Hi, from Indonesia here. Just wanted to say that I watch your videos religiously to look for inspiration to teach my classes (I teach concrete structures). I love how you convey complicated concepts simply to make it more fun and accessible to people. Please make more of these videos! especially the ones for the basic concepts. Looking forward to watch more and more of your content. again thank you for making these. Showing just the possibilities of great teaching.

Hello. I love your videos. What is your opinion of Helix Micro Rebar??

Thanks so much! I have never tested it and so I am not sure. I was following the previous versions of helix but I am not as familiar with their latest work. Look for a fiber video soon.

@@TylerLey I'm a general contractor not a concrete guy, however, I am slowly becoming a concrete guy the more I learn of its diversity of use. The Helix Micro rebar would be worth looking into for what it claims it can do. The difference with it vs a fiber is that the Helix are 1 inch long (like a tooth pick size) twisted steel so the twist causes a mechanical connection as it would need to twist the bar when pulled rather than a smooth fiber. I would love your opinion!

Thanks! I am going to talk about the Helix in my next video. I have some video showing the twist. I don't have any data with it but I think it is a great idea. I remember reading the original papers on it almost 10 years ago!

You need to find something that inspires you and that you have the resources to make a contribution to.
