An enormous diolch yn fawr for posting this. This video brings us in "old times" when people, united in a church (or anywhere else) would share the simple pleasure of singing togoether . We would not have this in Brittany, except in the dances (our "fest-noz", and " fest-deiz") where all generations are dancing traditional dances in a very "non formal" way (it's neither a show nor a performance, just the pleasure of dancing all togoether). But singing is great !
See this video is like beeing transfered (in Dr Who TARDIS ?) in the past. Thankyou so much, so much, and please... never take it off !!! (if it occured, disaster ! because I suppose there ane not DVD archives of this program, sold by BBC Wales). And please do forgive typing and language errors !

I know this tune, Charles Wesley wrote the hymn Love Divine, All Loves Excelling to this Welsh tune.

Thanks so much for posting this. It's a snapshot into how things used to be especially now that many of these chapels are no more. No young people there though which indicates what the future held.

Actually..there were many young people there doing various items!

Sadly time proved musicmang84 1right though. The congregations are far reduced these days and no doubt assembled especially for the programme. I'm not religious but nothing has replaced the important role it fulfilled of establishing some kind of moral code. Now it's just a free-for-all with most people just pleasing themselves with no regard to the consequences.
