Because two funnels without any main guns gives you a tiny citadel. One funnel and no guns leaves the citadel at default size (very big). TL;DR: That number is meaningless until you add your main armament.
I think athe concept of a fleet consisting of nothing but Battlecruisers and Destroyers would be fascinating, and might be an ideal solution for a smaller nations navy in this game.
The Kongos had their 14/45s curtesy of the Vickers 14 inch gun sales man. The US at the time did have a 14 inch 40 caliber gun. You could roleplay that you bought your guns from the Americans.
Just to put into perspective how powerful the IJN, and RN were. They had comparable battlecruisers to the rocket in service in the same timeframe as rocket. Lion Class (May 1912), Kongō class (August 16 1913). The Germans are slightly late, Derfflinger class (Sep 1, 1914)
24:04 BroMunro yet again pretending he “forgot” to put conning tower armour on so he doesn’t have to admit to his Stalinist purge against his flag officers.
The Brasilia class doing what they're designed to do: intercept and eliminate squadrons of cruisers and destroyers singlehandedly as a pair of independent raiders. Now that you have secured the majority of South America, perhaps it's time to begin forming your first proper battle line with conventional dreadnoughts featuring the distinct long hull, thicker armor and more or larger main guns, applying lessons and insights gained from the 2nd Chileo-Brazilian War. It would be interesting to see which design philosophy you will adopt for the Brazilian Navy, if you are now willing to follow the contemporary designs featuring turrets amidships or just whatever that comes to your mind. Would be nice though if we can see a historical dreadnought design again in action with your fleets.
Battle of Coronel 15:23: Estadão, 17 May 1913 As the Brazilia, lead of her class of Encrouraçdos Rapido, and her sister ship Nigella moved into the South Pacific up the coast of Chile to take station and begin the blockade of the Chilean ports, the Atacama class Acorazado de segunda clase Los Lago, armed with eight 10.2” guns in two centerline twin turrets fore and aft and four single wing turrets two per side was joined by the Colo Colo class Cruçero de primera clase Cochrane armed with four 8.2” guns in two twin turrets fore and aft. It is some indication of the age of these ships that Cochrane was the newest ship in the Armada de Chile in January of 1905 yet was larger and had a bigger crew complement than Los Lago. We wish we could convey to you a dramatic story of our brave sailors facing shot and shell from their most insidious foe while their gallantry and fortitude won the day. But in fact the two Chilean ships didn’t have a chance. The Brazilia class of Encrouraçdos Rapido is armed with eight 14”/40 naval rifles in four twin turrets super firing fore and aft, has a speed of 30 knots compared to the 16 knots and 19.5 knots of the Chilean ships, and were simply able to dominate the battle. Brazila and Nigella targeted the more modern ships first, and with five 14” shells sank the Corchane with 679 of her 763 man crew. Fire than shifted to the Acorazado. Los Lago lost her centerline 10.2” magazine and her 4.3” magazine, flooded, listed, and sank with 573 of her 624 man crew. Los Lago fired one shot. Neither Brazila nor Nigella were hit.
honestly with the fascism, the whole lack of conning armor gives very "the nazis number 1 killer wasnt bullets, it was them using shitty officer cars with bad breaks and "high" acceleration
Re: Design of the Fouguete class of Cruzadores de Batalha. 01:30: Bureau of Construction and Repair, Design Division: Bureau Report: 16-Aug-12 Brief: The Fouguete class will consist of two Cruzadores de Batalha designed to a target displacement of 28,350 tons and a top speed of 30 knots. As the world begins to notice the capability of the Brazilia class, only now beginning to commsion, they are scrambling to catch up. The Marinha de Guerra Brasil however is ready to build the next class and maintain its dominance.Notable improvements over the Brazilia is the increased number of bulkheads and the increase of the secondary to 6" guns. The decision to go with two funnels gives the class a clear distinctive silhouette. Propulsion: The class has three steam turbine engines provided steam by three induced draft boilers burning new either coal or oil vented though two funnels generating 45,044 indicated horsepower turning three screws for the required top speed on a design displacement of 28,071 tons fully loaded with a balanced rudder turned by electro-hydraulic power for an operational range of 8,169 nautical miles. The class carries petrol auxiliary engines for emergency power. Armament: The class' main battery is four twin turrets mounted in super firing pairs fore and aft bearing 14"/40 Mark 2 guns with 14" face, 4" top, 12" barbette Krupp cemented armor, turned by electro-hydraulic systems with enhanced reloading, using improved Coincidence range finders, and with anti-flash hatches, internal shell handling, and thicker barbette armor. The main magazine carries a balanced load of standard sized 50% Base Fuze HE and 50% Capped Ballistic AP shells using Cordite Medium Burn as the propellant and TNT as the bursting charge. The secondary battery is fourteen casemates mounted seven per side bearing 6"/45 Mark 3 guns with 3" face and 0.5" top Krupp cemented armor. The decsion to make the armor thinner on these casemates to improve turning rate may be the only weakness in the class. The secondary magazine carries a HE heavy standard load of standard sized 62.5% Base Fuze HE and 37.5% Capped Ballistic AP shells. Protection: Krupp Cemented armor is clade with an added belt and deck layer 12" on the main belt, 3" on the extended belt, 3." on the inner belt, 3." on the main deck, 0.3" on the extended deck, 5." on the inner deck, 3" on the superstructure, and 14" on the conning tower. The Class has a double bottom hull, reinforced bulkheads separating extensive compartmentation, counter-flooding systems to avoid listing, pumps and piping for flooding reduction, and improved anti-torpedo bulges. A crew of 1130 officers and enlisted men will be provided standard quarters. The class carries an advanced radio communication system. Construction: The class will consist of the lead ship Fouguete and Invictus Cohete, which will begin construction in two months. Build time will be 19 months with a commissioning time of 3 months. Cost per ship will be $242,674,900, and monthly maintenance in port of $10,920,370.
Nice ship designs The latest versions of the game has the entire world in flames and when an AI goes to war it seems to concentrate totally on you despite being at war with others. I dirty trick the AI pulled on me was invade but have no ships but in the last turn before it does away they drop a TF in and take the province. That is ridiculous.
Is there a reason we're seeing so many "low fuel" ships in this campaign so far, even when they are close to home? Just curious if a tweak to the base game or DIP caused that.
I mean, it has the British motorways system on it and that wasn’t built until after the game ends. I haven’t yet found out how to change the map graphics
This is the End 41:11: Estadão, 14 February 1915 With the aid of the Koninklijke Landmacht of the Nederland and the Deutsches Heer of the Deutsches Kaiserreich, Chile has fallen. The government has collapsed and all resistance stopped. Brazil now controls the Pacific coast west of her terrirtory.
The US is at war with everyone .. has no fleet .. yet are not losing as there are no ships to sink and no one can invade their ports despite army logistics of 3%. Yeah, deeply flawed processes devs lol. I think all the new nations have really fracked up the game mechanics.
Foguete (Rocket) build confusion no Funnels 14432t 1 Tall Funnel 2 @ 903t 15355 1 standard funnel @ 413t = 14854t (should be 14845t) 2 standard funnels @ 413t ea = 13597t 1248t less for a second funnel? could it be less engine weight because of the increased engine efficiency? Or a negative weight bug?
Death in Santiago Incites War! 09:58: Estadão, 16 February 1913 A Chilean politician of some note, who had studiously promoted good relations with Brazil and the world, and worked to end all the phoney wars Chile has found herself in, thas been killed on the streets of Santiago. This bloody assassination would naturally rile the mob in the streets the República de Chile’s capital and largets city against the war mongering Movimiento Nacional Socialista de Chile party. Chile is currently at war with france, America, Austria, Japan, Portugal, Turkey, and the Nederland. The government in Santiago had a cunning plan however. Libel the Estado Novo do Brasil by claiming that Brasila was responsible for the murder. They demanded an admission of guilt and a large payment for the “blood debt”, which they had every expectation Brasila would pay, as that has been the standing policy of the government since the defeat of Argentina. Not this time however. The government in Brasila, in many choice words, explained to Santiago what they could do with their demands. This put Santiago in a bind. Hoping for an easy score off a known mark, they were stuck, either facing the blame for engineering the murder of a opposition polticican who might have stood for election the next time the government was forced into holding one, and won, or go to war with Brazil, with a navy left over from their last defeat and only one new Acorazado de primera clase and two Cruçeros de primera clase. Choosing what they thought was the lessor of two evils, Santiago chose war over rebellion. The Marinha de Guerra Brasil has been mobilized and the Brazilia and Nigella sent to Buenos Aires to fuel and fill up their crew complements and magazines. The Argentine built Encrouraçdos San Luis and Chaco were scrapped as an economy, allowing for the funds to construct Invictus Cohete. The Grajaú class was scapped when Brazilia and Nigella commissioned.
Too bad that Russia only got those weird BC hulls, I could really need capital ships who are fast enough to go from the one end to the other with all the high tonnage missions due to dissolving one has to deal with
Huzzah for some actual conning tower armor on the Foguete's
Conning tower armour! Saints be praised!
If i may, i do love the gremlin laugh you have. It do have me dying too.
2:54 this is what I was talking about! The game often gives you a big tonnage discount for 2 funnels rather than 1. No idea why.
Because two funnels without any main guns gives you a tiny citadel.
One funnel and no guns leaves the citadel at default size (very big).
TL;DR: That number is meaningless until you add your main armament.
@@AndreasMarx except that I've seen very weird numbers even with guns added. There's something else going on.

Ah yes, thy brazilia heredity it's real life counterpart of sinking everything that comes in contact with it. A truly remarkable trait.
You work way harder than alot of youtuders hopefully you can someday turn out with the same sub count as stealth17
There must always be a Rocket. Rocket is immortal!
Brazil should keep up the work of pioneering fast battleships
Brasilias: known by their enemies as the "Long nosed bastards".

Chiles back, tell a friend.
Glad the armor is fixed lol we always know it's your ships with the long bows lol
If you Update the Brasilias - two smaller funnels, widmen the beam and put larger Seconds on
What is this Heresy? Armor on a conning tower? (i instantly checked comments as soon as u started Building :D )
Enjoining the series! Thx again for choosing Brazil
YOU DID IT MAN!!!! CONNING ARMOR YIPPIE
24:04 BroMunro yet again pretending he “forgot” to put conning tower armour on so he doesn’t have to admit to his Stalinist purge against his flag officers.
I notice that all the barbette options that look suitably wide for 12-14” guns are too tall

Why not using the Quarterdeck and saving 300Tons for the Barbette?
Given that it's Brazil, the right metaphor might be, 'Like hot wax and tape pulling pubic hair.'
These battlecruisers aren't even fair, poor AI 😭😭😭😭😭
I suspect your BC concepts have made you a desirable ally, much as the British very much wanted the use of Japans Kongo's.
Ring around the Rosie, Battlecruiser edition, lol.
You could use Argentinian names for destroyers like Fangio and Reutemann.
Nice ship designs

One of the BC should bare the name Ayrton Senna

Yes it is because I'm having to have them sail around South America multiple times and they still use coal
The Developers should be ashamed for that historical WRONG Map
I mean, it has the British motorways system on it and that wasn’t built until after the game ends. I haven’t yet found out how to change the map graphics
Wonder why Nigella is so much lighter than Brazilia. Is that entirely down to defects?
I think so yes
Deploy the Battletangle!

😍
22:00 i see the AI found a file for the Russian Empire Electra class pre-dreadnoughts though they made it a battle box sooo ai be ai.

You’d think that, but you see that sort of behaviour in vanilla too 😂 US provinces probably need a bit of a GDP buff
Yeah, USA is a big push over in game if it doesn't start expanding fast.

🤷♂️
can we have a battle cruiser named the "Conner" class
I like the Brazilian BC Rondonia in Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts: Brazilian campaign ( 7:42 )
So Brazil sinks two old ships just of Coronel...hmmm
DCL?
