    Man, you really did an awesome job of capturing the feel of this trip buddy! Felt like I was right there with ya. Happy that you were able to get out and enjoy (even with the less than ideal conditions). Sometimes those kind of trips make for the best memories though, eh 👍 Hope you and yours had a Happy Easter brother! Peace... ✌

    "Squeezing a one nighter in because I can" is the way. Woke up Saturday morning this past weekend and said I have nothing else going on, time to go camp and did just that! Cheers!

    Nice spot for a relaxing overnighter. Like that stove fire box/ grill combo idea. Simple but tasty looking meals. Pretty cool hearing the Canadian "honkers" in the am.
    No bugs is always good 🤝🏻

    The grill grate was something I was wishing that I had on my last trip. I've used the can insulating trick a bunch in the past. Wrapping the can in foil helps also. Looks like a really nice place to spend the night!

      @MeetMeOutside  6 месяцев назад

      Yes, foil works great too. Thanks for stopping by man !

    I’m definitely getting those hammock poles.
    Good food and Beer and being outdoors. That’s livin.
    Really nice trip 👍🏻👍🏻

      They help a lot ! I use the same poles with my hammock gear Dyneema with doors . You just need to add a small length of shock cord and a bit of cord. To the tie out. Or just cord . So much easier than tying to stakes or trees !

    Sweet spot Craig. Your meal looked fantastic. I picked up a pair of the NRS boots last year at Piragis Boundary Waters Store in Ely. Fantastic group of people there. Worked great in the BWCA. Thanks for the great video!

    Nice chill first paddle of the season Craig! Enjoy your trip down to SC. Enjoy the long walks on the beach. My wife and I love it down there and have been several times. Not Myrtle beach per se but North Beach just North of Myrtle.

      Thanks ! Yes we are a little bit north of Myrtle Beach, it’s a bit “ calmer “ the beaches are wonderful ! Peace ✌️

    Nice Craig. I've been debating getting those tarps poles. Love the use of the stove too.

      Thanks my friend . Yes the poles are so much better than tying off to trees or stakes in the ground. The stove worked out well, especially for areas without an existing fire ring. Hope you are well my friend !

    Showing all the equipment is awesome my friend…….
    Question…?
    Have you ever heard of Jackson Kayaks ….?
    Just wondering what’s your opinion on them…?
    Thanks again for all your efforts and great editing 💯

    Its nice to get out early. We are looking at 3-6 inches of slush later this week. It won't last but a day or two after. Open fishing to all waters starts today. Do the hold out rods just rest on top of the ridge line? Can or do they shift with a big side ways wind blowing on it or do they stay put? Contemplating those boots, always worried they come off hard but that didn't look to bad. I presume they can be hot when it gets hotter out? And how cold can you go in them and still have warm feet?

    • @MeetMeOutside
      @MeetMeOutside  6 месяцев назад +1

      Sure, the pull out rods have never moved on me, they stay put even in heavy wind. They rest on top of the sewn ridge line. When I use my tarp with an continuous ridge line, they rest on top of the line. So much better than tying out lines to stakes or trees to use the pull outs.The boundary boots come on and off fairly easy. Surprisingly they don’t get super hot in warm weather. Then again I don’t use them in hot weather. I’ve been in and out of water just above freezing and my feet didn’t get cold. But I’m sure they have limits ! Thanks for stopping by man !

    Craig. Also, that fire box cuts down on sparks blowing in the wind. And was that a Mora ?

    • @MeetMeOutside
      @MeetMeOutside  6 месяцев назад +1

      Correct ! It does keep most of the sparks contained. And yes, I enjoy using a Mora on occasion ! Cheers
