The soymilk joke almost made me choke on my rhubarb-hooch. The drink is actually quite drinkable. 2:1 ratio of water to peeled and chopped rhubarb, 2-3kg of sugar if making 15-20L batch, downsize if needed (replace some of it with honey if you want) and a large fistfull of blackcurrant leaves. Step 1. heat up the rhubarbs, some of the water and some sugar but do not boil. Once the rhubar looks like it has somewhat cooked but not starting to break down, pour the whole pot into a fermenting container. Step 2. Add remaining sugar and water and check if the temp. is safe for adding the yeast. Step 3. When the temp. is ok, add yeast and washed, slightly crushed blackcurrant leaves. Step 4. Mix and put the lid and waterlock on and start waiting. Because the ph-level of this drink is quite low, it will start to clear rapidly after it stops fermenting. Highly suggest using some artificial sweeteners with actual sugar during bottling to get the acid/sweet-balance right. 3-4wks after bottling, the stuff should be quite enjoyable. Cheers!

While the execution is pretty blunt and hamfisted the idea of playing an angel who has to battle people's inner demons is actually a really great premise IMO.
7:30 That... is probably true. This game is probably inspired by a personal life story, one of self-harm and stuff. Believe me, people who have faith love to do these things, because there's a lot of passion for what they believe to be a life-defining experience, and it shows in the quality of the game (like, compared to others, this has a metric-ton of passion behind it)

hey thanks for talking about suicide and depression like that. it all seems funny when you read edgy fanfics written by depressed teens but it's a real struggle to wrestle with your own mind like that and not enough people really understand the illness or even want to deal with it. mad respect, man.
I learned an interesting statistic regarding suicide and men from the KnowingBetter channel. Apparently men _attempt_ suicide less often than women (5 men for every 7 women), but we "succeed" like 90% more often, because we choose more effective/violent methods like guns and high jumps, versus things like pills and wrist cutting (which almost never works). Not trying to make is seem like some kind of sick competition or something. We all suffer, and GMan is right, shit's not a joke. I feel like an old coot whenever i see the proliferation of suicide memes among young people, like, im sorry but that shit's just not funny to me. Or, I bet, to _anyone_ who has had firsthand experience with suicide or a suicidal loved one. Stay safe y'all, and make sure to say your prayers! jk lol god is dead.

Highly suggest using some artificial sweeteners with actual sugar during bottling to get the acid/sweet-balance right. 3-4wks after bottling, the stuff should be quite enjoyable. Cheers!
Gman is one of those dudes that unless I didn't see that he dies in the gameplay footage, I wouldnt believe it ever happens
Really glad I found this channel! Another great vid!
Wasn’t expecting to hear Sevendust get name dropped!
Great band!
Love your videos, your channel is my number 1 place to go search for good shooters to play. Thank you for reviewing older titles, that even my potato notebook can run, aswell. :D
I remember playing the demo version of this game years ago, but I could never remember the name. It was one of the only games that would run properly on my PC at the time.
"Anime the same as self harm."
“I couldn’t get it to work even if someone holds a gun to my balls” 😂😂
While the execution is pretty blunt and hamfisted the idea of playing an angel who has to battle people's inner demons is actually a really great premise IMO.
Gman at 5:08: put on some rage against the machine
My head: FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YA TELL ME!
7:30 That... is probably true. This game is probably inspired by a personal life story, one of self-harm and stuff. Believe me, people who have faith love to do these things, because there's a lot of passion for what they believe to be a life-defining experience, and it shows in the quality of the game (like, compared to others, this has a metric-ton of passion behind it)
Man I haven't heard Sevendust in forever. Now I gotta go listen to them again.
Watched them open for Godsmack a couple years back. Worth it
@@Zipppyart been on a sevendust kick since this video. First time I went back and listened to them in probably 13 or so years. Their music has aged surprisingly well and they definitely outclass most of the big band names from that era. It's a shame to see them get lumped in with everyone under nu-metal.
So it's The Divine Comedy but instead of suffering your personal hell you kick it's shit in. I'm sold.
If you remove the edgy dialogues this game is basicaly an FPS American Mcgee's Alice.
If you or anyone you know watches anime, call lifeline before it's too late
His shirt says "I DID NOT ESCAPE THE HUANTED HOUSE" you know those haunted houses people go to, to get chased by real people.
Love the Centrelink Reference mate
“I’m as colour blind as a bogan trying to find a job at Centrelink” I love this channel
"Not as bad as No Man's Sky" sounds like a reason enough to try something out...
I own the actual boxed game which I bought directly from Two Guys 17 years ago. It has a separate bonus material disk, which contains a whopping 14.8MB of data! If there are any insane Quake collectors out there, I'd probably sell it. ;)
All Jokes aside
It kinda warms me up
that i see people do stuff out of their faith
@Simon Farre you started it
@Simon Farre why cuckery though?
Aaah, i see. You're inadequate. Sorry for bothering myself then
It makes me happy knowing you're a fellow metal head.
Mario: "And if you watch anime, you go to hell before you die. Please."
Very positive review Gman, been through depression and contemplation in the past. That hit close.
For some reason the phrase "An angel named Mike" is hilarious to me.
Yeah, suicide and depression isn't a joke. A lot of my mates have gone down that path and they wont ever come back from it. It was cool that you had a serious message at the end.
I believe the angel being named Mike is in reference to the arch angel Michael. I'm not religious at all but Michael is like the archangel of like honor and duty I believe he also fights for God or something along those lines. I think they were going for a subtle pun
I guess you could say it's an Easter egg😎😎😎😎
And John became the demons was the only thing in my head while watching this
hey thanks for talking about suicide and depression like that. it all seems funny when you read edgy fanfics written by depressed teens but it's a real struggle to wrestle with your own mind like that and not enough people really understand the illness or even want to deal with it. mad respect, man.
I disagree that pills almost never work. Mix Xanax with most CNS depressants and you will probably die. Lost people to that more that other methods
@@highonheroin5352 maybe that sentence was confusingly worded, what i meant was that wrist cutting almost never works.
Jesse H. Oh my mistake
The dying sound clip sounds like it comes from the game Strife (1996)
Thank you so much for making this bro
SLASHING MYSELF ☜ how to spell 'Yeet' in more metalic form
Great video. The game looks decent, and you're right...anything that shines light on depression and suicide can only be a step in the right direction.
9:03 Compares level to Daikatana. 9:12 Says it’s good. 🥁 I’m here all night.
Complete guess, but that shirt possibly says "I did not escape from LA" since we have the first 4 words, I think it came out around then, and a lot of game devs are based around LA.
I actually just searched for "I did not escape shirt" and got a match immediately, it's "I did not escape, I got a day pass"
At 1:45 the sound your character makes when he dies is the same sound as when you die in Strife.
Man this game looks a hell of a lot better than all these 'retro FPSes' cropping up, and best part: it can run on even the lowest specced of computers! Optimization is beautiful.
It's like Quake but with colours other than brown! Therefor it is better than Quake.
Kudos on a Christian game actually dealing with mature themes and language. As an actual Christian I find the lack of balls in most modern Christian media heretical.
Gman, His shirt says "I did NOT escape ... they gave me a day pass."
Now you can die peacefully knowing that the mystery has been solved!
