Go to a celcom shop and spend RM10 for a SIM card. Internet connection in West Malaysia is perfectly fine. It costs RM3 for 2GB of data over 24Hrs or RM5 for 4GB of data. Most or probably all telcos in SG can't meet these prices. If the local connection in Malaysia is sketchy then roaming connection will be logically worse, due to SG telcos having no actual coverage in foreign nations and instead form partnerships to piggy back on the local bandwidths of foreign service providers to transmit information instead. Secondly VEP for bikes is a bit of a grey area since the purpose of it is for identification in cases of theft and also for toll payment but no physical form of VEP has been issued for motorbikes even before Covid. Since 2018/2019 their authorities have been unable to issue a physical tag or anything at all to address VEP. It is more geared towards cars at this point. No harm applying though. Next wear proper gear that works as per requirements of machine and trip. Meaning don't go and wear a riding jacket , nice helmet and racing boots only to have normal jean bottoms. It is an absolute waste to not gear up adequately then to end up damaging body parts due to unwise choices. Even worse is to not pack a raincoat and just ride with soggy boots cos "laze bro". Its just uncouth and moronic at this point. Maintain your bike adequately and do a ride from GP R&R/ Skudai R&R to at least Pagoh and back with F1 style fill ups to see if your body can handle the stress. If its taxing to ride on a well paved highway that has only 2 lanes then B-roads and NSH beyond Ayer Keroh is a definite no-no. Touring is much like endurance racing. More physical stamina and mental awareness plus a stable wrist is valued over guts because balls to the walls riding is not the game here. Prep your bike, Prep your gear, Prep yourself then embark.
Thanks for sharing! There's still some more to prepare in another episode. Definitely rain coat is part of it. That's why I said it will be a few episode :D
@@Motorgrapher Yeah i saw quite a few of the riders on social media (IG, TIkTok) presenting themselves as a positive influence but just screwing around and doing dumb stuff. Quite a lot of the younger and inexperienced riders are consuming such crap content and riding risky. You are great so far!
Hey thanks man! Just sharing what I use.. But thanks for sharing on the pre paid Sim card, the ones I saw recently, the package is rather crappy and due to social media use with videos etc, the gb available quite limited for me la, so didn't share in the end. Thanks again for your support too! Cheers!
@@parans95 Where do you normally get your sim card? Which store in particular. Recently i checked for celcom xpax near ciq and city sq they only sell monthly sim cards which cost about 40+ rm. Compared to 6sgd if i used gomo. Tried asking for the 10rm (which i also saw online) but they say they dont carry them at all. Thanks in advance!
@@sydznl go to celcom online and check out their authorized retailer locations. Not all shops that have a celcom banner are authorized. For 2nd link is near pontian and causeway is past Permas Jaya.
Good question! So far, I have no problem pumping in all brands but unfortunately, some petrol pumps area has their CC facilities offline, then you have to pay by cash. No choice. So far, I have tested on Carltex, Petronas, Petron, Esso and Shell in Malaysia. As long as you set your CC to overseas usage, it will be a breeze. But again, not every pump station have CC facilities online, some you have to go in and queue and then pay with your CC.

Noob question. For cc payment is the pay at pump feature available for all petrol companies? Or maybe only available at petronas.. etc..
