What breaks my heart about Edward is the fact that he spent all his time alive and dead beating himself up for something Ramsley lied to him about. He thinks Elizabeth killed herself because of something he did. All that anger, all that hatred, all that pain, was for himself. He never wanted to hurt her. He felt like he killed her, so he felt it was only fair that he kill himself as punishment for what he thought he did.
In my (not so) humble opinion, I believe she made the wrong choice in the end. As happy as she might have felt with her own life at the time, it was clear to see she was not sharing a happy marriage with Jim, and therefore passed up a perfect opportunity to start anew with someone who could love her with a passion that could contend eternity. I would have chosen differently.
But wouldn't her life be on the line? Cause in the butler tries to poison Sarah so she could die and be with master gracey even though she is not truly Elizabeth-

@KTBEverlasting Yes, of course, but who's to say that her spirit would not have been released anyways upon seeing her true love finally happy. And being that she was her doppelganger, it would not have been his fault for doing so either, as he could not have possibly known that she was not in fact Elizabeth. Easy enough of a mistake, considering the circumstances. Sure it turned out better for everyone in the end the way the story truly goes, but still- it's fun to fantasize a different ending in which she chooses him over her neglectful husband, and lives out a better love story for herself, but obviously this leaves out the children and so forth..... it was just for fun to think so, that's all.

My heart leapt when I saw him for the second time as Arthur's maternal Uncle in Merlin! EDIT: The eyeliner game is real though rewatching as an adult!
I rewatched this movie a few days ago, and his performance stood out to me the most. He has a great screen presence. A commanding voice. Very underrated actor.

Master Gracey was probably a slave owner in the original haunted mansion if you think hard about the setting and the time period so i always liked the twist they made in this movie as a huge haunted mansion fan who happens to be black
Well it does kind of make sense considering why ramsley would have been so against him getting married to her, Who knows maybe she was a freed slave even if she didn't work for them originally. It was clear he was racist and he was very high class even as a butler.
