But scat and jazz aren't weird... jazz has such a strong influence in modern sound - it layed a foundation for R&B, soul, hip hop and modern pop. If you were to say unclassical or non-traditional, that would be one thing. But weird isn't the word to use.
Joseph Campanella it’s weird because it’s unusual to see on the FX not because of anything else. I don’t think I’ve heard anyone else use the same music or something similar.

She's so elegant! I like this routine; it's sassy and fun, but you can clearly see the famous ballet training seeping through it
I have to say I've learned to like this routine and music.. Except some parts of the choreo, I think it shows her "sassy" side (Afan is one of those gymnasts who could perform to any type of music and still make it look good and interesting)
+ScyllaWag Yes, same happened to me, I think if we can consider this music not totally ugly in the end, is because ksenia performance is divine.

This is such a fun routine but its still artistic. She’s the quenn!
I fear she would have to actively work very hard to not be artistic.
Tuve proves you can be elegant with a non - balletic style
This is actually one of my favorite floor routines ever! But I think it is actually balletic, in kind of a non-traditional way. It's not set to Swan Lake but ksenia still has lovely posture, extension and toe point.
@@gutsfinky she but this is more modern than ballet, she for sure has great extension and toe point, but that doesn't make it balletic. It's good technique that comes from ballet, for sure.
You can still clearly see the ballet training in this routine, something you can't see in other countries like America.

Still think she can comfortably be in position for bronze if she not only adds the Gogean and the extra B turns for CV, but does them _well_. She also experimented with a front full from her 2 1/2 earlier in the year but I doubt she'll do it. Might even be silver if she can get past 15 because Miyakawa's choreo and dance elements are weak even if her tumbling is exceptional and clean, but it's wishful thinking.
The music...still don't like it that much and I doubt I ever will (or by the time I do, she'll change it again lol) when she had a lovely Lindsey Stirling cut from Euros, but the sassy Afan smiles almost make up for it. Her performance is otherwise pretty solid and should deliver.

+roland asi Titus No, leap was already named and FIG put the jump in the same box (1.409)
+Slava Ivanov isn't it the Ferrari? I think Vanessa got this leap named after her in London.
+jennyendlessly Leap is a Ferrrari, right. And I've just checked out CoP - jump is also named after Katarzyna JURKOWSKA-KOWALSKA, she performed it last year at Youth Olympics.

I would've switched these scores
gowreesh nath I thought this routine was better than Maggie’s, but her ef routine was not. I’m sure you disagree which is fine but I prefer not to be addressed that way

whit the diference that Skinner cant dance and she dont have expression
Gracie C. While this music is definitely not her best, afan is one of those exceptional gymnasts that can dance to anything and make it look interesting and natural, unlike skinner who looks like a dying cat
