You really don't know that language's like Cobol, fortran, RPG were use for business in the 60's and 70's and there use was very common.... some of them were the bases for new computer language that we have today.... basic was one of the easy ones in the 80's..... today we use all dose codes...but some were born whit dose language's on there core.... Cobol is use today on some government and business. Yes is old and you don't have many programmers that know Cobol....the ones that know it and work whit it are dead or retired and college's are not giving those old computer language's ... only in some occasion's and whit limited space ( for basic Cobol and not advance Cobol )....yes is old and it has no wifi ( so you don't hacked with wi-fi you have to fiscally conet to it via cable and normally that's inside the facility ).... good luck with your haking it will not be easy.... even wen is connected to the internet via a servers and all those firewalls......so don't think dose old computer language's are not useful because you're rong my friend

There is a lot more of closed source programming languages. A lot of them aren't known to the public tho. That's how they keep their code private. Mostly buisness and data analysis ones. Also, iirc there are database languages specific of Microsoft servers.

While i do agree that not mentioning assembly is not that great since it represents one of the extremes, fortran is still too niche for the current times to care about over many others
to put it simply C was the first programming language and explained how everything worked under the hood and if you take Harvard's CS50 course they explain what each component does
it is as a programming language because first it was assembly before that it was just binary going back to the 1990s when the first computer was invented it had the human insert certain instructions for the machine to compute the desired results from the human afterwards. Then c language was created few years after and everything from there all other programming languages got their syntax

Use Hugo and be happy to get a clean WWW back. For security reasons, C/C++ should no longer be used these days if possible. So for me it's more about the choice than about technical errors.

I think you're a few hundred short. You really should have Lisp and Prolog as they are foundational languages in their domains. Smalltalk too. And they're currently in use with free implementations.

Android apps are made from Java if I'm not wrong in the Android Studio.
