The steering wheel and key warning light on your dashboard (Car Protection System Failure) is a common problem and an easy fix. The reason it's common especially in cold weather is that there's a heating vent directly above the clutch pedal which over time dries out the pedal's lubrication preventing the pedal to engage the clutch switch by about 25mm. You will not have noticed this 25mm or so as it doesn't affect the driving of the car. The fix is to pull up the clutch to it's fully released position and the warning light will go out. This can also throw a 'Hill Holder Unavailable' warning and it's the same easy fix. Lubricate the clutch pedal's pivot point at your earliest convenience. I hope this helps preventing you spending money on trying to find the fault as I know other fellow 159 owners have. Happy motoring. 👍🏻

Also I noticed you have a 'anti-pinch/crush'' window warning. To reset the window 'anti-pinch/crush' feature do the following:
Get in the car and close all the doors. Key in ignition but don't start. Drop driver's window and hold button for 10 sec.
Drop passenger window and hold button for 10 sec.
Raise passenger window and hold button for 10 sec.
Raise drivers window and hold button for 10 sec.

The legendary car Alfa Romeo 159, whose video I have been waiting for a long time, was a pleasant video with its timeless design.
There are many more vehicles to video will be shot in Turkey, if you come again. :)

Hey bro. What do you think about this car. I'm thinking to buy a diesel one 1.9. Is reliable enough? No need to go to garage and mechanic everyday?

I had an Alfa 159 for three years and steering wheel always returned to 0 position. There's something wrong with the car on the video.

Haha... consumption 5.7 claimed. I once had one of these as a replacement when my Punto was serviced. Looking at the fuel gauge made me cry. I don't even think 7.5 would come close.
It's a beautiful car but in my eyes, it can't hold a candle to the 156 - or any of its predecessors, really. And this one's pretty slow even on paper. Funny enough, that was about when more and more non-Alfa-buyers started to buy Alfas.
A little anecdote: I remember standing at the bus stop - probably in 2004 or 2005 - overhearing a conversation...
Him: "I just bought an Alfa."
Her (surprised): "But Alfa... aren't they like Fiat?"
Him (disgusted): "Oh no... they're totally different."
    🙄

I own both the 2.4 versions of the 156 (175 hp = 126.4 Hp/tonne. 385 Nm torque = 278 Nm/tonne) & 159 (210 hp = 132.5 Hp/tonne. 400 Nm torque = 252.4 Nm/tonne) and they're two completely different cars to do a comparison. The 156 is like a go kart on steroids due to the higher torque per tonne ratio and lower centre of gravity. It is very good in the twistys but isn't as well built as the 159 with rattle and squeaks showing its age. The 159 is solid and far superior in the comfort department and is much better suited to cruising effortlessly on the motorway as it's a heavy car. Combined fuel economy urban/motorway the 156 averages 42.8 UK mpg and the 159 41.5 UK mpg.

That consumption is bs. I had an alfa exactly like this, 1.9 jts petrol. In the city, it consumed 13-14 liters. On highway, around 7 at 110 kph. Around 9 at 140.
Consumption on highway is extremely high, considering the performance of this car, which is lackluster. As for the city consumption, I think even Ford Mustang is more fuel efficient than this piece of crap.

Acceleration is a little disappointing...but o.k. the car is 18 years old.
The cockpit looks small and cheap...

It's even disappointing on paper, so it's not the 18 years.

    • @One_over_the_eight

It looks small because of the camera angle as the interior is very spacious with a width of 1.828 metres. The length of the car is 4.66 metres with a 2.7 metre wheelbase. They're well built cars, no squeaks or rattles as he went over all the bumps after all these years. Admittedly the cloth interior isn't the best but the majority of 159s have leather interior, I have black 159 with tan leather also the brushed stainless steel instrument cluster surround and trim is far from "cheap looking". The 159 has different variations of petrol and diesel engines from 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, (Four cylinder) 2.4 (Five cylinder) and the 3.2 V6. The one in the video is a 1.9 JTS (petrol) with 160 hp but only 190 Nm of torque whereas the 1.9 JTDM (diesel) has 10 hp less at 150hp but 320 Nm of torque.
