probably not as good though.
Yeah makes sense!
What kind of radio is that my man?
