Festool has actually had this idea in production for.. 15+ years. It has a module that hangs at the end.. for compressed air, vacuum, power… check it out … can’t get them in NAmerica though… 😔👎
I am fully impressed! It’s just a complete ruclips.net/user/postUgkxGqOCINHE0Z0E5gxzSdNi9NWGugRY5Hm2 plan with the best resources and step by step instructions . These shed plans are so satisfying as if the sheds build themselves on their own. Worthy work Ryan!
Congratulations Mr. Vereshchak, the idea of putting this extender was sensational, you can work on the entire bench with practicality and comfort, without stepping on wires and hoses. Congratulations on the idea. A hug.
We made these back in the day for rebuilding diesel engines in a large shop. Used it to roll blocks over for cleaning and assembly. Ours was attached to large I beams that supported the building with good used taper roller bearings. You have done a great job! Makes for a very easy to keep a tidy shop with less trip hazards! Nice!
Made one of these a few years ago with power outlets, a 500kg hoist on rollers and the main body was a 10 bar air reservoir for compressed air tools. Very handy.
This is the perfect solution for my shop. Now I can get rid of the 3 extension cords and air line. I just have to figure out how to make it 15m long. Thanks for sharing.
It's neat. One of the best diy boom vids I've seen by far. If you ever do an upgrade on it, perhaps you might consider putting in a remote controlled system, because it does seem to be quite a chore to position manually.
Amazing ingenuity, well done!! I have a camera boom in my shop that is tiny compared to your boom, but they are really helpful. I love how you thought through the different uses and can add things on as you go. Great work!
Good idea and good build! The only thing missing is a pipe to connect to a dust collection system. I like the fact you added lights, so you can bring it where you need it.
I've really liked your videos since the first one I found several years ago, but now that I found out you live in Ukraine I am even more impressed with your work man. Your shop is something else! I'm feeling a bit jealous, lol. Especially seeing your bridge crane, boy what a nice piece of equipment they are to have in a shop. And this jib crane you're building is a great alternative, very cool idea. P. S. May the Gods of War be with you and your country and help to bring you to victory. And if you are called to join in the fighting, throw some lead downrange for me. I am 100 percent behind the Ukrainian people and with you in spirit.
You should add another one of those plywood sections so that it hinges out in the other direction, so that you can have double the reach. Since both can fold back away from one another, they shouldn't get in the way of each other.
I like your idea a lot. Never thought about a jib crane with electric, air, and lights. That’s one hell of an idea! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks ☺️

I don’t think I’d ever build one of these extension arms but yours turned out excellent. Great job and craftsmanship!
Thank you 😊

Pretty much the GOAT of shop boom arms

Man, that is awesome! I would add a vacuum outlet, I think, but that's a mnor detail. Your shop is pretty amazing too. Instant sub.
Came here to find this comment! Absolutely need to add a vacuum hose in there!

Very inspiring dude. Definitely one of those ideas you tuck in the back of your head. Thanks for the great video.

The only thing missing is a pipe to connect to a dust collection system.
I like the fact you added lights, so you can bring it where you need it.

Maybe adding another pair of lights on the metal part could provide full light over the miter station when extended? Awesome build anyway!
it is possible, but there is no need for me at the moment😊 thank you))
Гарно вийшло! Браво!
Дякую 😊
