What about the thing before the thing? Dogs are being bad to be good or get the trade. Picks up the item, goes right to the fridge for the trade. Now the dog is huge and getting rewarded for taking the item just to get the treat. Even saw one dog on a walk that picked up a stick in order to get a treat. Didn't really want the stick, just did it to get the treat. They were training with a trainer and a shock/ecollars on too unfortunately. How do you prevent or retrain so they don't pick it up to begin with?

So excited for this! We definitely need arousal control! The links aren’t working for me, maybe a glitch, but I’m definitely going to try to find the videos referenced!

Hello Jenna. My name is Tamara, and I just discovered Dog Liaison. I have a fearful 6 yr old Shiba Inu/ Jack Russell mix intact male. Since we brought him home at 4 months, he has displayed a lot of fear, so we kept him intact with the hopes that it would help him as he matured. Now he is fearful aggressive (highly reactive to dogs and people) when outside. I have researched that neutering a dog doesn't solve aggression, and in fact it can make no difference or perhaps worsen aggression in some cases. What have you learned about neutering adult dogs that are fearful aggressive. I am considering this operation at this point, because he is obsessed with licking urine around the neighborhood due to wanting to mate, and I know this leads to anxiety for him. However, in general he is fearful and skiddish indoors, but very reactive outdoors. Would neutering at age 6 benefit him in your opinion? I know our culture promotes neutering for birth control, but he ALWAYS supervised when outdoors. I would truly appreciate your reply. Tamara
