Ramanj, an old homestead by the lake Tjeggelvas in Arjeplog, Swedish Lappland. I was out for five days in september paddling my kayak and sleeping in tent, Hilleberg Allak.
Epic quality - as equally epic as your most extreme winter movies. Those are epic for the extremity of environment and conditions you show us. This is epic for scale and beauty. The contrast between Autumn foliage warm yellows and oranges and all the blue/grays of the rock/stone/sky/water - fully gorgeous. There are also a lot of really well composed 'set shots' with great composition and element choices. I will definitely be revisiting this movie many times.
A great video, yes I could almost smell the forest! I like to see a fellow camper with a pair of binoculars, nature is also a big part of my live. Thanks for sharing, Steve.
Hello Erik, thank you for another beautiful video. You really captured the beauty of the Sweedish autumn. It is truly amazing, the wonderful quality of your videos. Take care out there and always enjoy the beauty of God's creation. 🤗
hey ! says the canadian the dept of the imagery, the view point, the infinite opening of the lens in the still beauty shot, the mixing quality, the attention to details, and the asian chime, mix all the way thru the picture , give it a spooky touch, especially in the abandon village with its architectural beauty, ''decay'' even the weather match the intent in the picture, unique to your art, ...salut pat !
The best one of the 15 or so videos that I have seen from you since I discover your channel a few days a go (and they are all beautiful!). Great sense of musicality. I love your work Erik in different ways. Greetings from Mexico.
Great nature. Great video. Great work. I feel like I'm trekking and camping in he same spots at the same time. Thank you so much Erik for this beautiful present you share with us. I couldn't thank you enough. Congratulations for this militant activity
There is always another Erik Normark film waiting to be discovered. I had never seen this one until now. Breathtaking landscape and expertly documented. Erik, do you have a preference about shock-corded tent poles with regard to fiberglass vs aluminum? Saw your tent in the lower right distance at about 12:30, on the shore when you filmed from that hill with a wide view of the lake. Expert touch introducing sounds (in this case the wind chime) and then later revealing the source by showing it. I never get tired of discovering your posts from the past. It's like going to a cosmic library. Cheers.
Only you Erik can make such a beautiful video with out speaking a word. Absolutely stunning. Thanks my friend. You are a inspiration to me. 👏👏👍😃. 1 day I'll be half as good as u
No my friend thank you. No ass kissing here lol you do amazing work. And needed you to know that. I'm in love with photography and videography. When you can make someone yearn for more after watching your videos like you can do. That's what I'm aiming for. Thank you again Erik 👏
Eric, in my opinion your videos surpass the rest (other similar videos) as greatest does least; never get tired of watching them; almost better than doing it yourself.
Erik, I don't think I have ever seen such beautiful films than those on your stream. Please don't take this as a morbid comment, very much a compliment, but if I am watching one of your films as I leave this earth, I will be happy.. Peace my friend.
i love watching your videos, i am from Indonesia : ) and it has been a while since i spent good time camping in the mountain and woods... keep uploading
So far I love this video the places you've been in this place this place is so beautiful they look so cold all the time there nonetheless it's beautiful
With a kayak or open canoe you can afford to pack a larger (& heavier) tent plus some beer! ;o) I like it that you always show cooking scenes. When camping, like the French, I "live to eat" and cooking is important.
WOW, I'm not sure where to start. Great photography, stunning landscapes, a willingness to be in those situations on your own and thrive in them. I've only seen 2 of your videos so far, but as of now I'm a new subscriber. I really enjoy winter backpacking and winter overnight canoe trips, mostly in northen Michigan, but hey, send me a plane ticket and I;ll be right beside you for an upcoming video...
Mr. Normark hey its Ryan. That was such a modern windchime are your neighbors still living there. Excellent tent shots by the way. I've gotten rid of two tents and some gear, but still have a German flecktarn poncho and gonna go surplus military cold weather sleeping bag. Just dont know many coutries that have good authentic gear for bags but the Norwegians. Seen a very cool mountain pack with internal frame. Do you think the Czech cook kit surplus stands good and is a two quart canteen suffice for two days trip?
Thanks Tom! I made a video some time ago where I show the sound recording rig in more detail: ruclips.net/video/NwrHh748Yd8/видео.html It's bulky to carry but I love the sound from it!
I can sure see why you would want a free-standing tent for those places. Is that a Hilleberg Allak(sp?) ? Edit: those autumn colors are simply beautiful!
Yet another awesome, inspiring film, Erik. Have you been getting any of the unusually warm, clear weather that we have had here in Norway the past two weeks? Impossible to stay indoors.
I 100% percent share your love for coffee. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched you make it, but I always wonder - is that instant coffee that’s being dissolved when you boil it? Or just regular coffee grounds?
Hello Erik, I need a camera for outdoors. Is it possibly for you to tell us which camera do you use to produce your amazing videos? Do you use a detached microphone? Thank you in advance.
Hi Jex. I use a little different cameras at different times. For tough and wet conditions I use a Sony action cam. Sometimes I use an old Panasonic camcorder. I'm looking to buy a Panasonic G80/G85. Thats is probably the most video/stills camera you can get for the money today and the one I would recommend. A detachable mic is good to have. Erik
Hi Erik, This looks much like one of the islands I lived on along the Maine coast. The raptors . . . were they a type of eagle or peregrine falcons? I hope you were able to save the drowning moth :) Thanks for the footage and take care, Donna (seems I need to go back to the beginning of your videos and catch up)
Did you have your Kayak with you or were you able to rent it there? Looks like you missed the mosquito season. What a location! Wouldn't mind renting that cabin.
Thanks. I had my own kayak on this trip. Don't know if there are any for rent at the place. I really like this place, I have been here before and will most likely come back.
Tack Peter. Kajaken liknar nog Oasis, men är en Venture Islay. Den passar bra för inlandspaddling. Funkar även till havspaddling men är inget fartmonster direkt :)
I watch Erik's videos over and over again. They are a meditation.
That's right. Me too.
Be glad that you have this pristine nature, and pure natural sounds..It is priceless..
A great video, yes I could almost smell the forest! I like to see a fellow camper with a pair of binoculars, nature is also a big part of my live. Thanks for sharing, Steve.
Thanks Steve for watching! Erik
Hello Erik, thank you for another beautiful video. You really captured the beauty of the Sweedish autumn. It is truly amazing, the wonderful quality of your videos. Take care out there and always enjoy the beauty of God's creation. 🤗
Glad to hear Ronald! The pleasure is mine :)
Vilket smycke till film. Erik, du är helt enkelt enastående. Du berättar så mycket med så lite. Och vilken miljö. Tack!
Otroligt fin film! Magisk natur också, hösten är nästan finaste tiden för sådana upplevelser.
Nice work of audio j-cuts. Appreciate the work you put into these videos so us viewers can enjoy these beautiful adventures.

God if I could just be there and live the remaining days of my life! So peaceful!

That is very flattering to hear! Thanks Jeremy
I have watched several of your videos recently and this is one of the best. Excellent work!
Tack Per!
Tjeggelvas looks beautiful in autumn colors! I have to pack some Polarbröd and come and see it myself :-)
You should! :) It's a beautiful place.
@@erik_normark How is the area for hiking? Looks very rocky and that's probably why you chose to use kajak...
We are all merely notes of chimes on the wind.
Thank you Erik. Caveat emptor.
i love watching your videos, i am from Indonesia : ) and it has been a while since i spent good time camping in the mountain and woods... keep uploading

Thanks Tom! I made a video some time ago where I show the sound recording rig in more detail: ruclips.net/video/NwrHh748Yd8/видео.html
It's bulky to carry but I love the sound from it!
Hi, love your videos. What coffee do you use please?
Thanks Sue. I use coarse grind coffee, so it sinks well to the bottom of the pot.
不錯👏👏👍👍👍
I can sure see why you would want a free-standing tent for those places. Is that a Hilleberg Allak(sp?) ?
Edit: those autumn colors are simply beautiful!
Fotogenisk verklighetsdiktning genom kameralinsen hos en mästare. Mycket vackert filmat Erik + + + + +
Tack för det matte, du är allt för vänlig :)
DOOOOOD!
Very serious sound recording...
멋진 영상 잘 보고 갑니다.
Yet another awesome, inspiring film, Erik. Have you been getting any of the unusually warm, clear weather that we have had here in Norway the past two weeks? Impossible to stay indoors.
Thanks Gary. It has been unusually warm but unfortunately mostly clouds and rain here...
I 100% percent share your love for coffee. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched you make it, but I always wonder - is that instant coffee that’s being dissolved when you boil it? Or just regular coffee grounds?
Thanks Justin. Yes it's regular coffee, coarse grind, settling at the bottom of the pot.

This looks much like one of the islands I lived on along the Maine coast. The raptors . . . were they a type of eagle or peregrine falcons?
I hope you were able to save the drowning moth :)
Thanks for the footage and take care,
Donna
(seems I need to go back to the beginning of your videos and catch up)
Donna, they were golden eagles. Elegant birds!
All the best
Hello very good video ! Thank you to share it. Just a question : what is your video recorder ?
Did Mike from France : )
Thank you Mike! For this one I used a Panasonic gm1, Nikon D610 and a Sony action camera.
tebrikler🇹🇷👍

Did you have your Kayak with you or were you able to rent it there? Looks like you missed the mosquito season. What a location! Wouldn't mind renting that cabin.

What were you reading?
Hi Erik, what brand are your boots???
Hi, they are Lundhags Forest boots.
13:09 ok with a bit of luck 😊, but what a shot.
What tent do you use in this video?
Hilleberg Allak
