For some of us it is easy to find it in our hearts to forgive others, yet we have a very difficult time when it comes to actually forgiving ourselves. It is impossible to move on without forgiveness. The energy it takes to harbor anger and resentment is exhausting. I grant forgiveness out of selfishness, not generosity. By holding on; those thoughts turn to anger; anger to hatred; and hatred hardens our hearts. All of Christianity is based on that very premise of forgiveness, How can we expect forgiveness when we are unwilling to forgive others; or our very selves for that matter? Forgiveness has “No Partiality”. It is equally important to be able to forgive ourselves as it is others.
“You are not worthy” - If I had a dollar each time I said those words to myself, I would be a wealthy man. Many of us blame our problems; low self esteem, and lack of success to the judgmental and condescending nature of others towards us. However, few of us take a hard look and realize the self- condemnation we often subject ourselves to. Sometimes we are our own worst critic and also our own worst enemy. We allow ourselves to sink to such a “Low” than we envision it impossible to again rise.
By accepting this sub-standard as the norm we, subconsciously, gain “relief” as we let ourselves off the hook. We are what we are, correct? Might as well just accept it and move on. This is not acceptance of reality. It is a literal cop-out. If you don’t like who you are; change it. If you don’t like your actions; stop doing them; if you don’t like your friends; befriend new people. Stop seeking the problem and embracing it; instead seek out the solution and implement it.
For me this was always “easier said than done”. Great speech….now what? For me the answer came in one simple word…”Forgiveness”. I was always kind and willing to forgive others. That part was easy for me. However, I was never able to forgive myself. When I came to this realization, it was a liberating moment. I was finally able to stop playing God with myself.
Not forgiving one’s self is a form of pride. By doing so, we hold ourselves to a higher standard than we hold others. Thus believing we are less capable of error. Pride goes before destruction as does unforgiveness. The faster you forgive, the faster you begin to heal. Healing will enable you to then invest energy and compassion back to the situation and the people you may have wronged. Forgiveness will bring the peace that we all seek. Through that forgiveness I was finally able to let go. This thus enabled me to move on, and beyond. Beyond who I was, and forward as to whom I can be.
Even though some wrongs cannot be undone, we can invest the time and energy to aid others that find themselves in similar circumstance and not share the same fate we did.

This movie is totally on another level.. it's just today that in our bible study we've been looking at 1 Tim chapter 1 that speaks about law and grace verse 14 "And the grace of our lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesu." This is a memory verse that will keep me moving, I've really felt God is speaking to me about forgiveness in this season How I pray that I may not be reluctant to this voice.Thankyou so much for this movie!

Beautiful story of love and forgiveness. Oftentimes, when we commit big mistake we tend to turn away from God coz we though He can't forgive us. But the truth is..it's us who can't forgive ourselves. I've experienced it myself. It's really hard. But when I completely surrendered myself to The Lord..I've learned and able to forgive myself. It's a process but The Lord didn't leave me. Was in a Coma with full kidney shut down (Renal Failure).
I was a big load Bodybuilder/kickboxer, champion Breakdancer.
When I awoke after Right side Stroke, All I could think about was I would Never Dance or Walk again.
I Hated Myself and could Never Forgive Myself!
Watched my Dad die on Valentine's Day 14/2/99. Watched My Mother Die 14 years later.
Been Grieving went back to Drugs, killing myself on and off last 30 years, the Self Destruction I caused Myself and rest my family.
Watch My 2 Daughter's Fall out , one follow me down a Drug fuelled road and made My life still so Difficult.
Always praying Affirming , that Bitcoin agent did take £250 from my Bank!, He also emptied My account £2250🙄😒
Why can this Happen to Me, I asked God!?
I've Affirmed, done the words correctly but I Lost All my money, why did it Not work?
I Felt so Sad!, worthless felt suicidal 1/1/22 through my Drug
I have 2 Grandkids
They nearly lost Me !
I was so Selfish with the Guilt losing my Life losing my Awesome Jobs took me 3 years to build.
After watching this Film and the Healer and that I must watch more feel good Christian style films.
As it's a form of Help that I surely Need!
Yesterday I feel was the Beginning of My New Life at 52, 53 this April 2022 that my life wasn't, isn't over 😁

The first Christian movie that I watched through to the end. It didn't try too hard to shove down my throat (well, to a tolerable level it did) Christian values. Great actors, all of them, and the story & screenplay were credible, nothing cheesy. Worth watching.

Wow! What a powerful & so touching message..God’s Amazing Grace is all we need which turns the world upside down. Thanks for this inspiring movie, it really melts my heart and brings tears to my eyes. You guys are champions. I just love how Jack see the importance and great power of true forgiveness through his words & actions that makes all the difference and an incredible change in Shauns life, that he was able give his time for his beautiful sweet daughter that became a Real Champion at the end.. How Awesome. Well Done guys.
