  • I thought I'd kick off this channel with a short wander and a brief look at a few things that you may not know about Kinver Edge in Staffordshire. It was a windy day and in places it affects the mic, even though there is a noise reduction feature in operation. So apologies for that. Thanks are due to Edmund Simons for showing me the location of the settlement and the rectangular feature a few years ago.
This is my first attempt - so be gentle! If you want to see more please remember to subscribe and click the notification bell if you want a heads up when the next video is available.

An interesting video of the 'Edge', which I know only too well. I married a Kinver girl in 1960 & lived with her parents for a time on Dunsley before moving to Stourbridge. Even so I used to regularly walk my dog over the 'Edge' & the video certainly brings back some treasured memories of those times. Many thanks.

Fascinating, I learn a lot from this - please do more. As a child in the 50's I spent many happy hours on the Edge, and with my own children in the 80's. My ancestors on my mother's side lived in the Rock Houses at the start of the 20th Century, so I feel Kinver Edge is in my blood! Many thanks! Look forward to more of these.

Thank you for watching Roger and thanks for commenting too. Very interesting that your relatives lived in the Rock Houses. I doubt if I’ll do a Rock Houses video as it has already been done by many others.
