I'm normally a toe-up girl when it comes to hand knitting socks, but I'm with you in regarding to doing a toe up on the CSM. It was really interesting watching you fix that dropped stitch. What I love about this series is you show everything as it's happening - mishaps and all. Entertaining, but also educational!
Thank you, I don't wantto cut out anything. It's real life and any one could have one of these issues arise. I have only hand knit a few socks toe up. And I do see the value in it. Like any craft, we need to do what we like. My least favorite about toe with with hand knitting and cranking is the bind off on the cuff. I just can't seem to get it 'right '. LOL.
That’s for this! Every time I’ve seen toe up socks, they hung the toe at the beginning. I do like being done at the end but that Kitchener might be easier than stretching the toe.
I have only successfully did a closed toe up 1 time. I recorded two videos that I failed because I couldn't pull the toe far enough to hang. I think I know what I did. But I need to try it again. 🙃
I'm pretty sure I almost peed a little when I saw that stitch run. I would have had to scrap the whole project. I may need to dig out my old latch hooks(or buy a new one). lol Thank you for sharing this one. I kind of want to go knit a swatch or something just so I can drop a stitch and try to fix it.
😂 my heart sinks a little when I drop a stitch. Will I catch it in time? Was it in a hard place to recover? Etc. But when it is fixed, what a feeling! Yes, definitely male a swatch and fix a stitch, it really is empowering to do.
It's nice to know that there are multiple toe-up methods, but I'm with you. Why do it that way at all if you still have to Kitchener the to AND finish the hem edge? I think I will stick with top-down unless I get the bug to master the no-kitchener method. Thanks for sharing!

Hello from Mounds, Illinois.
😊 hi

There is a time and a place for everything. 😊 I also like doing top down because in the end, I only need to close my toe.
Thank you so much for your videos that's awesome! May I ask what you're using has your large weight?
My large weight is the stem and the 2 weights all together. I use a can coozie to hold them all together
