Still waiting patiently for my copy of the game to arrive, but I have to say that DVG knocked it out of the park with the artwork in this one. The game board looks incredible and everything else (card backs, counters, etc.) is very thematic. I also give kudos to DVG for listening to the community and scrapping the universal rulebook and using Ben for the revamped rulebook. Looks to be a major improvement in that department.
Didnt back this one and looking at soldier cards, or lack thereof, Im relieved I didn't. Looks to be a money grab for expansion packs which if that's your thing It should be great. Cant wait to see reviews of this one...
I mean, they DID buy an independent designers game, broke it into four parts and sold most of the original game as “add ons.” You could call that a money grab, or you could say it allows them to sell a core game cheaper as a “try it out” option.
