The current Indian plant is near me. They built a tribute bike and called it the spirit of Monroe. It’s on display in their showroom. I worked on the assembly line for the first 1,700 Indians when Polaris brought them back.
I didn't know anything about it until i saw the movie. Once I saw the trailer, I knew it was going to be special. I hope to go here one day, very inspiring. I've always loved motorcycle, and an going to get back into riding, this year.
Since we're on the topic of clout cars, i felt like i would share my dream car. Its simple, yet elegant, powerful, yet comfortable, spacious, yet small. Its a newer model volvo v60. Whichever of the models i can get my grubby hands on, i simply like the small size of teh v60, but the fact its a station wagon makes me extremely happy because i habe more trunk space than a coupe or a sedan. I compare them to small or medium SUVs because thats what they basically are. Theyre also, just sedans with a hatchback style trunk space.
And you'll never guess what? I'm watching right at this. Very instant of viewing this Video someone to bikes in the shower. You just did movie with anthony hopkins
Are those reproductions or the real bikes? I would find it odd that pieces of motorcycle and New Zealand history would just be in some hardware store. They should be in a museum
Steer by wire is not a end all be all. There are cars that do it already. And some cars do it not electronically but hydraulically. having a direct linkage to the cars steering system is not the most important thing ever.
I always thought that he left the bike in America upon his return to NZ.... I recently watched a video where the bike was found next to a barn in extremely poor don condition.....but has been totally restored to running condition and is now displayed a numerous bike shows throughout America.......so one of these videos is total BS.... I'm thinking this one..
I think at one time toward the end of his trips to Bonneville he'd built a second frame/chassis/body that he'd kept at someone's shop in California, and was just shipping the engine to & from the US to save on shipping costs.

That's great they did a tribute bike to show others around the world.👍

What an awesome movie that was and what a great spirit Burtt was.
Oh man so cool…I need to take a trip
Fantastic movies
It's VERY Sad to see such an Iconic Bike being displayed in a store as opposed to a Museum which is where it belongs.
True
Need petition
This is a motorcycle museum as well as a hardware store
It’s actually a really cool hardware store. Motorcycles around every corner. And it free to look around.
What’s the name of this place?

good on ol burt for doing what he did
Same here. It's a very underrated movie. Most people don't see the underdog meaning in it.

Deserves a museum
Will they tour the US ever? I would love to see and would gladly pay a museum fee.
Thanks for this video & all the comments. I was pretty sure it was worth the watch, now I know. 😉

Is that a cot air engined bike at end of the short?
Looks like a Corvair engine.
I wrote Corvair spell check put cot air,
What is the last bike? Looks like a Boxer engine but with a Chevy logo? WTF?
Looks to be a Chevrolet Corvair engine.
This video wasn’t very well filmed for it to be showing something so legendary
