I have been subscribed to you since the cake videos. I've been unemployed for 7 months now, and even though my household can function on one income, I love working. I feel so useless and depressed and guilty because of it. It's a perfectionist in me, I guess. I am trying to structure my days, and I work out 3x times a week. Seeing you this peaceful honesty brings me a lil bit of peace. I really need to learn how to not put value in my productivity and see this phase of my life as a learning experience for that. ❤
Thank you so much for continuing to support my channel after the “cake days”, I appreciate you. 😊 And as far as the depression goes as a newer stay at home partner, please know those feelings are completely natural. Depression sets in because getting up & going to work each day gives us a sense of purpose & belonging in society. We need those social interactions and to overcome the typical work challenges we face in order to feel good about a job well done. What I have done to feel productive at home is to start each day with a FUN workout I actually enjoy to get my endorphins flowing. This is very important to our mental health. Then I treat my “at home”responsibilities as a real job, so that I can still get those “job well done” feelings. Sitting around the house “relaxing” is a huge contributor to depression & fatigue I’ve learned. For example, I plan out my daily & weekly chore list to keep our home clean & tidy, which is a mood booster. I take pride in our home and take my time folding towels, scrubbing bathroom La, etc. Then there’s the grocery shopping & meal planning focusing on our favorite foods & keeping things fresh. Then I put on my calendar all of Chris’s errands he needs done for the week, such as dry cleaning pick up, shopping returns, buying yard work essentials, etc. I also schedule all of his doctor/dental appointments. Being a modern day house wife can be so joyful and fulfilling because you have the opportunity to plan your day to look exactly how you want it. I highly recommend getting out a notebook & jotting down what a perfect day would like for you. Start your day doing the things that make you feel good. Then build a daily & weekly scheduled routine. And don’t forget to get dressed each morning and put on a little makeup even if you’re staying home for the day. This will energize us & make us feel put together and ready to conquer the day. It’s very difficult to feel motivated to do anything while in your sweats or pjs. And lastly, join a club! A book club, a Bible study, or a volunteer opportunity that’s continuous. This also gets your endorphins flowing, challenges you, and feeds the social aspect of human interactions. I hope this helps you in your wellness journey while at home. Don’t be hard on yourself and know that building your perfect routine takes time. A little trial and error so to speak. Have a wonderful day my friend! 🫶🏼
@ClassicKina Wow, I am blown away by the attention to detail and care you took to write this🥹 I try to structure my days, but I will definitely take notes on some these suggestions. Thank you so much🎀🩷
Omg that harassment in the beginning made me LOL. I love your videos! Do you know which lipstick you’re wearing mid video in the car during your review??
😂 I’m glad you enjoyed it. We have a good time. And the lipstick I’m wearing during the review is called Posey, I believe. It’s a liquid lipstick from Jaclyn Cosmetics, so no longer available now that she closed her brand.
I always love your vlogs! They are just super warm and comforting. 🥰
Oh thank you! ☺️

He likes when I bother him. 😄 He was talking so much trash to me, but I cut that part out lol. The internet is not ready for my family banter. 😂
